What Kind of Character is Dehya?
Dehya is a 5-Star Off-Field Pyro support whose most important ability, her Elemental Skill, creates a Fiery Sanctum field. This field increases the active character's resistance to interruption, applies Pyro to enemies inside whenever the character takes damage, and mitigates incoming damage before redirecting it to Dehya.
Dehya isn't usually the first choice in most meta teams. She is usable in some, such as Kinich's Burning teams, but she is rarely the best-in-slot support. Instead, she is often considered a side-grade or alternative to other supports that can directly boost team DPS. Over time, however, her interruption resistance and Off-Field Pyro application have gained more value, making her slightly more viable than she was at release.

Roles & Playstyle of Dehya and Her Strengths and Weakness
Off-Field Support Dehya
Dehya is best suited as an Off-Field Support who deploys her Fiery Sanctum field to help the On-Field DPS mitigate damage, resist any attacks that could interrupt them, and apply Pyro to enemies.
Pros and Cons of Off-Field Support Dehya
Pros |
---|
- Easy to play. |
- Only really needs to deploy her Elemental Skill to provide value to a team. |
- Interruption Resistance provided by the field is equal to a shield. |
- Can equip Tenacity of the Millelith so she can also contribute buffs. |
Cons |
- Personal damage is underwhelming, so her Burst has little use. |
- Elemental Skill has uptime issues. |
- Damage mitigation isn't quite as good as a sole sustain, so you need to pair her with a healer still. |
- Pyro application of the field is very slow and can be unreliable. |

Because Dehya's Elemental Burst isn't used very often, she doesn't need to be built around using it. Instead, you can focus on increasing her max HP since this raises the total damage she can take for the active character, with the maximum amount of damage the Fiery Sanctum can mitigate being limited to 200% of Dehya's Max HP.

Stat Goals For Off-Field Burgeon Trigger Dehya
Elemental Mastery | 800~ |
---|
Dehya can be a functional Burgeon trigger in a reaction-heavy comp. She builds full Elemental Mastery to maximize the damage of the Burgeons. Because her Pyro application is slow, relying on the Burgeon damage alone may not be enough due to how infrequent it would be, so supplementing it with an Electro character than can trigger Aggravate and/or Hyperbloom can help upgrade the total team DPS.

