Symphonist of Scents is obviously going to be Escoffier's best weapon, bar none, since it increases her damage by buffing her own ATK and the ATK of any teammate she heals. If you don't have it, Escoffier can use most CRIT secondary stat weapons to boost her DPS.

You can also opt into an Energy Recharge weapon like the Favonius Lance if the team she's in is heavily reliant on their Elemental Bursts.

Basic Rotation of Escoffier

Escoffier's gameplay mechanics follow the simplicity of most Off-Field supports. You simply need to tap her Elemental Skill, followed by her Burst then switch to other characters. You can opt out of using her Burst if the team she's deployed in doesn't need the healing.

Note!	In most Furina teams, you'll typically want to use Furina's abilities first since her durations are longer than Escoffier's.

Basics Of Using Escoffier (Beginner's Guide)

Easy to Use Cryo Sub-DPS and Support for Freeze Teams

Escoffier doesn't have a lot of complex mechanics in her kit in comparison to other characters, and you only need to take note of two important aspects of her gameplay: her Elemental Skill and optimal Team Composition.

Use Elemental Skill (Tap) to Enter Cold Storage Mode

Escoffier's Skill will summon a Cooking Mek beside the active character after tapping or holding the ability. This Cooking Mek enters Cold Storage Mode when you use the Tap version of her Skill. This is the Cooking Mek's optimal combat state since this is the mode that fires Cryo Attacks.

After ascending Escoffier to Level 40, you unlock her "Inspiration-Immersed Seasoning" passive that lowers the Hydro and Cryo Resistance of enemies hit by her Cooking Mek's attacks.

Note!	Escoffier's Hold Skill activates its Off-the-Cuff Cookery mode, which creates unique food items after hitting the Cooking Mek with Elemental attacks. You need to fill the bar that appears above it in order to spawn the dish. This ability resets weekly on Mondays.

Reduced Resistance is Based on Hydro & Cryo Characters in the Team

The amount of Cryo and Hydro Resistance shred that the passive provides depends on the number of Hydro and Cryo characters in the team. If you do not have a full Hydro and Cryo team, the amount of shred gets reduced by 40% or more, so we highly recommend including only Hydro and Cryo in Escoffier teams.

Burst Is Her Strongest Healing Source

Escoffier's Elemental Burst is where her sustain abilities are concentrated into her Elemental Burst and her Ascension 1 Passive. After dealing a single instance of Cryo DMG, her Burst activates a teamwide healing effect that scales with her ATK stat. Her Burst also activates her Ascension 1 passive, "Better to Salivate Than Medicate", which applies a gradual healing-over-time effect on the active character.

Premiere Support For Cryo and Hydro DPSes

Escoffier is a Cryo Support and Sub-DPS that is designed to elevate most Cryo and Hydro DPSes. While she can be used as a healer outside of those teams, her RES shred is weaker if her teammates aren't exclusively Cryo or Hydro.

Escoffier is the main shred support for Freeze or Mono-Cryo teams since her Ascension 1 passive supplies a generous 55% Cryo and Hydro RES shred after her Elemental Skill hits an enemy.

This effect reaches its full potential when the team is composed of only Cryo and Hydro characters, otherwise the RES shred is decreased significantly.

Escoffier's Burst activates two healing effects after use. It first spreads a single instance of teamwide healing, then it triggers her Ascension 1 Passive that applies a healing-over-time effect for the active character.

Note!	While she's still effective as your sole healer on the team, some enemies may require you to bring another healer or shielder to fight comfortably, such as the Rifthounds or Radiant Beasts.

Elemental Skill Deals Cryo DMG

Escoffier can also apply Cryo using her Elemental Skill. It has two modes, but the Tap version is the only mode equipped with combat abilities.

Arkhe Reacts With Pneuma

Escoffier's Skill has an additional mechanic called an Arkhe. This is unique to Fontaine characters, wherein their abilities have a dark Arkhe called Ousia, or a light Arkhe called Pneuma.

Ousia-aligned damage creates an attack called Surging Blade, which, when it hits an enemy or object infused with Pneuma, triggers an Annihilation reaction. The same happens when Pneuma-aligned damage meets an Ousia-powered enemy or object.

Some enemies have combat moves that certain Arkhe disable, such as the Experimental Field Generator. Arkhe can also be used to solve puzzles found in Fontaine. For Escoffier, her Arkhe is Ousia (dark), and is triggered at set intervals after using her tap Skill.

Should You Pull for Escoffier's Constellation Or Best Weapon?

Depending on your character roster, the optimal choice between Escoffier's C1 and Signature Weapon starts to vary. C1 is a noticeable increase to Escoffier's value as a support due to the teamwide 60% CRIT DMG buff in Cryo and Hydro only teams. Her Signature Weapon, on the other hand, is a flexible polearm for a lot of ATK% scaling for Off-Field characters.

If you have other characters that can use her Signature Weapon (like Iansan or Chevreuse). or if the rate-up banner also includes a 5-star weapon you see yourself using, opting to get Symphonist of Scents first can be your course of action.

On the other hand, her C1 will still be a solid investment for her best teams overall, especially if you aren't able to secure a 5-star rate-up weapon or don't have other characters that can make use of Symphonist.

Constellation 2, 4 and 6 Are All Good Stopping Points

Escoffier's C2, in tandem with her C1, greatly increases her supportive utility for Cryo and Hydro DPSes. The buff from C2 functions similarly to Shenhe's Quills, making for a generous damage boost when paired with other DMG% buffs.

It's fine to stop at C2 if you're able to, but if you do have extra funds, going all the way to C4 or even C6 also helps further Escoffier's ability to be the premier Cryo/Hydro DPS support.
