Zibai is a 5-Star On-Field Geo Sword user in Genshin Impact. She deals damage with her Geo-infused Normal Attacks and Special Elemental Skill. Zibai is a character from Liyue but can increase the party's Moonsign level by 1.

Zibai is the Lunar-Crystallize DPS who deals damage with her Geo-infused Normal Attacks and special Elemental Skill. She uses her Elemental Skill to enter Lunar Phase Shift that infuses her Attacks and she can obtain Radiance stacks to use her special Elemental Skill. Her Elemental Burst does 2 attacks and the 2nd deals Lunar-Crystallize DMG.

She can increase the team's Moonsign Level by 1 and has an Ascendant Gleam effect that allows the 4th Geo-infused Attack from her to deal Lunar-Crystallize DMG and Lunar-Crystallize triggers from her teammates can generate Radiance stacks for her.

Best Weapon for Zibai

It's likely that Zibai is similar to Nefer where CRIT DMG weapons that can boost their preferred stat are best on them and pure DEF weapons perform better than a CRIT DMG weapon that doesn't boost DEF.

3rd	Peak Patrol Song	Get from Limited Banner - Xilonen's signature weapon that's only available for pulling when she's on rate up. - Gives a big amount of DEF which can increase the Direct Lunar-Crystallize DMG of Zibai's Special Elemental Skill and Burst.

If you aren't pulling for Lightbearing Moonshard, the signature weapons of Chiori and Xilonen can be used. If Zibai does work similarly to other Moonsign characters, Peak Patrol Song is a bit weaker than the Natlan craftable sword but does better than any CRIT DMG sword that doesn't buff DEF as well.

3rd (Event)	Cinnabar Spindle	Get from Limited Event - Obtainable from Version 2.3's flagship event. - Functions as a DEF stat stick but does worse than Peak Patrol Song. - DMG increase effect doesn't affect the Lunar-Crystallize damage from Zibai's Skill.

Flute Of Ezpitzal is Zibai's best F2P weapon and outranks all other DEF stat sticks as well as CRIT DMG swords that don't buff her DEF. It's also her 3rd best weapon and since it's obtainable, if you're not planning to get her weapon or Chiori's weapon, the Natlan craftable sword is the next best option.

Zibai is best used with artifact sets that can boost her CRIT stats and/or DEF. Her best set is the Night set due to its ability to buff her CRIT Rate and Lunar Reaction DMG.

Prioritize a Good CR/CD Ratio Before DEF

Zibai needs a decent CR/CD ratio, especially if she's using a DEF% sword and not a CRIT DMG sword. It's not recommended to overbuff her DEF since it's a damage loss if her CRIT stats aren't good enough.

- Zibai's Lunar-Crystallize team is similar to Mono Geo teams where 3 Geo characters are the recommended amount. - Illuga can boost Lunar-Crystallize DMG greatly while Zhongli provides a shield and RES shred. - Columbina applies Hydro and also buffs Lunar Reaction DMG but she will need more Energy Recharge as a solo Hydro.

Illuga is Zibai's partner support and it's not recommended to switch him out especially if it's a Lunar-Crystallize team. Columbina is the best Hydro Sub-DPS slot-in for Moonsign teams while Zhongli is a comfort pick and can be replaced if you can play without a sustain or shield. Gorou is the next best 3rd Geo who can take Zhongli's spot and can help buff Zibai's damage.

Zibai works similarly to Infusion DPS characters. Use her Elemental Skill to infuse her attacks then spam Normal Attacks to gain Radiance stacks to use her Special Elemental Skill. Her Elemental Burst can be used at the end of her rotation before buffs from her teammates end.

Moonsign Lunar-Crystallize DPS

Zibai is a Geo DPS that specializes in Lunar-Crystallize DMG. While she does have an Ascendant Gleam effect, the impact it has is not as great as Nefer's. Zibai's Ascendant Gleam helps her gain stacks and deal an instance of Lunar-Crystallize DMG.

Scales on DEF and Hydro/Geo Only Team Recommended

Zibai scales on DEF and her Passives boost Lunar-Crystallize DMG based on it. Geo and Hydro teammates boost her DEF and Elemental Mastery, respectively.

Use Elemental Skill to Infuse Attacks

Zibai is played like an Infusion DPS using her Elemental Skill to infuse her Attacks with Geo. It's recommended to use her Normal Attacks since it helps her gain Radiance stacks.

Elemental Burst is Not Required to Be Used

While Zibai's Burst can deal Lunar-Crystallize DMG, it can take up time that could have been used for a faster rotation to buff her Geo-infused Normal Attacks and Elemental Skill DMG. However, it can be used as a finisher to her rotation.

Special Elemental Skill Does Lunar-Crystallize DMG

Zibai's Special Elemental Skill deals powerful Lunar-Crystallize DMG but it needs Radiance stacks that you can gain from her Geo-infused Normal Attacks. Her Ascendant Gleam helps her gain stacks faster with her teammates' help.

How To Use Zibai's Skills & Passives?

Lunar-Crystallize DPS For Moonsign Teams

Zibai is a Geo DPS who specializes in Lunar-Crystallize and is best used in Moonsign teams. Her Ascendant Gleam effect doesn't greatly change her kit but it makes her easier to play.

Elemental Skill Infuses Attacks With Geo

Zibai's Elemental Skill is a typical Infusion skill that allows her Normal and Charged Attacks to deal Geo DMG. This Infusion state is called Lunar Phase Shift mode.

Gain Stacks Using Normal Attacks To Use Special Skill

Zibai can gain Phase Shift Radiance stacks that she can consume to use a Special Elemental Skill up to 4 times during her Skill mode. Aside from Geo-infused Normal Attacks, she can gain Radiance stacks through her teammates as well.

Special Skill's 2nd Hit Deals Lunar-Crystallize DMG

Zibai's Special Elemental Skill is called Spirit Steed's Stride and scales on her DEF like all of her attacks. It can deal Lunar-Crystallize DMG and if she's similar to Moonsign DPS characters, it likely scales heavily on her DEF. Based on that, Zibai can use a DEF% sword and achieve results better than a sword that doesn't boost her DEF at all.

Elemental Burst Can Deal Lunar-Crystallize DMG

Zibai's Elemental Burst also deals Direct Lunar-Crystallize DMG in its 2nd hit. If Zibai is similar to other Infusion DPS characters, it likely doesn't deal too much damage and can be skipped.

Geo/Hydro Teammates Increase DEF And Elemental Mastery

Zibai's Passive doesn't restrict the Elements in her team but it incentivizes bringing only Geo and Hydro characters, favoring Geo more. Zibai gains more DEF per Geo teammate while Hydro teammates buff her EM. Since Illuga is a Lunar-Crystallize support and Geo, he counts as the 2nd Geo in the team and provides a DEF boost to Zibai.

Zibai is one of Eight Adepts of Liyue that defended the land from Tao Dou and helped seal him away. Various books mention her as a wandering adeptus who often tells stories of the past to people who come across her.

Likely an Angel and child of Istaroth

In the book, Springs of Hidden Jade, Zibai was mentioned to be viewed as an emissary from the heavens by Enkanomiyans who also worshipped Istaroth. The Enkanomiyans also recognized her as a daughter of Istaroth, which explains why Istaroth is the speaker on her character introduction.

Affiliated with the Moon Goddesses

In multiple books, Zibai was often retelling the story of the moon goddesses. Her Moon Wheel is a sign of her affiliation with them though her version of the Moon Wheel looks ancient and less detailed compared to the Moon Wheels that 5-Star Nod-Krai characters have.