Best Weapon for Dehya
Dehya's support weapon options are primarily utility-based, either as a means of improving her Elemental Skill uptime or by giving her another buff she can activate for the benefit of the whole party. As a Burgeon trigger, she will want weapons that give Elemental Mastery instead. See below for the recommendations:
Premium Weapons for Off-Field Support Dehya
Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
---|---|---|
Best | ![]() | Get from Banners - Energy Recharge% helps Thoma get his Elemental Burst up quicker and more consistently. - Dehya's best general use weapon for most of her team comps. - Passive can reset the long cooldown of Dehya's Elemental Skill. - Best at R5. - Doesn't need to be fully leveled since Dehya doesn't make use of the Energy Recharge secondary stat. |
2nd | ![]() | Get from Limited Banners - For support Dehya, even R1 of this weapon is enough to provide value to her team due to the ATK% buff. - Better at R5. - This weapon isn't available to get unless you roll on weapon banners where it's specifically rated up, thereby decreasing it's ranking overall. |
3rd | ![]() | Get from Banners - Can be a good option in teams that require a lot of external Energy generation to charge key Elemental Bursts. - Better at R5. - Dehya needs to build decent enough CRIT Rate to reliably trigger the passive. |
Typically Dehya wants a weapon that adds on to her utility either by increasing the usability of her Skill or by letting her activate another buff for the team. HP% weapons are viable as a last resort, but the value provided by the above weapons will allow for better team DPS overall versus giving Dehya more HP.
As for Dehya's Signature Weapon, Beacon of the Reed Sea, it is generally recommended to equip it on an On-Field DPS who could take advantage of the the CRIT secondary stat and the ATK% buff. Dehya can only make good use of it when she's has her C6 activated.
Free To Play Friendly (F2P Weapons) for Off-Field Support Dehya
Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
---|---|---|
Best F2P | ![]() | Inazuma Forgeable (Craftable) Weapon - Slightly increases the damage dealt by Dehya's Skill. - |
For Free-to-Play options, most craftable options simply don't synergize well with Dehya. Katsuragikiri Nagamasa is the closest to being usable due to the Skill DMG, but at early Adventure Levels, you can equip any craftable claymore as a placeholder until you can get a copy of any of her premium options, since the passives on the craftables overall low in value for what support Dehya wants to achieve.
Premium Weapons for Off-Field Burgeon Trigger Dehya
Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
---|---|---|
Best | ![]() | Get from Limited Banners - Gives Dehya Elemental Mastery. The more EM she has, the better the damage of the Burgeon explosions. - Lets her provide an ATK% buff to her party, which any ATK-scaling teammate can appreciate. |
2nd | ![]() | Get from Banners - Usable for the Elemental Mastery secondary stat. - Passive isn't relevant for her role as a Burgeon trigger, so this is functions more like a stat-stick. |
Dehya as a burgeon wants a claymore that can give her Elemental Mastery as a baseline. Naturally, any weapon that adds more utility such as Makhaira Aquamarine with its ATK% buff is going to be a lot better overall, but you can typically still use whichever Elemental Mastery claymore you have and get decent results.
Free To Play Friendly (F2P Weapons) for Off-Field Burgeon Trigger Dehya
Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
---|---|---|
Best F2P | ![]() | Reward From Past Event (Windblume's Breath) - Has an Elemental Mastery stat that Dehya wants in a Burgeon comp, and provides the most EM out of all the available EM claymores. - Further increases Dehya's EM after her Skill hits. - Best at R5 - No longer obtainable if you didn't participate in the event. |
2nd | ![]() | Get From Banners - Has an Elemental Mastery stat that Dehya wants in a Burgeon comp. - Further increases Dehya's EM after her Skill hits. - Passive doesn't really provide much impact in a Burgeon comp. |
For Free-to-Play options, the event weapon, Mailed Flower, proivdes the most Elemental Mastery, even more than the premium options. It's the best choice to increase the Burgeon explosion damage, but requires you to have been playing in Version 3.5, when the event that featured the weapon was live. Otherwise, the next best option is a 3-star claymore that is easily obtainable provided you roll on any banner.
Dehya Best Artifacts
Dehya's best Artifacts choices will also depend on her role in a team. See the recommendations below:
Artifact | Recommendation Details |

![]() | ★★★★・ - Lets Dehya shred Dendro RES for a Dendro On-Field DPS, which she can consistently trigger with her Fiery Sanctum field. - The ideal choice if you play Dehya with Kinich. |
![]() | ★★★・・ - Despite having no Nightsoul Burst, Dehya can still activate half of the 4-piece effect and provide 12% DMG bonus for her team. - Requires Dehya to trigger a reaction involving the element of the On-Field DPS that you want to buff first. |
![]() | ★★★・・ - Provides Elemental Mastery for the team when Dehya triggers a reaction. - Good for On-Field DPSes that can appreciate the extra Elemental Mastery like Mualani in a Vape comp. |

Dehya Focuses HP% or Elemental Mastery
For general support purposes, Dehya will build HP% to increase her damage mitigation. For Burgeon, she wants to have as much Elemental Mastery as possible. She doesn't need Energy Recharge due to her Elemental Burst outputting underwhelming damage overall, making it relatively easy to build Dehya for either purpose.

