Best Teams For Arlecchino
Arlecchino Is a Flexible Pyro DPS
| Team | Rating Description |
|---|---|
| ▼ Hexerei Vaporize Arlecchino | ★★★★★ - Arlecchino's current best performing team is a reverse Vaporize team that takes advantage of Mona's Witch's Homework buffs and the Celestial Gift set to greatly elevate Arlecchino's DPS. - Encourages the usage of a specialized Arlecchino combo. - Heavily benefits from having Constellations on Mona. |
| ▼ Hexerei Overload With Chevreuse | ★★★★☆ - The best Overload team version utilizes Chevreuse's Pyro RES shred to produce potent DMG provided the team only has Pyro and Electro characters. - DPS further increases with Chevreuse's Constellation 6 (C6), but you can make the team work even without it. - Overload without Chevreuse is often underwhelming. - Nicole and Fischl enable the Hexerei Resonance effect and allows the team to access the full DMG% buff from the Celestial Gift set. |
| ▼ Melt Arlecchino | ★★★☆☆ - A true or forward Melt team that deploys Cryo Off-Field supports, ideally Citlali, to allow Arlecchino to trigger Melt on her Normal Attacks with a specific attack combo. - There is a tendency for Arlecchino to miss Melt triggers due to Citlali's application rate if you aren't careful with Arlecchino's combos. - Vertical investment into Arlecchino's or her Melt teammates' Constellations can enable this team to outperform the Vaporize comp. |
| ▼ Hexerei Mono-Pyro Arlecchino | ★★☆☆☆ - Generally easy to use since it doesn't rely on reaction damage. - Has lower DPS potential than other teams but has room for error in the rotations. - Pairs Arlecchino with capable Off-Field Sub-DPSes to increase total team damage. |
Thanks to Arlecchino's ability to retain her Pyro infusion after swapping out of her, her team building and rotations lends itself to a good amount of flexibility compared to other Pyro DPSes.
However, she has clear teammate preferences when it comes to pure DPS, where comps that revolve around Pyro-amplifying reactions, namely Vaporize and Melt, are going to be Arlecchino's ideal setups.
Arlecchino Teammate FAQ
Why Is Mona Good for Arlecchino?| As of the current version, Arlecchino's best performing setups are Vaporize with a Hexerei core and Melt with Citlali. However, the DPS potential of the Vaporize team is far higher than Melt due to a number of factors. |
| Mona's buffing value received a drastic increase following her Witch's Homework buffs to her passives and Constellations and the release of the Celestial Gift set. This includes her Omen buff that gives DMG%, the Omen extension mechanic through her Hex passive; her Constellation 1 (C1) that adds another Vaporize DMG% increase; a teamwide Elemental Mastery (EM) boost from her C2; additional CRIT Rate with her C4, and one more DMG% from having Celestial Gift equipped with another Hexerei teammate. |
| The other advantage of the Vaporize team is its slightly easier combo and rotation. Due to Citlali's Cryo application rate, Arlecchino can miss a Melt hit if you aren't able to time her attacks or execute her combo correctly. |
| The Hexerei Vaporize team has less limited 5-star requirements than the Melt team. |
| Since you can swap out of Arlecchino and still retain her Pyro infusion, you can extend the presence of Hydro on an enemy by switching to Mona to use her Normal Attacks. |
| The above buffs all amount to a significant increase to Arlecchino's DPS potential, allowing her to be extremely competitive with the top meta teams. But most of it is dependent on Mona's key Constellations, and you will want at least C1 Mona for Arlecchino's Vaporize team to start outperforming her Melt team with Citlali. |
| Essentially, whether the Hexerei Vaporize team will be better DPS-wise is reliant on your Mona's Constellation level, vertical investment, as well as your ability to time and perfect Arlecchino's combos. If you only have C0 Mona, then your Melt or even Overload Arlecchino team may show better results. Otherwise, the Hexerei Vaporize team will generally have better average DPS and is more approachable for Free-to-Play players that want to tackle harder endgame content. |

