Violetgrass Location
Violetgrass Is Found All Over Liyue
With the addition of Chenyu Vale, the number of collection areas for Violetgrass has significantly increased. They will typically be found on cliff faces.
In Bihua Plain, they are plentiful in Qingce Village, Wuwang Hill and Mingyun Village.
In Lisha, there will be a good amount around Dunyu Ruins, Lingju Pass and Mt. Tianheng.
In Minlin, some can be found on the cliffs and rock formations seated in the waters between Mt. Aocang, Huagang Stone Forest, Mt. Hulao and Qingyun Peak. There will also be some scattered towards the East of Jueyun Karst.
In Qiongji Estuary, a few handfuls can be picked towards the East of Cuijue Slope, to the South of Luhua Pool, to the West of Guili Plains and further South of it, in the direction of Liyue Harbor.
The Chasm also has several gathering spots around its outer edges.
And finally, in Chenyu Vale, there will be a large concentration of them in Yoadie Valley, a few towards the North of Chizang Wall and Chiwang Terrace, around Mt. Lingmeng and a small amount near the gates of Yilong Wharf.
You can only harvest 1 Violetgrass per plant.
To maximize your Violetgrass gathering, consider these strategies:
- Utilize Farming Route for Violetgrass
- Use Characters with Exploration Utility Passive
- Purchase from NPCs that sell Violetgrass
- Plant Violetgrass in your Teapot
- Violetgrass respawns every 48 hours
- Consider visiting other player's World
Utilize Farming Route for Violetgrass
Violetgrass plants can be found in all over Liyue, but they are not grouped into a single location. Going to each collection area one-by-one to take the plants may be inefficient. It is recommended to utilize the Farming Route for a faster and more efficient farming.
Use Characters with Exploration Utility Passive
For easier Farming, it is recommended to use characters that reveals the location of Specialties in Mondstadt. By just putting them in your team, the locations of Violetgrass will be shown in your mini-map which makes farming for the item easier.
Passive also Shows Location of Other Specialties
The character passive that shows specialties in the mini-map shows all of the specialties in the location. This is not limited to Violetgrass.

You can purchase 5 pieces of Violetgrass with 1000 Mora per piece from every NPC listed above. This refreshes every three days and is a decent way to get Violetgrass if you only need small amount.

You can also plant Violetgrass on your teapot for and they will grow after 70 hours. To do this, you need to equip Seed Dispensary when picking up Violetgrass in the wilds to get Violetgrass Seeds. Plant it in the "A Path of Value: Luxuriant Glebe" and it will automatically grow. This method is good when you want to farm passively.
Violetgrass Respawns every 48 Hours
After getting the Violetgrass in your world, they will only respawn after 48 hours or 2 Server Time after.
Consider Visiting other Player's World
You can also get Violetgrass by visiting other player's world. This is great for getting large amount of Violetgrass. Make sure to chat your intentions to the World owner first! You can also use the Item Exchange Thread below:
