Best Teams For Flins
Popular Teams For Flins
| Team | Rating Description |
|---|---|
| ▼Premium Lunar-Charged Team | ★★★★★ - Uses 2 Nod-Krai 5-stars whose niche is Lunar-Charged (Flins and Ineffa). - Due to the unique damage calculation of Lunar-Charged, EM Buffs and Elemental Shred work better than Elemental Damage Bonus buffs. This is why Sucrose is a very good Support for Lunar-Charged. - Aino and Columbina are the preferred Hydro applicator options. |
| ▼F2P Lunar-Charged Team | ★★★・・ - Lunar-Charged team options for Flins when you don't have Ineffa. - Even when F2P, Lunar-Charged is still a good team for Flins since Aino is given out for free and can enable Level 2 Moonsign effects. - Any Anemo character can be used as VV holder while the Sub-DPS can be another Hydro or Electro. |
| ▼Hyperbloom Team | ★★・・・ - A Dendro Sub-DPS can be added in Flins' teams to have Hyperbloom happening alongside Lunar-Charged. - But since it won't be focusing much on building around Lunar-Charged, this team's damage is lower than dedicated Lunar-Charged teams. - A possible team option if you don't have Ineffa and Columbina, but have Lauma instead. |
Flins is designed to be an On-Field Electro DPS that focuses around the Lunar-Charged reaction. While Lunar-Charged deals Electro damage, it is not affected by Electro Damage Bonuses and only uses ATK and CRIT Stats. This makes teams with Flins better overall when an Elemental RES shredder, like an Anemo character equipped with the Viridescent Venerer set, is included in the lineup since Enemy Resistances can affect the damage taken from Lunar-Charged.
Moonsign Ascendant is Important for Flins' Teams

Moonsign is a new mechanic introduced in Nod-Krai. Each Nod-Krai character increases it by 1 level and at the 2nd level, various buffs for Lunar Reactions will be activated. Aside from the buffs given, Flins' Active Skills are able to deal more Lunar-Charged Damage and his Burst gains more attacks dealt.

