Durin Has Flexible Team Options

Durin's ability to be placed into multiple teams that appreciate Off-Field Pyro application allows him plenty of flexibility when it comes to team choices. He also contributes a non-negligible amount of damage, which further increases the value he brings to a team.

Overload Teams are best played with Chevreuse, since she provides Electro and Pyro RES Shred alongside a teamwide ATK% buff that both Durin and Varesa can make use of.

Iansan	Bennett Fischl Ororon	- Iansan is Varesa's best teammate due to her Nightsoul mechanic that helps her charge her special Bursts a little easier. - Iansan brings a sizeable ATK% buff to the team, alongside some healing. Bennett has the same functions, but is limited by his Burst area, making him a less optimal choice for the very mobile Varesa. - Apart from the two ATK buffers, you can also slot in an Electro sub-DPS in a pinch if you have neither, but expect the DPS potential to be lower.
Chevreuse	-	- There is no viable replacement for Chevreuse in a pure Overload team. She's the most important piece of this puzzle, due to her Pyro and Electro RES shred, healing, ATK% buff and CRIT DMG boost at C6. - It's best to consider the team only when she's available for you to use, even at C0.

Overload is a strong reaction for Electro or Pyro DPSes when paired with the buffing power of Chevreuse, and there's a possibility it's going to be the same case for Durin, since he's designed to contribute a non-negligible amount of damage to the total team DPS, so having even just 1 copy of Chevreuse makes this team a viable option to consider.

This team lineup for Kinich will probably result in the most DPS in theory, but it's biggest weakness is the lack of proper sustain, since Iansan's healing isn't enough to act as the sole sustain. If you find yourself dying a lot with this team, it's best to swap out Iansan for someone else, such as Bennett.

Emilie	Nahida Yaoyao Baizhu	- Emilie is the most synergistic choice since she makes use of the Burning reaction to deal damage. She also enables Iansan to effectively trigger the full effect of the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City set. - Her best alternatives are Dendro units that can consistently apply Off-Field Dendro, with the ability to use the Deepwood Memories set being an appreciated bonus.
Iansan	Bennett Dehya	- Kinich appreciates Iansan's ATK buff, but her healing can be lacking, especially into harder content. - You can opt into using comfier sustain options like Bennett or Dehya (with Deepwood Memories) for sustain purposes, but the DPS potential will obviously decrease as a result of losing her buff and the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City set effect.

Durin in this team performs a smiliar function to Mavuika, with the upside of having a far easier way of contributing to the team DPS without the need for specific combos. His Off-Field element application makes him an appealing option for Kinich or Burning teams, but the lack of a good sustain can limit the team's ability to deal with harder content, such as in Stygian Onslaught.

Vaporize Team

While Durin can't shred Hydro, he's still a good option for Off-Field Pyro application in a Mualani team since he can sustain the application pretty easily, while also contributing a decent amount of personal damage. He fills the same niche as Mavuika on the team, albeit you lose out on Mavuika's DMG% buff and her own DPS.

With the buffs he received alongside the Hexenzirkel Resonance, Albedo becomes a convincing partner alongside Durin in a Mualani Vaporize team since he'll now provide a decent amount of personal DPS, Elemental Mastery on Burst, and Geo Resonance with Xilonen.

Mualani	Childe Neuvillette Ayato	- Mualani is the best dedicated Vaporize On-Field DPS, and there isn't any other character that can fill her role on the team just as well. - Other Hydro options shift the team functionality completely since they apply a lot of Hydro and can't reliably trigger Vaporize on their abilities. - On-Field Hydro DPSes like Neuvillette will instead act as drivers for Durin, who will be in Denial Darkness state to increase his personal Vaporize DPS. They will apply Hydro On-Field while Durin triggers Vapes Off-Field.
Xilonen	Zhongli EmilieMona	- Xilonen is arguably Mualani's best teammate, since she provides Hydro RES Shred, the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City buff, healing, and contributes to Mualani's Nightsoul passive that increases her damage. - Alternatives are going to range from generic shredders like Zhongli or Sucrose, Dendro units to enable Burning for additional DPS such as Emilie, or a Hydro buffing unit like Mona to enable Hydro Resonance, for the HP% increase.
Albedo	Chiori Sucrose Mona	- The last slot in a Mualani team is often considered a flex slot, which implies the slot isn't strictly designated for a specific character or type. - Albedo with his new buffs are one of the more ideal options, but you can also slot in an additional RES shredder and Elemental Mastery buffer like Sucrose, a Sub-DPS like Chiori, or a Hydro buffer like Mona.

When included in a Mualani Vaporize team, Durin will want to be deployed in his Confirmation of Purity mode, so he can apply Pyro in an AoE. Without Mualani, Durin is best played as the main DPS source with an On-Field Driver, which is similar to how Xiangling is usually played in a Vaporize team.

Overload with Vaporize (Overvape) Team

Combining the Overload reaction with the Vaporize reaction can result in decent performance since these reactions can coexist. But since the Overload has no Chevreuse for RES Shred, and the Vaporize has no true Elemental Mastery buffer, it is obviously weaker than their dedicated teams. It's still a viable team option however, and is likely able to clear most endgame content apart from Stygian Onslaught Difficulty 6 (Dire).

Fischl	Ororon Beidou Ineffa	- Fischl's personal damage and her buffs from the Hexenzirkel resonance system enables her to offer more than her counterparts in this team, but she can still be opted out for other Off-Field Electro supports like Ineffa, who can also enable a bit of Lunar-Charged while providing a shield.

An Overvape team will typically be very flexible when it comes to teammate composition, but it's still recommended to have a balance of elemental application, buffing capability and sustain to see decent overall results.

Anemo Team

The buffs given to Venti following the Hexenzirkel resonance system turn him into a viable On-Field Anemo DPS who uses his Anemo-infused Normal Attacks. His damage should be a lot more viable when paired with another Hexenzirkel member to activate the resonance effect and passive, which in this is Durin due to his Anemo RES shred.

Faruzan	Yelan Furina	- Faruzan is a key support for any Anemo DPS due to her Anemo RES shred and Anemo Crit DMG at C6. You can theoretically swap her out for DMG% supports like Yelan and Furina to bridge the gap, since Durin will also shred Anemo RES (and even more if you use Venti due to his Hexenzirkel passive.
Bennett	Zhongli Thoma	- The last slot should be dedicated to another buffer or a sustain. There isn't a recommended element for the character for this slot, so you can deploy whichever support-sustain character you have available.

Venti enables Durin's Hexenzirkel passive and vice versa, making this combo very synergistic. But he should still work with the other Anemo DPSes like Wanderer or Xiao.

Geo Team

A Geo team can slot in Durin, for his Geo RES shred, and Albedo for his personal DPS that'd been buffed thanks to the new Hexenzirkel affiliation or resonance system. Having both on the team is a strong Geo Core since they enable each other's Hexenzirkel passives. Navia gets the most benefit out of it since Durin helps to trigger Crystallize, which she uses to fire her enhanced Skill shots.

Bennett	Fischl Mavuika Furina Gorou	- Bennett is the primary sustain and buffer for Navia, but he can be replaced by DMG% buffers, Sub-DPSes or other sustain units. - When you're not using Navia, Bennett should ideally be replaced by Gorou, who is a DEF% buffer, for the DEF scaling Geo DPSes.

Geo teams have similar team building trends to Anemo teams, wherein the last slot is usually filled by a dedicated buffer or Sub-DPS that works with your chosen On-Field Geo DPS.
