Lauma is a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst user in Genshin Impact, primarily serving as an Off-Field Sub-DPS with supportive utility. She is the only character capable of enabling the Lunar-Bloom reaction, which replaces the standard Bloom reaction. Lunar-Bloom generates Verdant Dew, a resource Lauma consumes to activate the Hold version of her Elemental Skill. This version of her Skill deals powerful Lunar-Bloom damage and currently stands as the sole source of it in the game. Her Elemental Burst further boosts the damage of Hyperbloom, Bloom, Burgeon, and Lunar-Bloom.

Roles & Playstyle Of Lauma and Her Strengths and Weakness
Off-Field Dendro Support and Lunar-Bloom Enabler
Lauma converts the Bloom reactions triggered by the party into Lunar-Bloom, which creates Verdant Dew stacks for her to be able to use her Hold Skill. Lauma's Elemental Skill applies Dendro around the active character and its Hold version deals a burst of Lunar-Bloom damage to nearby enemies in an AoE. It is currently the only source of Lunar-Bloom damage since Blooms converted to Lunar-Bloom still do regular Bloom damage.
Pros and Cons of Support Lauma
Pros |
---|
- Easy to use. |
- Shreds Dendro and Hydro RES. |
- Contributes a good amount of her own personal DPS. |
- Allows Bloom, Hyperbloom and Burgeon DMG to CRIT when she's the only Nod-Krai character in the team. |
Cons |
- Semi-high Energy Burst cost requires her to build some Energy Recharge to Burst consistently. |
- Despite converting Blooms into Lunar-Bloom, these converted Blooms don't really do enhanced damage but are instead only a way to get Verdant Dew stacks for her Hold Skill to consume. |
- Elemental Burst buffs Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon and Lunar-Bloom damage but has limited instances, similar to Shenhe's Quills, making it easy for the buff to run out in AoE situations. |

Stat Goals For Off-Field Bloom Support Lauma
Elemental Mastery | Around 1,000~ |
---|
Lauma's Elemental Burst is still still an important part of her contribution to a team since it provides a decent buff to Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon or Lunar-Bloom damage. Getting her Energy Recharge to an amount that lets her use her Burst comfortably every rotation is likely going to be the priority. Because her Energy cost hasn't been formally revealed yet, the recommended stat goal for Lauma's Energy Recharge cannot be calculated yet.
Since she favors Elemental Mastery for her abilities, it's safe to assume that she wants a generous amount of it.

Stat Goals For Off-Field Hyperbloom Support Lauma
Elemental Mastery | Around 1,000~ |

Similar to the the Bloom Support, Lauma's Elemental Burst should also be an important part of her contribution to a Hyperbloom team since it provides a decent buff to Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon or Lunar-Bloom damage. Getting her Energy Recharge to an amount that lets her use her Burst comfortably every rotation is likely going to be the priority, but because her Energy cost hasn't been formally revealed yet, the recommended stat goal for Lauma's Energy Recharge cannot be fully calculated at the moment.
Since she favors Elemental Mastery for her abilities, it's safe to assume that she wants a generous amount of it.

2nd | ![]() | Get from Limited Banners - Elemental Mastery (EM) secondary stat lets Lauma reach an ideal EM stat easier. - Provides more EM buffs/ Elemental DMG% buffs to the equipping character depending on the party members' Elemental type. - Also provides teammates with a fixed amount of EM. |
3rd | ![]() | Get from Limited Banners - Elemental Mastery secondary stat can help Lauma reach her EM stat goal. - She can't trigger the first half of the passive, but can still benefit from the other buffs that give more EM. |
4th | ![]() | Get from Banners - Provides a decent amount of Elemental Mastery due to secondary stat. - Passive Skill reset may or may not work with Lauma's Skill, but whether or not it's beneficial needs to be tested. |
5th | ![]() | Get from Limited Banners - Also provides a decent amount of Elemental Mastery due to secondary stat. - Not a lot of her teams will have teammates who care about the ATK% buff from the passive, so at most this serves as a stat-stick. |
Lauma is more likely to hit the 1000 Elemental Mastery (EM) threshold with a weapon that can provide EM either through the secondary stat or its passive.
Free To Play Friendly (F2P Weapons) for Off-Field Dendro Support Lauma
Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
---|---|---|