Hexerei Mona Is a Strong Partner for Arlecchino
Thanks to post-buff Hexerei Mona's generous Vaporize-related buffs (with the Celestial Gift equipped), this Arlecchino team boasts high DPS potential that is far more consistent than the Melt comps with Citlali.
Mona's Hydro application on the surface may seem insufficient for a Vaporize team, but because Arlecchino isn't punished for swapping mid-combo, you can switch to Mona and use her Normal Attacks (NA) or Charged Attacks (CA) to re-apply more Hydro.
This aligns with her Hexerei passive that requires her to attack enemies with her NAs or CAs to extend the duration of her Omen debuff. Mona's C2 increases the reliability of the Hydro application through this method.
Hexerei Vaporize Arlecchino Rotation
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Arlecchino's Elemental Skill to apply Blood-Debts to enemies. └ You can use her Elemental Burst on the second rotation at the start if you need healing. Just make sure to do Burst first before Skill, or use her Skill, Burst, then Skill. |
| 2 | Switch to Fischl. Use her Skill or Burst, whichever is available. |
| 3 | Swap to Bennett. Use his Skill (tap) then Burst. |
| 4 | Use Mona's Skill followed by Burst, then Normal Attack (x1). |
| 5 | Switch to Arlecchino and use Charged Attack (x1) to absorb the Blood-Debts to gain Bond of Life for her Pyro infusion. |
| 6 | Normal Attack (x3) into Dash cancel as Arlecchino. Repeat this sequence until support durations expire. └ The more optimal Arlecchino combo should be: Charged Attack → [ Normal Attack (x2) → Walk (lightly flick your forward input as soon as you see the animation of her 2nd Normal Attack) ] x2 → Normal Attack (x5) |
| 7 | Swap back to Mona. Perform Normal Attack (x2) to re-apply Hydro. |
| 8 | Repeat step 6. └ The more optimal Arlecchino combo should on this step should be: Charged Attack → [ Normal Attack (x2) → Walk (lightly flick your forward input as soon as you see the animation of her 2nd Normal Attack) ] x2 → Normal Attack (x3) |
| 9 | Repeat from Step 1. |
It should be noted that Arlecchino's optimal combos here make use of unconventional inputs (walk) to squeeze out as much damage as possible. This involves lightly flicking or tapping forward on your directional input, and should ideally be done as soon as you see the starting animation of Arlecchino's 2nd Normal Attack.
Tip! | After the first Normal Attack, try to input the walk immediately after Arlecchino lunges or while slashing diagonally. |

Fischl | Sucrose Nicole Prune | - In Arlecchino's Hexerei Vaporize team, you will want at least two Hexerei teammate to activate Mona's Hex Passive and the Hexerei Secret Rite Resonance. - The best secondary Hexerei teammate will very often be between your choice of Sucrose and Fischl. But Nicole (if no Bennett) and Prune can also be considered. - The damage difference between Sucrose and Fischl is marginal in practice, but what sets them apart is that Sucrose would rather have another Pyro teammate apart from Arlecchino that can apply Pyro for her to trigger Swirl and to shred Pyro RES through Viridescent Venerer set. - Fischl, on the other hand, allows you more flexibility for the last team slot since her primary role, apart from being Hexerei, is to extend the presence of Hydro on an enemy by triggering Electrocharged. |
Bennett | Nicole Iansan Citlali Lan Yan Xilonen Yelan | - Bennett is Arlecchino's ideal ATK% buffer, but in this Hexerei setup, he is far more replaceable for Arlecchino than he was previously. - Nicole is the obvious best alternative since her teamwide ATK% buff is comparable to Bennett's. Her biggest upside over Bennett is how her shield will feel much comfier to use on Arlecchino, who cannot be healed by her teammates. - If you're using Fischl, you can slot in any other synergistic buffer or sustain you have on-hand. You may even include specific Off-Fielders whose abilities can help you clear an enemy's specific combat gimmick, such as a Cryo support for a boss that requires Cryo application. |
Mona C1+ | - | - This team performs the way it does due to how well Arlecchino synergizes with Hexerei Mona. Other Hydro options simply do not possess the same buff value as Mona, and will be a significant downgrade otherwise. - You can still make do with C0 Mona, though the average DPS would be lower as a result. |

Overload Team Also Benefits From Celestial Gift
This version of Arlecchino's Overload team takes advantage of Fischl's modest ATK% buff after triggering Overload, as well as the full DMG% bonus from the Celestial Gift set in a party with two Hexerei teammates.
Additionally, Arlecchino's Overload teams tend to have much easier combos that don't involve specific cancels or timing. But the average DPS is far less than the Hexerei Vaporize team at baseline investment (no Arlecchino Constellations or Signature Weapon).
Hexerei Overload Arlecchino With Chevreuse Team Rotation
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Arlecchino's Elemental Skill to apply Blood-Debts to enemies. └ You can use her Elemental Burst on the second rotation at the start if you need healing. Just make sure to do Burst first before Skill, or use her Skill, Burst, then Skill. |
| 2 | Swap to Nicole. Use her Skill. Burst is optional and can be skipped or used every other rotation. └ Swap Nicole and Chevreuse's rotation placement if Nicole has Thrilling Tales equipped. |
| 3 | Use Fischl's Skill or Burst, whichever is available. |
| 4 | Swap to Chevreuse. Use Skill (hold) then Burst. └ It's best to deploy Chevreuse before Arlecchino if you don't have constant Off-Field Electro application, so she can still benefit from Chevreuse's RES shred. |
└ The more optimal Arlecchino combo should be: Normal Attack (x1) → Charged Attack → [ Normal Attack (x3) → Dash ] x5 → Normal Attack (x3) |
| 7 | Repeat from step 1. |
Tip! | Holding Chevreuse's Elemental Skill activates her passive that provides a modest ATK% buff to the party, so it's recommended to always favor using the Hold version of her skill over the Tap version whenever possible. |

