Etherwing Moths Are In Mondstadt
Etherwing Moths are considered Mondstadt Local Specialties, since you can find a few of them around Dornman Port, despite the majority of them being found in the Temple of Space. At Dornman Port, they will mostly be seen around the flowers in Milhaven or near Waypoints close to the Sanatorium. They are also scattered across various locations in the Temple of Space, floating near Waypoints, near ruins and towers, or on elevated or floating isles.

Utilize Farming Route for Etherwing Moth
Etherwing Moths are often found in small clusters of 2 to 3 around Milhaven and the Old Sanatorium Site at Dornman Port of Mondstadt. A good majority of them will be found around the western and southern islands of the Temple of Space. Since going to these individual locations is time-consuming, it's recommended to utilize a Farming Route for faster and more efficient material gathering.
Use Characters with Exploration Utility Passive
For easier farming, it is recommended to use characters that reveal the location of Specialties in Mondstadt. By just putting them in your team, the locations of Etherwing Moth will be shown in your mini-map, which makes farming for the specialty easier.
The character passive that shows specific specialty locations on the mini-map will locate all of the specialties found in the surrounding area. This is not limited to Etherwing Moths.
Etherwing Moth Respawns Every 48 Hours
After gathering all the available Etherwing Moths in your world, they will eventually respawn after 48 hours or an equivalent of two 2 Server Time resets.
Choose Etherwing Moth from the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass Rewards
Purchasing the Gnostic Hymn or premium Battle Pass rewards you with 'Traveling Bounties', which allows you to select Local Specialties from all regions. Traveling Bounties are given out after reaching levels 1 and 3 on the Gnostic Hymn.

You can get 9 pieces of Etherwing Moth from the Trail of Footstep Event. This is only available for a limited time and requires you to clear some quests.

30 Etherwing Moths will be given to you after completing Linnea's Story Quest within a limited time duration. This is only available during Version 6.5 (Luna 6).
Consider Visiting Other Players' World

Farming Route For Etherwing Moth
To get the 168 Etherwing Moths required to ascend a character to Lv. 90, you'll have to go through these routes around two to three times.

2 Moths behind the sign near the Waypoint, then head towards the flower field to the southeast.
4 more moths in the nearby area. Continue down into the flower field.
1 more Moth further ahead.
Head north towards the windmill from the waypoint.
There are 2 moths around the fields near the windmill. After collecting them, proceed west through the flowers.
You should find three more up ahead.
3 moths around the Statue of Seven.
Proceed towards the cottage, northwest.
2 moths in front of the cottage.
There are 3 around the Waypoint here.
Follow the road to the southeast of the Waypoint.
You'll eventually find 4 moths. Continue down the path.
Aim for the ruins with the blue structure in the distance.
2 moths around the ruins. Head down the cliff after.
2 more after your descent.
5 moths are gathered here around the Waypoint. Proceed along the path.
2 more moths are up ahead, keep going forward.
1 moth after ascending the stairs.
2 moths hovering near the blue ruin, head northeast.
The route ends with 3 moths around here.
Proceed along the way from the Waypoint while solving the puzzle in the area.
After climbing the stairs, keep moving towards the hill on the right, up the stairs.
After the stairs, you should be able to see 3 moths on the hill. Move to the left after.
3 more moths towards the back of the temple.
You'll find 4 moths in the same area further back.
Aim for the southern cliff from the Waypoint.
Fly down to the isle from the edge of the cliff.
After collecting the 3 moths on the isle, head back to the Waypoint.
You should see 3 moths towards the north from the Waypoint. Keep heading north after collecting them.
After moving forward, gather the 2 moths in the area, then head towards the back of the structure or temple in the middle.

After collecting them, head south from the waypoint towards the south side of the tower or building.
You'll eventually encounter 2 more moths.
4 moths can be found around the Waypoint. Proceed towards the northern island after collecting them.
2 more moths will be in the area. Return to the Waypoint.
Proceed south from the Waypoint.
There are 3 moths as you move further south.
You'll eventually see 2 moths after moving southward.