2nd | ![]() | Nod-krai Forgeable (Craftable) Weapon - Provides a decent amount of Elemental Mastery due to secondary stat. - Greatly improves Lunar-Bloom damage, especially when there are more Nod-Krai characters in the party. |
3rd | ![]() | Get from Banners - Provides Elemental Mastery through the secondary stat, which is more than what the other Free-to-Play options can offer. - Passive doesn't provide much impact even at R5. |
4th | ![]() | Monstadt Forgeable (Craftable) Weapon - Also provides Elemental Mastery, but less than Magic Guide. - Passive also doesn't provide much impact even at R5. |
5th | ![]() | Sumeru Forgeable (Craftable) Weapon - Energy Recharge secondary stat can help Lauma get her Elemental Burst up consistently. - Passive effectively gives Lauma 120 Elemental Mastery, lower than the other 2 above, but usable if you have no other choice. |
For Free-to-Play options, the best choice should be the weapon that gives the most Elemental Mastery The Etherlight Spindlelute obtainable from the Clink Clank Clash event provides both Energy Recharge and Elementary Mastery and helps her to reach the ideal stat goals for both stats. Use whichever you option you already have.
All Weapon ListLauma Best Artifacts
Lauma's Artifact choices aim to increase the value she provides to a team, either by increasing her personal damage or by letting her activate a buff that her teammates can take advantage of. See the recommendations below:
Artifact | Recommendation Details |
---|---|
![]() | ★★★★★ - Has Energy Recharge% as the 2-piece effect, which helps lower Lauma's needs for high Energy Recharge rolls on her Artifacts. - Increases everyone's Elemental Mastery depending on the Moonsign level of the party. - Also buffs damage made by any Lunar reaction. - Artifact 4-piece cannot stack, so only one character on the team can equip this set. - Lunar Reaction DMG is also slightly buffed when another Nod-Krai character (On-Field DPS) in the party equips and activates the 4-piece effect of the Night of the Sky's Unveiling set. |
![]() | ★★★★・ - A good alternative to the new Artifact set, since it gives Lauma a lot of Elemental Mastery by default. - Can also be a choice for when Lauma is the On-Field Dendro character who uses their Normal Attacks to trigger reactions such as Hyperbloom or Burgeon. |
![]() ![]() | ★★★・・ - You can use a combination of 2 sets with Elemental Mastery. - This configuration is a good placeholder until you can get a decent full set. |
![]() | ★★★・・ - When paired with another Dendro DPS like Alhaitham, Lauma can equip this set instead to shred Dendro RES. - Good set for Hyperbloom teams where Lauma isn't the On-Field Dendro character. |
![]() | ★★・・・ - Usable option if Lauma is the On-Field Dendro driver for a team. - Provides Elemental Mastery, while also increasing Lunar Reaction damage. |

Silken Moon's Serenade is Her Best Set

Details | |||
- Lauma works well in Nilou's traditional Bloom team as the second Dendro support, allowing the trigger Lunar-Bloom which generates Verdant Dew for Lauma. - Nilou enhances regular Blooms into Bountiful Blooms, which improves their damage and AoE significantly. - Nahida provides an Elemental Mastery buff with her Burst and more Off-Field Dendro. - Kokomi is the designated healer of the team and further source of constant AoE Hydro application. |
In this team, Lauma's damage is condensed at set intervals whenever she uses her Hold Skill, which she's able to use after triggering Lunar-Bloom. Currently the only actual source of direct Lunar-Bloom damage is from Lauma's Skill when held, since the Lunar-Blooms themselves are still doing the same damage as regular Bountiful Blooms, and are simply a way of generating Verdant Dew for Lauma. Regardless, this team's damage potential should still be good since she contributes her own personal DPS from her Hold Skill.

