Primary Antagonists
| Main Boss | Strategy Recommended Character |
|---|---|
[ Act 3 ]: Maguu Kenki: Phantom Blade | Strategy: - The Maguu Kenki has strong AoE and single-target attacks that can easily stagger and even one-shot the On-Field character. You can avoid getting constantly hit by these attacks by making use of a shielder or time your usage of invincibility frames (i-frames) found in dodging (the first time you dash) and in an Elemental Burst's animation. - The boss tends to dash towards the opposite of end of the arena. Try to deploy abilities that force you to be stationary only after using its dash. - Any decently built On-Field DPS that can either make use of a shielder (if you aren't good at dodging), has strong resistance to interruption, or isn't limited to being stationary should be able to comfortably clear this stage since it doesn't have special resistances. Recommended Characters: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
[ Act 6 ]: Battle-Hardened Primordial Bathysmal Vishap | Strategy: - The Vishap will eventually put up a Hydro shield and a small area around itself that increases its resistance to every damage type. Staying within its field will slowly drain 10 Energy from the active character, which can result in them taking damage once they have less than 10 Energy. - Exhausting its Hydro shield renders it vulnerable, allowing you to unleash your damage combo unto it freely. Dendro deals the most damage to its shield, so bringing an On-Field DPS or team whose damage is mostly Dendro will be the ideal way of clearing this act. Recommended Characters: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
[ Act 8 ]: Knuckle Duckle | Strategy: - The Knuckle Duckle summons a group of Stamping Devices (ducks) and gains a shield once combat begins. These Stamping Devices will attack the On-Field Character. - Dealing Electro-Charged or Lunar-Charged damage to make quick work of the Stamping Devices, causing them to turn on the Knuckle Duckle and deal damage to its shield. You can also brute force this part by dealing enough damage DPS to destroy the devices directly. - Once the boss' shield is destroyed, it becomes temporarily paralyzed, which is when you should start dealing the bulk of your damage. Recommended Characters: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
[ Act 10 ]: Emperor of Fire and Iron | Strategy: - The Emperor has two horns on its head that, when it executes certain attacks, are low enough for abilties to reach it. When this happens, attack the horns to trigger Elemental Reactions to exhaust the Emperor's Pyro 'shield'. - Hydro is the most effective element to break its Horns. Electro is the next best option, but it will be significantly slower. - After you deal with its horns, the boss is rendered vulnerable and will cease attacking. Use this window of opportunity to deal as much damage as possible. - The Emperor will eventually burrow underground after recovering from its horns being broken, later resurfacing with its horns and Pyro shield regenerated. Arcana Challenges
| Main Boss | Strategy Recommended Character |
|---|---|
[ Chall. I ]: Shadowy Husk: Standard Bearer Shadowy Husk: Line Breaker Shadowy Husk: Defender | Strategy: - This challenge pits you against waves of enemies with all party members continuously losing HP over time. - The objective is to survive until the counter ends, with each enemy defeated taking time off the countdown. - It's best to bring a healer or an On-Field DPS with viable self-sustain in their kit. Recommended Characters: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (with C1) |
[ Chall. II ]: Perpetual Mechanical Array | Strategy: - After taking a certain amount of damage, the Array will enter a state where it becomes immune. It also summons Ruin Sentinels, with one being an 'enhanced' sentinel. - The enhanced sentinel is marked by an orange ring circling it. Defeat the enhanced sentinel to paralyze the Array and render it vulnerable. It's recommended to unload your entire damage combo while the Array is downed. - This boss has a lot of moves that can easily stagger the On-Field character if they don't have a shield. Dodge appropriately or time the usage of your Elemental Bursts for the invincibility frames. Recommended Characters: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Imaginarium Theater Gameplays & Tips

| Procedure | |
|---|---|
| 1 | ▼ Preparation Phase - Select characters that you will use in the performances. - There are 2 types: Opening Cast & Alternate Cast |
| 2 | ▼ Challenge Phase - Select special events and buffs. - Complete combat performances. |
| 3 | Finalization Phase - Obtain rewards |
Preparation Phase
6 Characters Will Be Pre-Selected As Opening Characters

At the start of the Preparation Phase, specific characters will be assigned as opening characters. You cannot choose any character outside the assigned one but if you do not have the character, a Trial version of the character can also be selected.
Select Trial Version If Your Character Is Not Properly Built

If you are not confident about your build for the character, select the Trial character version of that character as the power of the Trial character is enough to clear stages.
For Alternate Cast, You Can Only Use Specific Elements Or Special Guest Stars

After choosing Opening Characters, you will select 12 Alternate Cast. You can only choose the characters that belongs to the element specified for that month. The Special Guest Stars are exception to this rule and they can be chosen as an Alternate Cast.
You Can Add 1 Supporting Cast From Friend's Character

You can also borrow one 'Supporting Cast' from your Friends which will serve as Alternate Cast. The Support Cast will have the same Constellation and Build from your Friends's profile so it is also a decent way to try higher constellation characters (If your friends have one).
Search for friends on the Supporting Cast Thread below:

When Selecting Characters, Balance Between Supports & Damage Characters
Because you cannot manually select which Alternate Cast will appear to use, you need to balance between healers and damage dealers. Since you can choose 12 Alternate Cast, 4 per roles: DPS, Sub-DPS, and Sustain is ideal.
New Visionary Mode Provides A Challenge
Visionary Mode is a new difficulty added which is even more challenging than Hard Mode. To unlock this, simply complete the Hard Mode of the Normal Difficulty series in any season of the Imaginarium Theater.
| Visionary Mode Requirement |
|---|
| - Required number of characters: 22 - Additional characters available: 4 - Character has reached Lv. 70 - You can invite 1 Supporting Cast character |

Challenge Phase
Types Of Event Cards
| Type | Effect |
|---|---|
| Companion | - Allows you to add the Alternate Cast to the selection (Depending on Kind). ↳ Alternate Cast can only be selected by losing all vigors of an Opening Cast's vigor. |
| Battle | - Battle challenge that will progress the Act. - Can be a Boss, Defense, Elite or Normal. |
| Wondrous Boon | - Gives Buffs / additional effect to characters. |
| Mystery Cache | - Gives Buff or gives Companion cards. - Sometimes have negative effects. |
Do A Combat Event To Progress

To progress the act in the Challenge Phase, you need to complete one Battle challenge. Doing other non-combat events will not progress the act so using all of your points to invite characters or gain buff is recommended.
Mystery Cache Sometimes Have Negative Effects
While not always, Mystery Cache sometimes have effects that makes the challenge more difficult. Make sure to read the effects thoroughly before choosing Event Cards.
Characters Used In Battle Events Lose Vigor

Each character will have 2 Vigor at the start of each performance in Imaginarium Theater. They will lose a Vigor every time they complete a battle challenge.
If they lose all 2 Vigors, the character cannot be selected and will not appear in the character selection screen. While random, the vigor is sometimes restored by getting specific Event Cards.
Boss Battle Happens Every Act 3, 6, and 8
Every 3rd, 6th and 8th act, you will be facing a boss battle. The line-up of bosses that you will face in these acts changes depending on the season. For tips and quick look on the boss line-up click ▲ here.
Take Note On The Performance Goals Before Starting The Battle

There are specific battle conditions to complete for rewards or additional event points. If you are just playing for the reward, clearing the first challenge per act is enough to get all rewards. At the earlier acts, doing the Bonus Challenge is important for more boons.
Star Challenges Is Mostly For Character Profile

For Star Challenges, if you are only aiming for reward, you do not need to force yourself to get all of them since they are just for Profile Showcase.
