What Kind of Character is Faruzan?
In battle, Faruzan is a 4-Star Anemo
Faruzan is a core piece of most Anemo DPS teams due to her buffs, but because most Anemo DPSes are hardly meta nowadays, Faruzan's placement in the meta is also fairly low. She is niche, but fills her designated role in a team very well.

Anemo Buffer for Anemo DPSes
Faruzan is the uncontested best support for On-Field Anemo DPSes who deal a majority of their damage as Anemo, such as Wanderer, Xiao and recently Venti after finishing his Witch's Homework. Her buffs help these DPSes reach their full potential, with her C6 being especially impactful in her best teams.
Pros and Cons of Support Faruzan
| Pros |
|---|
| - Easy to play. |
| - Provides a lot good buffs for Anemo DPSes even at C0. |
| - Doesn't require a lot of particular stats apart from Energy Recharge and ATK. |
| Cons |
| - High Energy Burst that leads to high Energy requirements. |
| - Pre-C6 Faruzan needs to hit a Charged Attack to reliably charge her Burst every rotation, which can be cumbersome in practice. |
| - Her C6 further increases her buffing power and eases Energy requirements, but getting a 4-Star's C6 can typically be hard to achieve with limited fund. |
Best Build for Faruzan
Faruzan will always want to ensure she gets as much Energy Recharge as possible across all of her teams. See below for recommendations:
| Weapon | Favonius Warbow└ Elegy for the End becomes the superior choice at C6. |
|---|---|
| Best Artifact | Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City└ Tenacity of the Millelith is better when you have her C6. |
| Artifact Main Stats | Sands: Energy Recharge (ER) Goblet: Anemo DMG% └ Or use whichever goblet gives you the most ER. Circlet: CRIT Rate (for Favonius Warbow) |
| Priority Sub-Stat | Energy Recharge > CRIT Rate (for Favonius Warbow) > ATK% |

Stat Goals For Off-Field Support Faruzan
| Energy Recharge | C6: 180-200% with 2 Anemo teammates 170-185% with 3 Anemo teammates Pre-C6: 260%~ with 2 Anemo teammates 205%~ with 3 Anemo teammates |
|---|---|
| Crit Rate | At least 50%~ if using Favonius Warbow |
Always look to prioritize Faruzan's Energy Recharge as a stat, even if you have to resort a mix of 2-piece sets. This is because, at the end of the day, her utility as a Buffer is tied entirely to her Elemental Burst, and her usability drops if you can't trigger her Burst consistently.

Best Weapon for Faruzan
Faruzan will prefer to have a weapon that can help her easily meet her high Energy requirements. See below for the recommendations:
Premium Weapons for Off-Field Support Faruzan
| Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
|---|---|---|
| Best | Favonius Warbow | Get from Banners - The best Energy-based weapon thanks to its Energy Recharge Secondary stat and its passive providing Energy after the equipping character hits a CRIT. - CRIT Rate Circlet and some CRIT Rate sub-stats are recommended in order to reliably trigger the passive. - Best at R5. |
| 2nd | Elegy for the End | Get from Limited Banner - Strong buffing option if you're able to use Faruzan's Burst every rotation comfortably with artifacts alone or if you have Faruzan at C6. - Has an ER secondary stat that can help Faruzan to reach her high Energy requirements. - Provides EM and ATK% buffs to the party when his Skill or Burst hit enemies. |
| 3rd | Sacrificial Bow | Get from Banners - ER secondary stat helps Faruzan reach her desired Energy Recharge stat. - The passive seems good for Faruzan on paper, but the refreshed Hurricane Arrow doesn't generate Energy, which further lowers the overall ranking of this weapon. |
Most Off-Field Supports with high Energy requirements will prefer weapons Energy Recharge as a secondary stat. All the Favonius weapons are typically going to be the best in this category, and will often even beat premium options with more buffing power.
Free To Play Friendly (F2P Weapons) for Off-Field Support Faruzan
| Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
|---|---|---|
| Best F2P | Favonius Warbow | Complete Archon Quest Prologue 3 Quest - You can get 1 free copy of the Favonius Warbow after completing the quest titled 'A Long Shot' in the Archon Quest Prologue. - The best Energy-based weapon thanks to its Energy Recharge Secondary stat and its passive providing Energy after the equipping character hits a CRIT. - CRIT Rate Circlet and some CRIT Rate sub-stats are recommended in order to reliably trigger the passive. |
| 2nd | End of the Line | Get from Fishing - ER secondary stat again can help Faruzan get her Elemental Burst charged up every rotation. - The passive isn't useful for Faruzan, so this weapon is simply a stat-stick until you manage to get something better. |
| 3rd | Fading Twilight | Reward From Past Event (Perilous Trail) - Secondary stat is ER, so it's good enough for Faruzan if you happen to have it. - It's passive is more DMG oriented, which Faruzan will typically not have much of. - Like the End of the Line, this weapon should be treated as a temporary choice until you can secure a better weapon for Faruzan. - No longer obtainable if you didn't participate in the event. |
For Free-to-Play options, the free copy of Favonius Warbow is still the preferred option over other weapons, simply due to the extra Energy you get from it's passive. Even at R1, the value you get from the weapon is going to feel better on Energy-hungry Supports like Faruzan.
All Weapon ListFaruzan Best Artifacts
Faruzan's Artifacts will depend on how many constellations of her's you've unlocked. See the recommendations below:
| Artifact | Recommendation Details |
|---|---|
Tenacity of the Millelith | ★★★★★ - Assuming you have her C6, giving Faruzan this set adds another layer of utility to her kit by letting her buff the party's ATK. - Set doesn't help with Energy, so pre-C6 Faruzan will favor a different set. - All the On-Field Anemo DPSes scale with ATK, so you don't need to switch off of this set if you happen to use multiple Anemo DPSes. |
2-pc. Energy Recharge Any piece with ER | ★★★★・ - If your Faruzan isn't C6, it may be best to forego having a complete 4-piece set and opt into assembling any pieces with high Energy Recharge rolls in order to meet her stat goals. - You can choose to pair 2-piece Emblem with any other Artifacts to get her desired ER breakpoint, or you can also just forget about having any set bonus entirely if it helps you get enough ER. |
Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City | ★★★・・ - Another set that is better with C6 or if you're able to have a Natlan character in the party. - Despite not having a Nightsoul Burst, Faruzan can still activate the first half of the passive easily, which gives 12% Elemental DMG bonus. |
Noblesse Oblige | ★★★・・ - If the team doesn't already have a Noblesse holder, Faruzan can use it instead. - Works even without C6 needed, but the 4-piece bonus isn't going to help Faruzan at all unless you're able to roll lots of ER sub-stats on her pieces. |

