It's unclear if Lohen's Elemental Burst is a vital part of his best DPS combo as of the moment. But as a rule of thumb, it should be fine to prioritize looking for offensive stats like CRIT on his Artifacts. If Lohen is a full ATK% scaler, then ATK% will also be among the best substats to lean towards.

- Lohen's rapid Cryo application enables Durin's Denial of Darkness mode to trigger Melt. - Durin is a decently strong Sub-DPS in his Melt mode due to all his self-buffs. - Citlali provides Pyro RES shred. - Nicole's teamwide ATK buff benefits both Durin and Lohen, who are the primary damage contributors on the team.

Being a Hexerei character, Lohen is likely intended to be played alongside other Hexerei teammates in order to activate his Hexerei: Secret Rite passive. Since he applies a lot of element quickly, he's able to pair well with Durin in his Denial of Darkness state.

At the same time, Citlali shreds Pyro for Durin, and Nicole rounds it out with her shield and ATK% increases, which Lohen will surely appreciate.

Basics of Using Lohen

Cryo On-Field DPS That Wants Sub-DPSes

Lohen is a unique On-Field DPS whose abilities rely on resources called Joy and Will to Win. Lohen gains Joy stacks by attacking enemies after he uses his Skill, but he gains Will to Win stacks whenever his Off-Field teammates deal damage to enemies.

Has a Hexerei Passive

Lohen is a Hexerei character, meaning he has a special Secret Rite or Witch's Eve Rite passive that is only activated after you finish his Witch's Homework quest. This passive is only active when the party has at least two (2) characters who have completed their Witch's Homework.

Skill Activates Masterstroke Mode

Lohen's Skill, upon activation, enables the Masterstroke state. While in this state, Lohen Normal and Charged Attacks are infused with Cryo and will generate Joy stacks and Will to Win stacks. These stacks are used by his other abilities in different ways.

His Skill also has a special version that is enabled after reaching a certain amount of Joy.

Lohen has two stacking kit resources: Joy and Will to Win. Since Will to Win is generated by his teammates' Off-Field damage, most of Lohen's best teams will include Sub-DPSes with decent to strong personal damage.

How To Use Lohen's Skills & Passives

Lohen is designed to be a Cryo On-Field DPS that applies his element quickly through his Normal and Charged Attacks after entering his special State once you activate his Skill. He has two important gameplay resources: Joy and Will to Win.

Generate Stacks in Masterstroke Mode

Lohen's Skill activates Masterstroke mode. In this state, his Cryo-Infused Normal and Charged Attacks will generate Joy whenever they hit enemies. Meanwhile, his party members will stack Will to Win whenever their Off-Field attacks deal damage within a minimum threshold. Lohen's other abilities make use of these resources respectively.

Burst Uses up Will to Win Stacks

According to recent character trends, since Lohen uses all the Win to Win stacks, it may or may not be a damage loss to include it in the combo. Another DPS with a Burst that consumes important stacks used by their Skill is Nefer, who only uses her Elemental Burst as a combo finisher after she used all her Veil of Falsehood stacks for her special Charged Attacks.