Substitute Characters

Fischl | Iansan Ororon Alyosha Ineffa Shinobu Raiden | - Replacing Fischl means you are unable to take advantage of any effect that requires an active Hexerei Resonance. If you're using Nicole, you can give her Noblesse Oblige or a combination of 2-piece + 2-piece ATK% sets instead. - Iansan, Ororon, and Alyosha are the better alternatives since they provide more than just Electro application, such as ATK% buffs. - Other Off-Field Electro characters are there to apply Electro so you can constantly trigger Overload, which increases Chevreuse's RES Shred duration. - You can make do with limited Electro application on Arlecchino since her hardest hits are dealt at the start of her combo; a shorter RES Shred duration is not a problem for her. |
Nicole | Bennett Iansan Alyosha Beidou Durin | - Nicole completes the Hexerei Resonace and allows the team to access the complete DMG% buff from the Celestial Gift set. Without another Hexerei teammate, you either have to make do with another Artifact set or deploy a different buffer in this slot. - You will usually want to at least have an additional ATK% buffer alongside Arlecchino, so Iansan and Bennett will be the better choices. - Alyosha's modest ATK% buff pales in comparison to the other two, but it's still serviceable if either Bennett or Iansan are unavailable. - You can also opt into a Pyro or Electro shielder for sustain purposes. - White Flame mode Durin is another viable Hexerei teammate for Arlecchino here. He can equip the Gift set and provide both additional Pyro RES and a bit of his personal DMG. |
Chevreuse | Durin | - Chevreuse is what makes this team viable into endgame content due to all her buffs, so she has no substitute that provides the same benefits, especially at C6. - While her buff value is at its strongest with her Constellation 6 (C6), even just a C0 Chevreuse will suffice. - Altenatively, you can also consider Durin as a Chevreuse replacement given that he provides RES shred himself. Having Nicole also increases his value on this team a little more, but he will often be less effective than C6 Chevreuse anyway. |
Chevreuse Limits Teambuilding
Chevreuse allows Overload teams to deal competitive DPS due to her Pyro and Electro RES Shred, attack buffs at C0, and DMG% bonus for said elements with C6. But adding her to a team limits it to only Pyro and Electro characters, since her passive that provides the RES Shred is only active when the party includes two elements exclusively.
It's highly recommended to build the team with these restrictions in mind.

Citlali Has Wide But Slow Cryo Application
Unlike her competitors, Citlali has the longest Off-Field Cryo application duration, which is also not limited to a select area. The AoE of her Cryo application is also fairly wide, and she provides a shield to boot, making her one of Arlecchino's best pairings for a Melt team due to inherent synergy.
The only downside is that the optimal rotation typically requires you to wait in between Normal Attack sequences for Arlecchino, since Citlali doesn't apply Cryo faster than Arlecchino can apply Pyro.
Melt Arlecchino Team Rotation
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Arlecchino's Elemental Skill to apply Blood-Debts to enemies. └ You can use her Elemental Burst on the second rotation at the start if you need healing. Just make sure to do Burst first before Skill, or use her Skill, Burst, then Skill. |
| 4 | Use Bennett's Skill (Tap) into Burst. |
| 3 | Swap to Xilonen. Use Skill, then Normal Attack (x2). Only use Burst if teammates other than Arlecchino need healing. └ Remember to pick up the Pyro Crystallize shard if you have Xilonen on Archaic Petra. |
| 2 | Swap to Citlali. Use her Skill, then Burst. |
| 5 | Switch to Arlecchino and use Charged Attack (x1) to absorb the Blood-Debts to gain Bond of Life for her Pyro infusion. |
| 6 | Normal Attack (x5) into Dash cancel as Arlecchino. Do this twice, then refrain from attacking to allow for Citlali to reapply more Cryo (around 1 second). Repeat this whole process until support durations expire. └ The more optimal Arlecchino combo should be: Charged Attack (x1) → Dash→ [ Normal Attack (x5) → Dash ] x5 → Wait for around 1 second → Normal Attack (x5) |
| 7 | Repeat from step 1. |
Arlecchino's combo with Citlali has a soft requirement where she needs to wait in between Normal Attack sequences so she doesn't overwhelm Citlali's application with Pyro, which can lead to lower DPS since Citlali would end up triggering the Melt instead.
Tip! | Try practicing triggering Melt with Arlecchino and Citlali first to develop an innate sense for the wait timing. |

