Base Stats

Lohen is a 5-star, on-field Cryo DPS who enters a "Masterstroke" state after using his Elemental Skill. In this state, his Normal and Charged Attacks are infused with Cryo, allowing him to apply the element rapidly. He gains "Joy" stacks by hitting enemies, while his teammates generate "Will to Win" stacks when they deal damage. These stacks are consumed by his Special Skill and Elemental Burst, respectively.

Due to his "Hexerei: Secret Rite" passive, it's recommended to include another Hexerei member in his team for optimal performance.

- Lohen's rapid Cryo application enables Durin's Dragon of Dark Decay mode to trigger Melt. - Durin is a decently strong Sub-DPS in his Melt mode due to all his self-buffs. - Citlali provides Pyro RES shred. - Nicole's teamwide ATK buff benefits both Durin and Lohen, who are the primary damage dealers on the team.

Being a Hexerei character, Lohen is intended to be played alongside other Hexerei teammates in order to activate his Hexerei: Secret Rite passive. Since he applies a lot of element quickly, he's able to pair well with Durin in his Dragon of Dark Decay state.

At the same time, Citlali shreds Pyro for Durin, and Nicole rounds out the team with her shield and ATK% increases, which also benefits Lohen.

This is Lohen's basic, non-optimized combo that makes full use of his kit mechanics. Since Lohen is an On-Field DPS, he's usually deployed at the end of the rotation after all support abilities have been activated.

Melt Lohen Combo

Use this combo if your Lohen is at base investment without Constellations or Signature Weapon. It's a combo that aims to maximize the team's DPS window by leveraging Lohen's ability to serve as a Driver for his Off-Field Sub-DPSes.

His Burst does not contribute a lot towards his personal DPS so you can opt to use it every other rotation.

Freeze Lohen Combo

This combo does not make use of his Special Skill or Burst, instead focusing on squeezing out as much damage as possible through his Normal and Charged Attacks, since both the Special Skill and Burst consume time to execute and it can cut into the time you could spend dealing damage instead.

Basics of Using Lohen

Cryo On-Field DPS That Wants Sub-DPSes

Lohen is a unique On-Field DPS whose abilities rely on resources called Joy and Will to Win. He gains Joy stacks by attacking enemies after using his Skill, but gains Will to Win stacks whenever his Off-Field teammates deal damage.

Has a Hexerei Passive

Lohen is a Hexerei character, meaning he has a special Secret Rite or Witch's Eve Rite passive that is only activated after you finish his Witch's Homework quest.

Gain a DMG Buff With Hexerei Teammates

Lohen's Hexerei: Secret Rite effect grants him a substantial Normal and Charged DMG% boost when using his special Skill or Burst after reaching a certain amount of Will to Win stacks.

Since this passive is only enabled when the party has at least two (2) characters who have completed their Witch's Homework quest, it further encourages you to include at least one other Hexerei unit on Lohen's team to increase his damage output.

Skill Activates Masterstroke Mode

Lohen's Skill, upon activation, enables the Masterstroke state. While in this state, Lohen's Normal and Charged Attacks are infused with Cryo and will generate Joy stacks and Will to Win stacks. These stacks are used by his other abilities in different ways.

His Skill also has a special version that is enabled after reaching a certain amount of Joy.

Joy and Will to Win Stacks

Lohen has two stacking kit resources: Joy and Will to Win. Since Will to Win is generated by his teammates' Off-Field damage, most of Lohen's best teams will include Sub-DPSes with decent to high personal damage.

Note!	Lohen's first Ascension Passive increases the amount of Will to Win stacks gained from a party member if the DMG they deal is above a certain % of Lohen's ATK. This further encourages using Sub-DPSes with high damage output in his teams.

Burst Consumes Will to Win Stacks

Lohen's Elemental Burst uses up his Will to Win stacks upon activation. While it does extend the duration of his Masterstroke state, it can be better to skip using it to maintain the stacks for higher DPS potential with optimal Normal and Charged Attack combos.