With Ineffa's shield and Lunar-Charged damage buffs, Flins will be able to deal damage comfortably. Sucrose and Ineffa both buff Elemental Mastery. Wandering Evenstar allows Sucrose to also buff ATK and boost her EM. Columbina is the premium Off-Field Hydro Applicator for Lunar Reaction teams due to her dedicated buffs and relevant personal DMG.
Rotation Of Premium Lunar-Charged Team
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Ineffa and use her Skill. Burst is optional. |
| 2 | Switch to Columbina. Skill into Burst. |
| 3 | Switch to Sucrose and use her Skill or Normal Attack (x1) into Burst. └ If you're using Wandering Evenstar, do Normal Attack into Burst instead so you can use her Skill at the end of the rotation. |
| 4 | Switch to Flins. Use his Skill twice and then his Special Burst whenever it's up. └ His ideal combo will be: Skill (x2) -> Normal Attack (x3), dash -> Normal Attack (x4) -> Special Burst -> Normal Attack (x4) -> Skill -> Special Burst -> Normal Attack (x3) |
| 5 | Swap back into Sucrose to re-use her Skill. |
Flins wants to use his Normal Attacks in between his Special Burst usages in order to gain Energy to use at least 2 Special Bursts each rotation (at C0), but his combo has some room for you to dodge in between Special Bursts (instead of using Normal Attacks) if you need to, making his combo pretty flexible overall.
Substitute Characters
| Character | Sub | Details |
|---|---|---|
Ineffa | Ororon Fischl Shinobu | - Reserve this spot for an Electro Sub-DPS. - Any of the existing Electro Sub-DPS characters can be used but Ororon and Fischl are preferred. - Kuki is better (for sustain) if you want to use Sucrose. |
Sucrose | Lan Yan Xilonen Kazuha Bennett | - Reserve this spot for a Viridescent Venerer holder or ATK buffer. - Lan Yan can provide shields and should be used if Ineffa is not used. She can buff ATK for Flins with Thrilling Tales or Wandering Evenstar. With C4, she can also buff EM. - Xilonen can provide Elemental RES shred and healing, but has no way of buffing EM. - Kazuha can be used but his Elemental Damage Buff will only affect non-Lunar-Charged Damage dealt by Flins. - Bennett can be used as ATK buffer and Noblesse set holder if you are not using Ineffa and is using Aino as 2nd Nod-Krai. |
Columbina | Aino Yelan Candace (C6) | - Columbina is the best Hydro Lunar-Reaction support, but if you have Ineffa, her place on the team can be substituted with Aino. - Other Hydro Support options that aren't from Nod-Krai will require you to have Ineffa on the team since Flins really wants to have Ascendant Gleam active. - Aino becomes the only Hydro option for Flins for those without Ineffa and Columbina. |
Does Flins Need Ineffa?
Flins needs Ineffa for his team to be competitive with some of the top meta teams. But while Flins' total team DPS is greatly improved with Ineffa due to her EM Buffs and personal damage, he can still produce decent results without her provided you include Aino on his team, at the cost of significantly less damage potential overall. Though it's still recommended to pull for Ineffa for a Flins team whenever possible.
You still need another Nod-Krai character to activate the Ascendant Gleam Moonsign Level in order for his damage to be viable into endgame content, so Aino (ideally C6) or Columbina become mandatory without Ineffa.
Note! | No Ineffa? Options to Consider: - Pull for Ineffa on her rerun since she's still his best teammate overall. If you aren't in a rush to get Flins, it may be better to prioritize securing Ineffa for him first. - Obtain Flins' C1, since it provides about the same damage increase as Ineffa contributing her own DPS, but doesn't compensate for her buffs and shield. Aino is still required even with his C1. - Inlude Columbina on his team, even if you don't have Ineffa. It'll still result in decent DPS that should be enough to at least clear Stygian Onslaught at Fearless difficulty max. |
|---|
Does Flins Need Columbina?
Columbina significantly increases the total team DPS of Flins' premium Lunar-Charged team because not only does she buff the Lunar Reaction DMG, but she also contributes her own personal DPS. However, her pull priority for a Flins team is lower than Ineffa, since Ineffa was likely designed to be Flins' best teammate overall.
While Columbina greatly raises Flins' DPS potential, he can still clear specific endgame content with Aino, especially if you already secured Ineffa beforehand.
Note! | Version 6.3 (Luna 4): Ineffa or Columbina Who should I pull first for Flins? The answer will come down to your available primogem count and future pulling plans: - It's best to pull for Ineffa first if you can't get both Ineffa and Columbina. This is Ineffa's 1st rerun banner, and she might take longer to rerun again versus Columbina who may return within a few patches or months. - If you don't have Ineffa, Columbina OR Flins, then it's also recommended to prioritize Ineffa if you plan to get Flins in the future, for the same reason as stated above. |
|---|
Point! | If you have personal reasons for not wanting to pull for Ineffa now, then it's fine to get Columbina only and replace Ineffa with Fischl or Kuki Shinobu instead. You can also further invest into Flins' or Columbina's Constellations or Signature Weapons to slightly compensate for the loss of Ineffa's personal damage. |

For F2P, Aino is a newly released free character that could be obtained by progressing in the Nod-Krai Archon Quest while Lan Yan and Fischl were both free in previous events. Lan Yan mainly functions as the shielder and shredder while Fischl helps deal damage and generate Particles for Flins. Aino is the 2nd Nod-Krai character for activating Ascendant Moonsign and applies Hydro for Lunar-Charged proc.

| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Fischl and use her Burst or Skill to start applying Electro. |
| 2 | Switch to Aino and use her Burst then Skill. |
| 3 | Switch to Lan Yan and tap her Skill twice to create a shield and swirl Electro. |
| 4 | Switch to Flins. Use his Skill first, followed by a Normal Attack (x1), followed by another Skill then trigger his mini-Burst. Once his Skill is back up, use it again, followed by another proc of his mini-Burst. You can fill the downtime between Cooldowns and actions with a Normal Attack (x1). |
| 5 | Repeat from Step 1 once buffs expire. |