Energy Recharge Is Her Most Important Stat
Faruzan's buffing power is limited to her Burst as previously stated. It's important for her teams to get her to use her Burst every rotation, so prioritize getting her ER stat to its required threshold over anything else, even if you need to sacrifice set bonuses for it.

Faruzan's Anemo RES shred and Anemo DMG Bonus buffs are well appreciated by Venti when he's played as the On-Field DPS following his Hexerei buffs. She's especially potent with her C6 that lets her give CRIT DMG to Anemo DPSes, and becomes irreplaceable for On-Field Venti at that constellation level.

Team Rotation of Faruzan and Combos
Basic Team Rotation for Off-Field Support Faruzan
| Basic Rotation For Off-Field Support Faruzan |
|---|
| 1.Start with the supports with longer ability durations if there are any. If any Sub-DPS or DPS needs to deploy their abilities first as part of their mechanic, such as Durin sometimes, then ensure they do so beforehand. 2. Swap to Faruzan. Use her Skill, Charged Attack (x1), then use her Burst. 3. Swap to any other supports that need to apply their abilities after if there are. 4. Swap to the main On-Field DPS to execute their primary damage combo. 5. Repeat from Step 1. |
When forming a rotation, you typically want to deploy the supports with longer ability durations before the shorter ones. Most of the time Faruzan will be the very first one to execute her combo or near the middle, just before the support with the shortest duration. This is especially true if you have her C2, which increases her Burst's duration.
Basics Of Using Faruzan

Faruzan is the dedicated
Apply Buffs Using Burst
Most of Faruzan's innate buffs, which are Anemo RES shred and additional Anemo DMG bonus, are applied once she activates her Elemental Burst. She needs 80 Energy to deploy her Burst, which is considered pretty high for an Off-Field Support. Because of this, Faruzan naturally wants a lot of Energy Recharge (ER) so she can continuously use her Burst without downtime.
Gain Energy Through Skill and Charged Attack

