Best Teams for Ineffa
Ineffa Works Best As a Lunar-Charged Sub-DPS
| Team | Rating Description |
|---|---|
| ▼ Lunar-Charged Team | ★★★★★ - In a Lunar-Charged team, Ineffa acts as the Sub-DPS using the damage-oriented Aubade set to further increase her damage contribution. - Ineffa's synergy with Columbina is infamous for its strong Off-Field damage potential that can be paired with a variety of On-Field DPSes since they only need each other's application to trigger Lunar-Charged. - Flins is the intended On-Field character due to being dedicated Lunar-Charged DPS. His and Ineffa's combined damage output, that are both buffed by Columbina, is what enables this team to be relatively meta-competitive. |
| ▼ Lunar-Quickbloom Team | ★★★★☆ - Nefer's best Lunar Bloom team is ideally made up of Lauma, her premiere support, and Columbina, the strongest Lunar reaction buffer and provides additional Verdant Dew for Nefer to consume. - However, the fourth slot on the team has always been flexible due to there being no overall best-in-slot option, so Ineffa can be slotted in alongside them, mainly as a sustain option. - Ineffa's Electro application can allow Nefer to trigger Spread on her non-Lunar Bloom attacks, which is a nice, if not minor, extra damage gained. |
| ▼ Lunar-Overvape Team | ★★★☆☆ - Ineffa can be deployed as a shielder and Sub-DPS for a triple reaction team composed of Overload, Vaporize and Lunar-Charged, where either of her teammates can make use of her Elemental Mastery buff. - The On-Field unit can range from an Anemo character who will trigger the relevant reactions via Swirl, or any Electro, Pyro, or Hydro DPS. |
| ▼ Overload Team | ★★☆☆☆ - Overload teams can be paired with Ineffa for an extra layer of sustain character via her shield. - She is one of the few shielders that meets Chevreuse's teammate Element requirement, which is important since Chevreuse is the premier pure Overload support thanks to her Electro and Pyro RES shred. - The lack of Hydro application will cause Ineffa to have decreased damage output, but she can still function in both the sustain and buffer roles in this team. |
| ▼ F2P Lunar-Charged Team | ★★☆☆☆ - Ineffa only really needs consistent Hydro application to perform well as a Lunar-Charged Sub-DPS, so she has the option to be paired with non-premium teammates such as Aino, who you can obtain for free once you progress through the Song of the Welkin Moon quests. - Aino is preferred since you activate the Ascendant Gleam Moonsign level, which offers added stat bonuses according to the elements of the non-Moonsign teammate(s). - Any other Hydro applicator is serviceable otherwise. - An Anemo On-Field DPS or Driver will make it easier to get consistent Lunar-Charged triggers, but On-Field characters of other Elements are also still viable. |
Ineffa is an Electro Sub-DPS who can enable Lunar-Charged reactions by converting Electro-Charged. With the addition of new Moonsign characters and artifact sets from Nod-Krai, Ineffa can be built as a Sub-DPS in Moonsign teams. Outside of Moonsign teams, she's still decent shield support whose Off-Field Electro application helps maintain specific reactions.
Activate Ascendant Gleam for More Team Buffs

Unlike other Nod-Krai characters, Ineffa does not have an ability that is dependent on the Moonsign Level of the party. However, she still benefits from having Ascendant Gleam enabled, which requires two Moonsign characters, due to the Lunar Reaction DMG% buffs it grants. So while not strictly necessary, it's still recommended for Ineffa's personal damage to have another Moonsign character in the party.
Note! | The Element-dependent buffs only adhere to one non-Moonsign character, so having more than one non-Moonsign teammate does not provide a second buff. |

Pair Ineffa with Columbina for Best Damage
Ineffa's strong synergy and pull value when paired with Columbina is a combination of her being the overall best Hydro Support and Sub-DPS for all Lunar Reaction teams thanks to her multitude of buffs, as well as the fact that Lunar-Charged is generally the more flexible Lunar reaction out of the three available.
While other Lunar supports like Lauma and Linnea have better utility, Ineffa's damage potential is notably higher to compensate for her weaker buffs. So having Columbina, whose Lunar Reaction buffs are teamwide, allows Ineffa to perform even better in her intended niche.
Lunar-Charged Team Rotation
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Ineffa and use her Skill. Burst is optional. |
| 2 | Switch to Columbina. Skill into Burst. |
| 3 | Switch to Sucrose and use her Skill or Normal Attack (x1) into Burst. └ If you're using Wandering Evenstar, do Normal Attack into Burst instead so you can use her Skill at the end of the rotation. |
| 4 | Switch to Flins. Use his Skill twice and then his Special Burst whenever it's up. └ His ideal combo will be: Skill (x2) -> Normal Attack (x3), dash -> Normal Attack (x4) -> Special Burst -> Normal Attack (x4) -> Skill -> Special Burst -> Normal Attack (x3) |
| 5 | Swap back into Sucrose to re-use her Skill. |
| 6 | Repeat from Step 1. |
Flins wants to use his Normal Attacks in between his Special Burst usages to gain Energy to use at least 2 Special Bursts each rotation (at C0), but his combo has some room for you to dodge in between Special Bursts (instead of using Normal Attacks) if you need to, making his combo pretty flexible overall.