Team Rotation of Dehya and Combos
Basic Team Rotation for Off-Field Support Dehya
Basic Rotation For Off-Field Support Dehya |
---|
1. Start with the other supports. If you have a DPS that needs to use an ability at the start of the rotation, like Arlecchino, then start the rotation with them instead. 2. Switch to Dehya then use his Elemental Skill once, then recast it to activate her passives. 3. Swap into your main On-Field DPS to perform their combo. If you need to refresh as part of the rotation, do so. 4. Return to Step 1. |
Dehya's team rotation pre-C6 is going to be extremely straight-forward since she rarely, if ever, uses her Elemental Burst. The most important part of it is remembering to use her Elemental Skill twice to activate her Unstinting Succor passive, so the interruption resistance and damage mitigation are a little stronger at the start.
C6 Dehya Combo |
---|
Use Elemental Skill twice > Swap to her teammates to deploy their abilities > Use Elemental Burst, time your punches to get around 15 or 16 total. |
If Dehya is C6 and you're interested in using her as an On-Field DPS, you can follow the combo above as a general rule. You can use a mix of Normal Attacks and Elemental Skill inputs to achieve the desired punch amount.
Basics Of Using Dehya
Dehya is often played as an Off-Field Support whose Elemental Skill deploys Fiery Sanctum field that gives increased interruption resistance. While the field is active, the damage taken by the character standing inside it is slightly mitigated, with Dehya receiving a portion of that damage over a certain period of time.
Dehya's Field Acts Similar to a Shield
The Flaming Sanctum that Dehya creates is similar in function to a shield. The active character cannot be interrupted while inside the field, and any damage they take is reduced and instead redirected to Dehya. She automatically triggers a self-heal after she receives a certain amount of damage. Additionally, the field releases a Pyro coordinated attack to enemies inside when the active character takes damage.
Elemental Burst Has a Unique Mechanic
Dehya's Elemental Burst causes her to release a fury of blows in a specific direction. This requires you to input your Normal Attack according to a sound cue that plays at a set interval. Timing it correctly results in Dehya releasing her punches or blows faster, contributing to an increase in damage. Her Elemental Burst can also be cancelled early if you jump in her Burst mode.
Elemental Skill, Burst and Abilities Guide for Dehya
How To Use Dehya's Skills & Passives
Damage Mitigation and Increased Resistance to Interruption
Basic Rotation Of Dehya |
---|
1. Start with other supports, then use their Elemental Skills or Bursts. 2. Swap to Dehya then use her Elemental Skill twice to trigger one of her passives. 3. Switch to your On-Field DPS to do their combo. Refresh key abilities if its part of the team's regular rotation. 4. Return to step 1. |
Off-Field Dehya will usually only need to deploy her Fiery Sanctum through her Skill in a rotation. This is because her Elemental Burst at C0 doesn't deal enough damage to justify the time used.
Elemental Skill Is Her Most Important Ability
Dehya's main supportive value comes from her Elemental Skill. On its first cast, Dehya creates a field that provides three effects for the active character: increased interruption resistance, damage mitigation with a portion redirected to Dehya, and Off-Field Pyro application to enemies whenever the character is hit. The redirected damage is known as "Redmane’s Blood" and drains Dehya’s HP over time (DoT).
Her Skill can be recast, and doing so is usually recommended to trigger her passive, Unstinting Succor, which reduces the damage Dehya receives from Redmane's Blood. Because the damage mitigation stops after Dehya receives 200% of her Max HP in damage, activating this passive ensures that the mitigation is in-effect for a little longer.
Elemental Burst Has a Timing Mechanic
Dehya’s Elemental Burst contributes a large portion of her personal damage but requires her to remain on-field. When activated, she enters a special stance and unleashes a barrage of punches in the chosen direction. By default, she performs 6 punches, but rapidly pressing the Attack or Skill button can increase this to 10. Once the sequence ends, she automatically recasts her Elemental Skill.
