What Kind Of Character Is Xiangling?

Xiangling is an off-field Pyro Sub-DPS. Her Elemental Burst is able to apply frequent Pyro to enemies at a wide Area. Her Elemental Burst deals powerful damage especially when triggering Vaporize reaction. She works well in both early and end-games and is one of the top Pyro Sub-DPS in-game.

Xiangling has an extensive selection of Polearm and is often joked as the "Polearm Archon" of Genshin. Damage-wise, we find that Staff of the Scarlet Sands deals most damage especially at Vaporize teams. Engulfing Lightning is also good for smoother rotations.

Both the Elemental Skill and Burst of Xiangling are off-field attacks that makes it easier for Pyro reactions like Vaporize and Burgeon to happen. The Elemental Burst of Xiangling is specially powerful with infliction of Pyro and also damage. Buffing and making the Elemental Burst of Xiangling stable is the key use of Xiangling.

Elemental Burst Works Well With Buffs

The Elemental Burst of Xiangling retains the status / buffs that it has during activation (also called Snapshotting) making it work amazing with Buffs. While in battle, make sure to activate buffs first then using Elemental Burst.

Xiangling has a very high Elemental Burst cost of 80 Energy and is often off-field. Because of this, she does not obtain energy orbs. Players commonly use Bennett's Elemental Skill to funnel energy to Xiangling for faster charge of Elemental Burst.

Xiangling Is A Free Character

Xiangling can be obtained upon clearing Spiral Abyss Floor 3. She is a great off-field Pyro DPS that can increase the ATK & Pyro DMG of the whole team.

Her constellations can be obtained in all banners and limited banners that feature Xiangling. Although Xiangling's constellation improves her DPS capabilities, it is not recommended to aim for Xiangling when pulling unless Xiangling's rate is boosted.

Strongest At C4, But C6 Provides Additional Support Abilities

Xiangling's strongest ability is her Burst and at C4, it gets a 3 level increase and its duration is increased. If you can get her to C6, it's better since the active character gains a Pyro DMG Bonus when her Burst is up.