|---|---|---|
Flins | Neuvillette Cyno Clorinde Ifa Navia Ayaka Alhaitham | - Reserve this spot for the On-Field DPS. The most obvious choices are Electro and Hydro DPSes that can help apply the necessary elements to sustain the reaction, but you can actually pair the Ineffa-Columbina core with most On-Field DPSes that don't have strict teammate requirements (regardless of element) and find that you'll still get serviceable results. |
Columbina | Aino Yelan Xingqiu | - Aino is the best Moonsign alternative to Columbina since she can activate the Ascendant Gleam Moonsign level to gain an additional Lunar reaction DMG buff. - If the On-Field character isn't Hydro, other Hydro characters that deal off-field damage are required to proc Lunar-Charge. |
Sucrose | Jahoda Kazuha Xilonen Linnea Bennett | - The fourth slot is a flexible slot for almost any support that can provide buffs and debuffs. - Jahoda is able to use Viridescent Venerer, can activate the Ascendant Gleam effect, and provide healing as well. - Xilonen works great as an Elemental Shred support and healer. Her DEF scaling allows her to buff Lunar-Charged via the Ascendant Gleam effect. - Kazuha is also able to use Viridescent Venerer, and his EM scaling makes him great for buffing Lunar-Charged via Ascendant Gleam. However, his Elemental Damage buff doesn't affect Lunar-Charged DMG. - Linnea is another viable unit for her strong Off-field DPS, Moonsign benefits, and healing without interrupting Lunar-Charged from happening. - Bennett is a great ATK buffer and can buff Flins' damage while also providing healing without interrupting reactions. |
The Ascendant Gleam effect works great for Lunar-Charged damage, so having at least one other Moonsign character works the best. When choosing for the sole non-Moonsign character, it's best to pick based on the Element and stat that can buff the reaction damage.

Ineffa Can Work as Nefer’s Sustain
A lot of Nefer’s best team setups drop the sustain slot in favor of a strong buffer like Sucrose or Nahida. However, if you find yourself unable to play Nefer without a healer or shielder, then Ineffa is one of the better options thanks to her modest Elemental Mastery buff on her Burst.
The Dendro application in this team results in decreased Lunar-Charged frequency, however, and she functions more as a sustain unit rather than a Sub-DPS.

Nefer | Alhaitham Neuvillette Cyno Clorinde | - For the On-Field DPS slot, you can use characters that can consistently apply Dendro, Hydro, or Electro to help maintain the reactions needed for Hyperbloom. Characters with strong on-field application and flexible team requirements generally work best, while those that can naturally drive the team's reactions can still provide good results alongside Ineffa. |
Lauma | Baizhu Nahida | - Baizhu can be used as healer and Dendro reaction buffer as alternative to Lauma. - Nahida can be used as a Dendro Sub-DPS alternative for holding Deepwood while also providing Elemental Mastery buffing Hyperbloom damage. |
Columbina | Yelan Aino Xingqiu Furina | - The fourth slot is best filled by a Hydro character who can provide consistent off-field application to help sustain Hyperbloom while working alongside Ineffa. - Aino works well as a Hydro applier who can support the team's reaction uptime while also providing additional utility. - Furina can provide strong off-field Hydro application and a teamwide DMG buff, but her HP drain can create some anti-synergy with teams that lack consistent healing, making her less comfortable than other options. |
While a non-Moonsign character can buff the reaction damage, Columbina is able to buff it already. Make sure to keep at least one other Moonsign character for the Ascendant Gleam effect when replacing characters.

Ineffa Is a Decent Sustain Option for Arlecchino
Although Ineffa's Lunar-Charged DMG is decreased due to the existence of Pyro, she can still contribute a serviceable amount of additional damage to the overall team DPS to make this setup viable.
Furthermore, since Arlecchino's kit mechanics make it so she can't receive healing from outside sources, having a shielder is the more appropriate option in terms of sustain, which Arlecchino's playstyle definitely appreciates since it's easy for her to dip into lower HP thresholds.

Arlecchino is best used first so her Skill can give her more BoL for a longer infusion time.