Faruzan can gain Energy by using her Skill and by hitting a Charged Attack while in her Manifest Gale state. Since her Charged Attack, which is an important part of her comb, can often miss, her gameplay can feel a little clunky and time-consuming.
Equipping her with an Energy weapon, having a lot of ER on her artifacts, pairing her with two Anemo teammates or having Faruzan's C6 all help to mitigate the issue with the high Energy cost for her Elemental Burst.
Elemental Skill, Burst and Abilities Guide for Faruzan
How To Use Faruzan's Skills & Passives
Core Anemo Support for Anemo DPS
| Basic Rotation Of Faruzan |
|---|
| 1.Start with the supports that have longer ability durations. 2. Switch to Faruzan. Start with her Skill to enter Manifest Gale state. 3. Aim and shoot a Charged Attack as Faruzan, then use her Burst. 4. Swap to supports with shorter ability durations. 5. Switch to your On-Field DPS to do their main damage combo. 6. Repeat from Step 1 after other abilities have expired. |
Faruzan wants to use at least 1 Charged Attack every rotation to reliably get enough Energy to use her Burst every rotation. Her gameplay loop is extremely simple otherwise.
Elemental Skill Activates Manifest Gale State
| Icon | Elemental Skill Summary |
|---|---|
Wind Realm of Nasamjnin | - Faruzan deploys a polyhedron, dealing AoE Anemo DMG and entering Manifest Gale state. - In Manifest Gale, her next fully charged shot becomes a Hurricane Arrow, consuming the state and dealing Anemo DMG based on a fully charged Parthian Shot. Pressurized Collapse: - Hurricane Arrow applies Pressurized Collapse, which detonates after a short delay into a vortex. - The vortex deals AoE Anemo DMG and pulls in nearby enemies and objects. - If no target is hit, the effect triggers at the arrow’s impact point. - Vortex DMG is considered Elemental Skill DMG. |
Faruzan enters Manifest Gale state after activating her Skill. This gives her Charged Attacks a suction effect after it collides with an enemy or surface, which is called Pressurized Collapse. The Pressurized Collapse is the focal point of one of her passives and some of her Constellations as well.
Elemental Burst Shreds Res and Buffs Party
| Icon | Elemental Burst Summary |
|---|---|
The Wind's Secret Ways | - Faruzan deploys a Dazzling Polyhedron, dealing AoE Anemo DMG and releasing a Whirlwind Pulse. - While active, the Polyhedron moves along a triangular path, unleashing an additional Whirlwind Pulse at each corner. Whirlwind Pulse Effects: - Applies Perfidious Wind’s Bale, reducing enemies’ Anemo RES. - Grants nearby party members Prayerful Wind’s Benefit, increasing Anemo DMG Bonus. |
Faruzan's Elemental Burst is where she applies the Anemo RES shred and Anemo DMG bonus for her teammates, so she needs to be built around it. This ability has an 80 Energy cost, so her ideal Energy Recharge stat is naturally higher than other supports, so its best to focus getting artifacts pieces that can meet these requirements.
Passives Increase Her Utility
| Icon | Passive Summary |
|---|---|
Impetuous Flow | - While in Manifest Gale (from Skill), Faruzan’s charged shot charge time is reduced by 60%. - Opponents hit by the Pressurized Collapse vortex will also be affected by Perfidious Wind’s Bale (Anemo RES shred). |
Lost Wisdom of the Seven Caverns | - When characters affected by Prayerful Wind’s Benefit (Anemo DMG Bonus buff) deal Anemo DMG (via Normal, Charged, Plunging Attacks, Skills, or Bursts), they trigger Hurricane Guard. - Hurricane Guard increases that DMG based on 32% of Faruzan’s Base ATK. Can trigger once every 0.8s. - The DMG Bonus is removed after it triggers once or when Prayerful Wind’s Benefit expires. |
Her passives help enhance her usability as a support. The first passive makes using her enhanced Charged Attack after using her Skill faster and more rewarding, since it applies her Anemo RES shred. The second passive provides a small DMG bonus whenever any party member deals damage.
Best Paired With Anemo DPSes
Faruzan's best niche is being a dedicated buffer for Anemo DPSes whose DPS is primarily Anemo DMG. Because of this, she has limited use-cases, but she also has no real competition as a result. Most of the above DPSes greatly appreciate Faruzan in their teams if they want to maximize their damage potential, especially if you have her C6.
Constellations Help Lower Energy Requirements
| Icon | Constellation Summary |
|---|---|
Overzealous Intellect | The duration of the Dazzling Polyhedron created by The Wind's Secret Ways is increased by 6s. |
Divine Comprehension | - Pressurized Collapse vortex restores Energy to Faruzan based on enemies hit. - Hitting 1 opponent restores 2 Energy. Each additional opponent hit restores 0.5 additional Energy. - Can restore up to 4 Energy per vortex. |
The Wondrous Path of Truth | - Characters affected by Prayerful Wind’s Benefit (Anemo DMG Bonus buff) gain additional 40% CRIT DMG when dealing Anemo DMG. - When the active character deals DMG while affected, they apply Pressurized Collapse to the target. - This effect can trigger once every 3s and the cooldown is shared across the party. |
The value provided by her Constellations ranges from easing her Energy Requirements, increasing her Burst duration, as well as provide a CRIT DMG buff to her party members that deal Anemo DMG, after using her Burst.
While C0 Faruzan is usable, C6 Faruzan is a significant boost for your Anemo DPS, so it's best to try and aim to get as much Faruzan Constellations as possible, with the goal being to get her to C6.

Clunky to use When Below C6
Faruzan is a top-class character at C6. However, below it you may face energy issues and clunkiness when setting up her Anemo Buffs. When pulling for Faruzan, it is recommended to aim for C6. If you do not have enough pulls or want to save, stopping at C2 is also good.

While in the Manifest Gale state, Faruzan's next fully charged shot will consume this state and will become a Hurricane Arrow that contains high-pressure currents.