Team Rotation of Lauma and Combos
Basic Team Rotation for Off-Field Support Lauma
Basic Rotation For Off-Field Support Lauma |
---|
1.Start with the supports with longer ability durations if there are any. If any Sub-DPS or DPS needs to deploy their abilities first as part of their mechanic, such as Nilou, then ensure they do so beforehand. 2. Swap to Lauma, use her Elemental Burst first, then use her Elemental Skill (Hold). 3. Swap to the main On-Field DPS if there is any. 4. Switch back to Lauma again when you see the Verdant Dew indicator next to her icon light up with three stacks. Use her Hold Skill to do Lunar-Bloom damage. 5. Repeat from Step 1. |
If Lauma is mainly going to be Off-Field on your team, you can start her combo with her Elemental Burst so her Hold Skill also benefits from the buff. You can end the whole rotation by using the Hold Skill again once you have three Verdant Dew stacks, since three stacks equates to significant damage potential thanks to the higher scaling.
Basic Team Rotation for On-Field Driver Lauma
Basic Rotation For On-Field Driver Lauma |
---|
1.Start with the supports and deploy their abilities. hr>2. Swap to Lauma, use her Elemental Burst first, then use her Elemental Skill (Hold). 3. Use Lauma's Normal Attacks to continuously apply Dendro as well as drive key abilities like Xingqiu's Rainswords. 4. Use Lauma's Hold Elemental Skill whenever you get three Verdant Dew stacks. 5. Repeat from Step 1. |
As the On-Field character, Lauma will be using her Normal Attacks to apply Dendro to an enemy and to activate her supports abilities, if any of them require Normal Attacks to trigger. This team rotation is usually best suited for Hyperbloom or Burgeon teams.
Basics Of Using Lauma
Lauma is designed to be an Off-Field Dendro Sub-DPS that also provides supportive buffs for specific Dendro reactions and teams. She is currently the only character that can trigger the special Nod-Krai reaction, Lunar-bloom, which is an upgraded version of the original Bloom reaction that requires Dendro and Hydro.
Lauma Has Moonsign Effects
Like all Nod-Krai characters, Lauma's kit interacts with a special region-limited mechanic called a Moonsign. When Lauma is in the party, a specific Moonsign effect is activated depending on the number of Nod-Krai characters present. If she is the sole Nod-Krai character, there is only one Moonsign present, therefor giving the party the Nascent Gleam Moonsign. If there are 2 Nod-Krai characters, the Moonsign phases into Ascendant Gleam. Lauma provides different buffs according to the Moonsign level of the party.
Lunar-Blooms Give a Stack of Verdant Dew
Bloom reactions triggered by a party with Lauma in it are automatically converted to Lunar-bloom, which is similar to how Ineffa enables Lunar-charged. When a Lunar-bloom reaction is triggered, Lauma gains a stack of Verdant Dew, which is an important resource that is used by the Hold version of her Elemental Skill.
As of current, Lunar-Blooms do not have enhanced damage in comparison to regular Bloom, and are simply a way of gaining Verdant Dew that only Lauma can make use of right now.
Holding Her Elemental Skill Is Recommended
Lauma's Skill summons a Frostgrave Sanctuary, and has a Tap and Hold version. The Tap version simply deals regular Dendro damage in an AoE, which makes it less than ideal to use compared to the Hold version. When held, her Elemental Skill consumes all of her Verdant Dew stacks to deal two waves of AoE Dendro damage, with the second wave considered to be Lunar-bloom damage. Furthermore, all attacks made by the Sanctuary reduces the an enemy's Dendro and Hydro RES for a short period of time, provided the attack hits.
To be able to use the Hold version, at least one Lunar-bloom reaction needs to be triggered beforehand. This version also converts a Verdant Dew stack (maximum of three) to a Moon Song stack, which is a different resource required by her Elemental Burst.
Elemental Burst Buffs Dendro-related Reactions
After using Elemental Burst, Lauma generates 18 stacks of Pale Hymn. Additionally, her Burst also consumes Moon Songs to create 6 stacks of Pale Hymn per stack. This amounts to a total of 36 Pale Hymns, and each Hymn increases the damage of any Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon or Lunar-Bloom reaction. When the aforementioned reactions are triggered, it consumes 1 Pale Hymn. If the damage damages multiple enemies, then the reactions consumes multiple Pale Hymn stacks.
While the damage buff isn't groundbreaking, it's still nice to have for the teams that would run Lauma. Her Elemental Burst is still an essential part of her rotations regardless.

