Being a Hexerei character, Lohen is likely intended to be played alongside other Hexerei teammates in order to activate his Hexerei: Secret Rite passive. Since he applies a lot of element quickly, he's able to pair well with Durin in his Denial of Darkness state.

Cryo On-Field DPS That Wants Sub-DPSes

Lohen is a unique On-Field DPS whose abilities rely on resources. One is called Will to Win, while the other is unnamed. Lohen gains one of his stack resources by attacking enemies after he uses his Skill, but he gains Will to Win stacks whenever his Off-Field teammates deal damage to enemies.

Has a Hexerei Passive

Lohen is a Hexerei character, meaning he has a special Secret Rite or Witch's Eve Rite passive that is only activated after you finish his Witch's Homework quest. This passive is only active when the party has at least two (2) characters who have completed their Witch's Homework.

Skill Activates Special State

Lohen's Skill, upon activation, enables a special Skill state. While in this state, Lohen's Normal and Charged Attacks are infused with Cryo and will generate stacks for both the Will to Win and the unnamed resource. These stacks are used by his other abilities in different ways.

His Skill also has a special version that is enabled after hitting a certain amount of attacks.

Stacking Mechanic

Lohen has two stacking kit resources, one is called Will to Win but the other resource's name is yet to be confirmed. Since Will to Win is generated by his teammates' Off-Field damage, most of Lohen's best teams will include Sub-DPSes with decent to strong personal damage.

Lohen is designed to be a Cryo On-Field DPS that applies his element quickly through his Normal and Charged Attacks after entering his special state once you activate his Skill. He has two important gameplay resources: Will to Win and one other unnamed resource.

Generate Stacks in Skill State

Lohen's Skill activates his special Skill state. In this state, his Cryo-Infused Normal and Charged Attacks will generate a stack of the unnamed resource whenever they hit enemies. Meanwhile, his party members will stack Will to Win whenever their Off-Field attacks deal damage. Lohen's other abilities make use of these resources respectively.

Burst Uses Up Will to Win Stacks

According to recent character trends, since Lohen uses his Will to Win stacks, including his Burst in the combo might result in a damage loss.

Another DPS with a Burst that consumes important stacks used by their Skill is Nefer, who only uses her Elemental Burst as a combo finisher after she used all her Veil of Falsehood stacks for her special Charged Attacks.