While in this stance, Dehya’s punches are considered Burst attacks rather than Normal Attacks. As a result, she cannot trigger effects tied to Normal Attacks, such as Yelan’s Burst. Jumping will also cancel the stance early, so avoid doing so if you want to complete the full sequence.
Passives Increase Her Viability as a Sustain Character
Passives Descriptions | |
---|---|
Unstinting Succor | After Indomitable Flame (Skill cast once): - For 9s, grants all party members Gold-Forged Form which further boosts interruption resistance inside Fiery Sanctum. Can activate once every 18s. After Ranging Flame / Leonine Bite (Elemental Burst / Skill cast twice): - For 6s, Dehya takes 60% less damage from Redmane’s Blood (the deferred damage she absorbs from allies via Fiery Sanctum). Can trigger once every 2s. ▲ This helps increase the uptime of her damage mitigation effect since it stops after hitting the cap (which is damage equal to 200% of Dehya's max HP). |
Stalwart and True | When her HP is less than 40%, Dehya will recover 20% of her Max HP and will restore 6% of her Max HP every 2s for the next 10s. This effect can be triggered once every 20s. |
Dehya’s Ascension Passives strengthen her Elemental Skill’s two core functions: the interruption resistance and damage mitigation. Her first passive increases interruption resistance when she first creates a Fiery Sanctum, and if the field is renewed, either by recasting her Skill or after using her Burst, she briefly takes reduced damage from the accumulated mitigation (Redmane’s Blood).
Her second passive heals her after she absorbs a set amount of damage, allowing her to act as a pseudo-sustain unit by steadily mitigating and recovering HP. However, heavy damage can still overwhelm her, so it is best to pair her with a dedicated healer to ensure survivability.
Can Be Played in a Burgeon Team
Since Dehya's Elemental Skill applies AoE Pyro to enemies within the area, she can act as a convincing Burgeon trigger if built with Elemental Mastery as a focus. Due to how infrequent her Off-Field Pyro hits, its best to supplement her damage with other DPSes or by triggering other reactions in tandem, such as Hyperbloom or Electrocharged.
On-Field DPS Playstyle Is Better at C6
C6: The Burning Claws Cleaving | The CRIT Rate of Leonine Bite is increased by 10%. Additionally, after a Flame-Mane's Fist attack hits an opponent and deals CRIT Hits during a single Blazing Lioness state, it will cause the CRIT DMG of Leonine Bite to increase by 15% for the rest of Blazing Lioness's duration and extend that duration by 0.5s. This effect can be triggered every 0.2s. The duration can be extended for a maximum of 2s and CRIT DMG can be increased by a maximum of 60% this way. |
---|
Dehya is normally built to function in a supportive role, since her personal damage at C0 is underwhelming. If you happen to have her C6, her Elemental Burst becomes a decent source of DPS due to the increased CRIT stats she receives with this Constellation, which opens up a use-case for Dehya as an On-Field Pyro DPS.
Should You Pull for Dehya's Constellation Or Best Weapon?
Choose Based on Preference
Recommendation for General-Purpose |
---|
![]() |
Beacon of the Reed Sea is a Decent Generalist Weapon
Since Dehya is a standard character, getting her constellations after failing to secure the rate-up limited 5-star is very possible, but not guaranteed. Conversely, her weapon was not added to the standard banner pool and may only appear during Chronicled Wish banners. Prior to getting Dehya's C6, it'll generally be better to consider getting Beacon of the Reed Sea since its a 5-star claymore with a Crit Rate substat that can be used as a stat-stick on other claymore DPS characters.
Recommendation for Dehya-Focus |
---|
C1 > C2 > ![]() |
C1 is a Good Stopping Point
Dehya's constellations do improve her damage potential, but you will likely not notice a significant improvement in her performance before C6, where she can become your main carry. C1 improves her tanking and sustain abilities and will be a good stopping point for those who would want to use her in place of a shield character.

★★・・・ | When Dehya uses Molten Inferno: Ranging Flame, the duration of the recreated Fiery Sanctum field will be increased by 6s. ★★・・・ | C5: The Alpha Unleashed Increases the Level of Molten Inferno by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