Off-Field Dendro Support That Can Deal Lunar-Bloom Damage
Basic Rotation Of Lauma |
---|
1.Start with the supports with longer ability durations if there are any. |
Starting the rotation with other supports allows you to trigger Lunar-Bloom first to stack Verdant Dews early. You can thus start Lauma's first combo with her Burst and a Hold Skill to deal the Lunar-Bloom damage quickly.
Converts Triggered Bloom Reactions to Lunar-Bloom
Passive Description | |
---|---|
Moonsign Benediction: Nature's Chorus | When a Bloom reaction is triggered by a party member, it will be converted into the Lunar-Bloom reaction, with every point of Elemental Mastery that Lauma has increasing Lunar-Bloom's Base DMG by 0.0175%, up to a maximum of 14%. Additionally, when Lauma is in the party, the party's Moonsign will increase by 1 level. |
When Lauma is in the party, every Bloom triggered is converted to a Lunar-Bloom Lunar-Blooms made this way do not deal Lunar-Bloom damage but instead create Verdant Dew stacks while dealing regular Bloom (or Bountiful Bloom with Nilou) damage. Currently the only source of Lunar-Bloom damage is from Lauma's Hold skill that consumes up to three Verdant Dews.
Activates Moonsign Effects
Passive Description | |
---|---|
Light for the Frosty Night | - After using Runo: Dawnless Rest of Karsikko, Lauma grants buffs for 20s based on the party’s Moonsign. Buffs from different Moonsign levels cannot stack. Moonsign: Nascent Gleam: Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon DMG from all nearby party members can CRIT. - CRIT Rate fixed at 15%. - CRIT DMG fixed at 100%. - This CRIT Rate stacks with other effects that allow these reactions to CRIT. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: All nearby party members’ Lunar-Bloom DMG gains: - +10% CRIT Rate - +20% CRIT DMG. |
After using Runo: Dawnless Rest of Karsikko, Lauma grants buffs depending on the party’s Moonsign level. These buffs last for 20 seconds and cannot stack with other Moonsign levels. With Moonsign: Nascent Gleam, Bloom-related reactions from nearby party members are able to critically hit with a fixed 15% CRIT Rate and 100% CRIT DMG. This interacts with other crit-enabling effects for reaction damage. Meanwhile, Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam increases Lunar-Bloom DMG by an additional +10% CRIT Rate and +20% CRIT DMG.
Elemental Skill Is Her Most Important Ability
Elemental Skill Description | |
---|---|
Runo: Dawnless Rest of Karsikko | Silently incants an ancient hymn, summoning a Frostgrove Sanctuary with effects based on Tap or Hold. The Sanctuary periodically applies Dendro to nearby enemies. Tap: - Deals AoE Dendro DMG. Hold: - Requires 1 Verdant Dew. - Consumes all Verdant Dew. - Deals AoE Dendro DMG twice (one Lunar-Bloom DMG). - Each Verdant Dew gives 1 Moon Song stack. - Max 3 Verdant Dew consumed. - Hitting opponents with Elemental Skill or Frostgrove Sanctuary decreases their Dendro RES and Hydro RES for 10s. |
Lauma’s Elemental Skill is the most vital tool in her kit since its the majority of her personal DPS, as well as the only true source Lunar-Bloom damage as of the current version. When tapped, Lauma deals AoE Dendro damage. The Hold version of the skill however requires at least 1 Verdant Dew to be available for use. This version deals one instance of normal AoE Dendro DMG then an additional hit considered as Lunar-Bloom damage. Both the Tap and Hold Skill summons a Frostgrove Sanctuary in the form of a deer that attacks nearby enemies, applying Dendro to them at a set interval.