Substitute Characters

|---|---|---|
Citlali | Escoffier Qiqi Rosaria | - While they won't have the same Cryo uptime as Citlali, any Off-Field Cryo support can work as a decent, if lower DPS alternative. - Escoffier can actually be paired alongside Citlali to make your Cryo application less prone to running out too quickly, which can theoretically remove the need to wait during Arlecchino's combo. - Qiqi after her Witch's Revelation buff can now apply Off-Field Cryo more reliably, so she's a decent alternative if you aren't using her in a Stellar Glimmer team. - 4-Star Cryo characters would prefer to have an additional Cryo teammate for better application. |
Bennett | Nicole Iansan | - Bennett is one of Arlecchino's most ideal teammage because he gives a generous ATK% buff and activates Pyro resonance, which is a large boost of ATK% overall. - Nicole is a direct substitute or sidegrade to Bennet at base (Constellation 0). Her shields have a lot less value in a Melt team due to Citlali, but can be preferred if your Citlali doesn't have enough Elemental Mastery to help her Shield strength. - Iansan's ATK% buff is tied to movement, which Arlecchino can achieve with dash cancels, in theory. But her buff is going to be lower overall since you lose Pyro resonance. |
Xilonen | Sucrose Escoffier Zhongli Lan Yan Kazuha | - The fourth slot is usually going to be a supportive character that can provide additional buffs, shields or RES shred. A secondary Cryo character can also be considered for better Cryo application. - Kazuha and Sucrose both fulfill the RES shred by equipping Viridescent Venerer. Sucrose gives an EM buff, while Kazuha provides an Elemental DMG% bonus. - Zhongli brings a durable shield and Elemental RES shred, similar to Xilonen. - Lan Yan's shield is a little less durable but she can also hold Viridescent Venerer and Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, like Sucrose. |
Activate Pyro Resonance Through Bennett or Nicole
Not having Bennett (or Nicole) can result in a nofor Arlecchino, but he is fortunately available for purchase at Paimon's Bargain on a specific month, and even at C0 he provides so much for Arlecchino that it's recommended to secure yourself a Bennett however you can, if you haven't already.
Citlali is slightly more replaceable in comparison, but the substitutes will result in a decrease in performance and a loss of the shield utility.

Compensate Lack of Reactions With Sub-DPSes
Mono-teams are an umbrella term for comps that are predominantly composed of 1 element, in this case Pyro, with the last slot being an Anemo or Geo Off-Fielder. In the above sample, the Mono-Pyro team makes up for the lack of reactions by pairing Arlecchino with Off-Field Sub-DPSes.
Both Durin and Albedo can contribute non-negligible personal DMG, especially when paired together so their Hex passives are enabled. Nicole completes the lineup through her teamwide ATK buff (that Durin will also benefit from), her durable shield, and her ability to equip the Celestial Gift set.

| 4 | Swap to Albedo. Deploy his Skill. |

Albedo | Kazuha Lan Yan Prune Zhongli Xilonen Emilie | - Albedo's slot on the team isn't fixed, especially if you already have Nicole and Durin, so you can flex most Anemo Off-Field buffing supports here since they can equip Viridescent Venerer to apply RES shred. - Geo RES Shredders are also viable options. - Emilie can also be a serviceable alternative since she benefits from Nicole's teamwide ATK% buff and can contribute some damage to the overall team DPS. |
Durin | Xiangling Xilonen Emilie | - Durin's RES Shred and personal damage combination is hard to replicate, and most substitutes can only offer one over the other. - Xiangling's personal DPS is serviceable, but she requires a fair amount of Energy Recharge for her to reliably use her Burst every rotation. She is best played alongside Bennett due to how her Burst interacts with his buff. - Xilonen is a notable Durin alternative in a sense that she provides RES and activates the Geo Resonance that gives a DMG% buff to the active shielded character and reduces enemy Geo RES, thus giving Albedo's DPS a substantial boost. - Emilie can also fill this slot, albeit less effectively. But she is notably good into enemies that require multiple counts of Pyro to activate certain mechanics (such as the Lava Dragon Statue), since Burning ticks are still considered Pyro. |
Nicole | Bennett Iansan | - Nicole's utility is much more appreciated in this setup because of the presence of multiple Sub-DPSes, which give her an edge over Bennett who only provides an ATK% buff to the active character. - You can still replace Nicole with Bennett, however, more so if you already have Albedo and Durin to activate the Hex Resonance. In this case, Durin will be the one holding the Gift set instead. - Iansan can also work in a pinch, but only if you have Durin or any other secondary Pyro character to activate Pyro Resonance. |
