Choose Xiangling To Get "The Importance of Eating Well" Quest
It's not stated as a choice, but you can go to Qingce Village and talk to Xiangling instead of giving your ingredients to Chef Mao. This will give you the items needed to get the right ending for this quest, as well as unlock the "The Importance of Eating Well" Quest!

If you want to get the right ending, make sure to not give the ingredients Chef Mao requested to him. This will lock you into this choice and you will not be able to talk to Xiangling anymore.
Choosing Chef Mao Will Also Clear Quest
Do note that even when choosing Chef Mao, it will clear this Daily Commission. It can show up again as part of your Daily Commissions so you can choose the Xiangling ending instead if you missed it.