You can still use his Burst at the very end of his combo; however, it is not a significant DPS loss if you are unable to do this every rotation.

Lohen's Skill activates Masterstroke mode. In this state, his Cryo-Infused Normal and Charged Attacks will generate Joy whenever they hit enemies. Most of Lohen's personal DPS comes from his Normal and Charged Attacks while in his Masterstroke mode, but his Burst isn't an important part of his best combos, so it can used every other rotation unless you have his Signature Weapon.

Since Lohen's Elemental Burst consumes an important damage resource used by these attacks, it's better to use it as a combo finisher and/or disregard building Energy Recharge (ER) on his Artifacts entirely.

Note!	Not having to worry about ER gives you more room for other important stats, such as CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and ATK%.

Witch's Eve Rite: Unhealing Thorn

After completing Witch's Homework: Of Various Foes, Lohen becomes a Hexerei character. When the party includes at least 2 Hexerei characters, you gain the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect, which enhances Hexerei characters. Hexerei: Secret Rite When the special Elemental Skill Etched Into Bone and Soul hits an opponent or the Elemental Burst Manifest Judgment is unleashed, if Lohen's Will to Win is at 50% or more of its max limit, his Normal Attack and Charged Attack DMG will be increased by 40% for 6s.

After completing his Witch's Homework quest, Lohen gains a Hexerei: Secret Rite passive, which increases his Normal and Charged Attack DMG after gaining a certain amount of Will to Win stacks. To enable this passive, there must be at least one other Hexerei character on the team.

Lohen's first Ascension Passive incentivizes having a Sub-DPS with non-negligible Off-Field DPS to supercharge his Will to Win generation. This lets you reach a higher Will to Win amount faster, which provides a decent boost to his overall damage output.

If you have his Signature Weapon, it becomes even more important to have a lot of Will to Win stacks, since his Signature Weapon, Disaster and Remorse has a Burst DMG% buff, among other buffs.

Passive Increases His and Teammate's ATK

This Ascension Passive buffs the ATK of the teammate who enables a Cryo reaction. For example, if a teammate applies Pyro to an enemy and Lohen subsequently triggers Melt, that teammate will receive the ATK buff.

After using Elemental Skill — Unforeseen Strike: - Gains High Spirits for 9s. - Increases the Skill Level of Unforeseen Strike by 1. Duration Extension - When the Skill is used, if any other party member has a: • Normal Attack Level, • Elemental Skill Level, or • Elemental Burst Level that is equal to or higher than Lohen's Elemental Skill Level: - High Spirits duration is extended by 6s. Additional Rules - High Spirits can be triggered once every 18s.- Maximum duration per trigger: 15s.

Instead of a normal utility passive that is used for exploration, Lohen's third passive lets him gain one free level to his Elemental Skill (for a set duration) if a teammate has a Skill, Burst, or Normal Attack talent level that is equal to or higher than his own Skill level.

In practice, this is a nice short Skill level increase for Lohen that can affect the first few seconds of Lohen's combo. If you crown Lohen's Skill, it can even briefly reach Level 11 through this passive if anyone else on the team has a Level 10 or higher talent.

Should You Pull for Lohen's Constellation Or Best Weapon?

In terms of personal damage, Lohen's Signature Weapon is a more valuable and accessible option. His Constellations have low overall value unless you go all the way to C6, and at that point it's better to opt into pulling for his weapon more, especially if you don't have a CRIT polearm for him.

Consider Investing Into His Supports

It's recommended to secure Lohen's premiere supports first, such as Durin and/or Nicole, before thinking of spending resources for his Constellations or Signature Weapon.

Additionally, investing in his supports' Constellations, such as C2 for Durin and Nicole, is a vastly more powerful upgrade for Lohen's teams. If you want to go a little further than the baseline, getting these key Constellations would be the ideal starting and stopping points.
