Strengths
- Can be either main DPS or support - Low energy cost for Elemental Burst - Can increase Normal ATK SPD & imbue Cryo to all melee characters within his Elemental Skill range ↳ Can also decrease Elemental Skill & Burst cooldown simultaneously at constellation 2

Go For Damage Multipliers Aside From CRIT Stat

Wolf's Gravestone is a great claymore since it can boost Chongyun's ATK and can also give an ATK buff to the team. On the other hand, Serpent Spine is an excellent claymore due to its CRIT Rate stat & passive that can further increase Chongyun's damage output.

- In this team, Chongyun acts as a support. His Elemental Skill buff can be maximized by Ayaka. - Ayaka is a powerful main DPS who can consistently deal Cryo DMG. Chongyun's Skill is beneficial to Ayaka since it can help her to sustain the Cryo infusion which is helpful in conserving stamina as Ayaka does not need to sprint much to get Cryo infusion. - Kazuha can amplify the elemental DMG of Ayaka when Cryo gets absorbed in his Burst. In addition, he can gather lightweight enemies with his Skill and also spread Hydro to nearby enemies for Ayaka & Chongyun to freeze. - Kokomi is a great healer & Hydro applicator who can help the team to freeze the enemies.

- Chongyun acts as the main DPS of the team who can proc reverse melt with Xiangling's Skill & Burst and freeze with Barbara's Skill. - Xiangling is a great off-field Pyro DPS. She can proc melt with Chongyun & vaporize with Barbara which can deal powerful damage. When her Skill's duration is done, it leaves a chili which gives an ATK buff that can boost the damage output of the team. - Sucrose has crowd control that can gather lightweight enemies. She can also decrease the Elemental RES of enemies with 4-piece Viridescent Venerer set. - Barbara is a great healer & Hydro applicator who can synergize with Chongyun & Xiangling to proc powerful elemental reactions.

Can Buff Melee Characters With Infusion

Those wielding melee weapons such as Sword, Claymore, or Polearm get a Cryo infusion when staying inside Chongyun's Elemental Skill. In addition, one of his passive talents enables his Skill to increase the Normal ATK SPD of melee characters while inside the field.

Inflict Debuff To Enemies

One of Chongyun's passive talents enables his Skill to decrease Cryo RES of the enemy if it gets hit by the falling sword at the end of its duration.

Quick Burst Of Cryo Damage

Chonyun's Elemental Burst doesn't necessarily have other effects besides damaging enemies with Cryo from a distance. It is great to use whenever you need to set up Cryo-related reaction combos.

Chongyun is a great Cryo DPS & support. His elemental skill can imbue Cryo to any melee character that is inside its range. Although Chongyun's constellation improves his DPS & support capabilities, it is not recommended to aim for Chongyun when pulling unless Chongyun's rate is boosted.

Good At C2

Once you get Chongyun to C2, it's already ideal since it's there where he gets the strong buff he could get. The Cooldown buff is very strong, especially in team comps wherein strict rotations are required.