Arlecchino | Hu Tao Yoimiya Cyno Ayato | - Any Pyro On-Field DPS can flex into Arlecchino's spot on the team, but you can also consider an Electro or even Hydro On-Fielder provided that you have a character that can provide the necessary Pyro application. |
Bennett | Xilonen Kazuha Sucrose Durin Nicole | - Arlecchino (and other Pyro DPSes) usually get good milleage out of Bennett's generous ATK buff, but you can substitute him for other synergistic buffers such as RES shredders or, if you're using an Electro or Hydro DPS, can opt into an Off-Field Pyro applicator like Durin instead. - Nicole is also an ATK buffer with about the same value as Bennett, albeit she grants an additional shield. She is a little more effective if you have another Hexerei character in the team, however. |
Yelan | Xingqiu Aino Columbina | - It's recommended to have someone with reliable and consistent Hydro application to ensure that you can still trigger some Lunar-Charged procs to enable Ineffa to function as more than just a shielder in this team setup. - Aino can be considered if you want to take advantage of the Ascendant Gleam buff, but her Hydro application is limited and is better suited alongside a Hydro DPS in this team instead. |

Ineffa's Electro Application Lets Her Flex into Overload Teams
Ineffa was made to be played in a team where she can trigger Lunar-Charged for her to be able to deal direct Lunar-Charged DMG, but since Birgitta does apply Electro fairly reliably regardless, you can use her in place of other Electro Off-Fielders if you want to take advantage of the comfort her shield provides.
This type of Ineffa usage is notably effective for On-Field DPSes with low resistance to interruption and whose damage relies on Normal Attack combos, like Klee, and Klee especially appreciates Ineffa's AoE Electro application that pairs well with her own AoE attacks.
Overload Team Rotation
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Durin. Use Elemental Skill twice to enter the Confirmation of Purity state. |
| 2 | Switch to Ineffa. Use Skill, Burst is optional. |
| 3 | Switch back to Durin. Use Durin's Burst. |
| 4 | Switch to Chevreuse. Use Skill (Hold) into Burst. |
| 5 | Swap to Klee. Use Normal Attack (x 2), Skill, then Burst immediately. Spam Normal Attacks while Burst is active. |
| 6 | Repeat from Step 1. |
Ineffa can skip using her Burst since Overload doesn't benefit much from an EM buff.
Substitute Characters

Klee | Yoimiya Arlecchino Razor Clorinde | - Pyro or Electro On-Fielders that would prefer to be run with a shielder can be decent flex options for Klee's role as the On-Field DPS. - Electro options would prefer to have a teammate with reliable Pyro application. |
Chevreuse | Durin | - Chevreuse is the dedicated Overload support, especially at C6, due to the amount of beneficial buffs she provides to the team, which includes Electro and Pyro RES shred and a teamwide ATK% buff. - She has no true replacement that can match her in terms of value, but you can make do with someone like Durin who does provide a bit of RES Shred himself, which is increased if he's paired with another Hexerei unit, ideally Nicole. |
Durin | Pyro Traveler Mavuika Fischl Nicole | - The last slot slot can be given to Pyro or Electro teammates that add additional utlity either through RES Shredding, Pyro application if the On-Field DPS is Electro, or other meaningful buffs. - Since Klee is a Hexerei character, she'll want to be paired with another Hex unit to be able to access her character buffs and Hexerei status that will enable her to use specific equipment that want the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect active, such as the Rising Winds set. |
Chevreuse Limits Teambuilding
Chevreuse's RES shred is tied to her passive that explicitly calls for a team made up of only Electro and Pyro characters; therefore, it's important to build the team with this restriction always in mind.

Ineffa's Damage Is Good Even in F2P Setups
You can make a convincing and notably decent Lunar-Charged team with accessible 4-star characters thanks to Ineffa's overall teambuilding flexibility, where she only really wants to have a Hydro teammate that'll allow her to trigger Lunar-Charged consistently.
Ifa and Ororon are originally a synergistic Electro-Charged focus duo who got updated to work with Lunar-Charged. The damage they deal together isn't extremely impressive in comparison to Ineffa's personal damage potential, so you can opt into equipping them as buffers for Ineffa rather than trying to increase their DPS.
F2P Lunar-Charged Team Rotation

|---|---|---|
Ifa | Sucrose Jahoda Heizou | - Anemo On-Fielders are a little more favored since they make it easier to trigger Lunar-Charged via Swirl. |
Ororon | Sethos Fischl | - Sethos can be deployed as the On-Field DPS instead, where you'll pair him with an Off-Field Anemo support like Sucrose. - Fischl also fulfills the same "Sub-DPS" function as Ororon, but her contribution will be lower than what Ineffa can provide. |
Aino | Xingqiu | - Xingqiu is the next best Aino alternative despite losing the Ascendant Gleam Moonsign level, since Ifa's Normal Attack-focused playstyle does enable Xingqiu's Burst to apply Hydro consistently. |
Note! When replacing characters, you can choose to use a 5-star character if you have them. The DPS character can be Hydro or Electro, though Electro is preferred. |