Each Verdant Dew consumed grants Lauma a stack of Moon Song, which further enhances the buff her Elemental Burst provides. Enemies struck by either the skill or the Frostgrove Sanctuary also suffer reduced Dendro and Hydro RES for 10s, further boosting team damage.
Elemental Burst Buffs Dendro-Related Reactions
Elemental Burst Description | |
---|---|
Runo: All Hearts Become the Beating Moon | - Lauma incants a sacred song of the far north, gaining 18 stacks of Pale Hymn. - If Lauma uses Elemental Burst with Moon Song, or gains Moon Song within 15s of using it, she consumes all Moon Song stacks and gains 6 Pale Hymn stacks per Moon Song stack. - This can trigger once per Elemental Burst, including the 15s after its use. Pale Hymn: - Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, or Lunar-Bloom DMG consumes 1 Pale Hymn stack to increase DMG based on Lauma's Elemental Mastery. - Hitting multiple opponents consumes multiple stacks. - Each stack duration is counted independently. |
Lauma’s Elemental Burst, Runo: All Hearts Become the Beating Moon, empowers Dendro-related reactions through the Pale Hymn mechanic. While she has Pale Hymns stacks, Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, and Lunar-Bloom damage are further enhanced based on Lauma's Elemental Mastery.
Pale Hymns are gained immediately at the initial Elemental Burst cast and from the Moon Songs generated from the Verdant Dews consumed by the Hold version of her Elemental Skill, which equals to 36 Pale Hymns. If a single instance of a Dendro-reaction hits multiple enemies, it will deplete the same amount of Pale Hymn based on how many enemies are damaged.
Charged Attack Can Be Used for Exploration
Charged Attack Description | |
---|---|
Peregrination of Linnunrata | Charged Attack: Lauma undergoes Spirit Envoy Metamorphosis: -Transforms into a Spirit Envoy, charging forward for up to 10s (consumes Stamina). - Gains increased interruption resistance. - Can consume Stamina to perform up to 2 consecutive jumps. Upon exiting Spirit Envoy state: - Spirit Envoy Metamorphosis enters cooldown. - Lauma’s Charged Attack changes to Spiritcall Prayer: - Consumes Stamina after a short cast time. - Deals AoE Dendro DMG to opponents in front. |
Lauma can travel a decent distance with her Charged Attack. Similar to Arlecchino's Charged Attack, holding Charged Attack will allow Lauma to traverse terrain with relative stamina consumption. She is also able to jump mid-air in her Spirit Enjoy state, similar to Xianyun's Elemental Skill.
Better With More Elemental Mastery
Passive Description | |
---|---|
Cleansing for the Spring | Each point of Elemental Mastery Lauma has will give her the following bonuses: - DMG dealt by her Elemental Skill is increased by 0.04%. The maximum increase obtainable this way is 32%. - The cooldown of her Charged Attack Spirit Envoy Metamorphosis is reduced by 0.02%. The maximum reduction obtainable this way is 20%. |
Apart from the innate Elemental Mastery (EM) scaling of her abilities, one of Lauma's Passive Talents further stresses the importance of building EM on her since it increases the damage dealt by her Elemental Skill, as well as enables you to be able to use her special Charged Attack more often due to a reduced cooldown.