Lan Yan | Sucrose Lynette Bennett | - Sucrose is still Flins' best buffer due to her EM buff and ability to hold Viridescent Venerer. Because she doesn't have any sustain, her best pairing is Shinobu in the Electro slot. - Since Lynette is permanently free, her ATK buff and shred from VV can be used as an alternative to Lan Yan - Bennett was also free from a previous event and can greatly buff Flins' ATK and provide healing as well. |
Fischl | Ororon Shinobu | - Ororon is the next best Electro Sub-DPS alternative and can be used in place of Fischl. - If you plan to use Sucrose as a Lan Yan alternative in Flins' F2P team, Shinobu becomes the only other option for reliable healer unless you're willing to play without sustain options. |
Aino | Xingqiu | - Without Aino, Flins' performance will drop since the Moonsign Level is only 1. Another character can hold Silken Moon set but without Ascendant activated, Flins' damage will be lower. - Xingqiu can be used as an alternative to Aino for Hydro Sub-DPS, but because Aino is given for free as you progress through the Nod-Krai Archon Quest, it's better to just use resources to build Aino. |
If you are replacing characters with 5-star alternatives, make sure to use the Premium team as a reference on which characters are the best in slot teammates for Flins.

If you have Lauma but no Ineffa, you can opt into a Hyperbloom team as an alternative. The damage output should be fairly decent, but the team variations without Lauma are likely to lag behind. Furthermore, Lauma sees more value in a dedicated Lunar-Bloom team, with Flins also being better in a team centered around Lunar-Charged. This team is sub-optimal for either, but can be worth the consideration if you happen to have both Lauma and Flins.
Note that because Lauma with Flins activates Ascendant Gleam, Lauma will want to build for personal damage instead since her passive, Light for the Frosty Night, no longer allows Hyperblooms to CRIT at this Moonsign level and buffs Lunar-Bloom damage instead, which she provides through her Hold Skill.
Rotation Of Hyperbloom Team
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Lauma's Burst into Skill (Hold). For the very first rotation, use her Skill (Tap) version instead. |
| 2 | Switch to Aino and use her Skill then Burst. |
| 3 | Swap to Yelan then use her Skill into Burst. |
| 5 | Swap back to Lauma to use her Skill (Hold) when you have 3 Verdant Dew stacks. |
| 6 | Repeat from Step 1 once buffs expire. |
Substitute Characters
| Character | Sub | Details |
|---|---|---|
Lauma | Nahida Baizhu Collei | - Lauma contributes her own personal damage through her Hold Skill. Replacing her would mean a significant decrease in potential team DPS. - Nahida has decent AoE Dendro application and provides an EM buff from her Burst. - Baizhu can make for a decent sustain and Dendro source, but limits the team's capability to single-target content only. Use a different Hydro character other than Kokomi when fielding Baizhu. - Collei is a F2P option that can provide a lot of Dendro application, but has no other real value apart from being able to use the Deepwood Memories set. |
![]() Kokomi | Yelan Xingqiu Aino Columbina | - Yelan and Xingqiu both provide reliable Hydro application for Hyperbloom and Lunar-Charged. - Aino, and especially Columbina, are especially good if you don't have Lauma to use alongside Flins, since either enables the Ascendant Gleam Moonsign Level. Columbina can be flexed into the team as the Hydro applicator even with Lauma for more team DPS and Lunar-Reaction buffs. |
Fischl | Shinobu Raiden Shogun | - Flins always wants to be paired alongside an Electro teammate to help him charge his Elemental Burst. - Since Shinobu already heals, you're better off swapping Kokomi in the Hydro slot to someone else. - Raiden Shogun and Shinobu will trigger a large majority of the Hyperblooms, so its better to equip them with a lot of Elemental Mastery. |
Without Lauma, a Flins Hyperbloom team is required to slot in Aino or Columbina as the Hydro character in order to activate the Ascendant Gleam Moonsign Level. This limits the sustain options to either the Electro or Dendro character.
If you do have Ineffa or Columbina, you can either push through with Flins' premium Lunar-Charged team where he contributes the majority of the team damage, or swap-out Lauma (and deploy her in her own Lunar-Bloom team) for a different Dendro applicator.
