To maximize the strength of the shields of Layla, it is important to increase HP. Weapons that increase HP stats or provides support to the team is recommended.

Best	Key Of Khaj-Nisut	HP 66.2% (Lvl. 90) - Great HP Buff of 80%. - Increases the Elemental Mastery of the team that scales from HP. - Layla is able to greatly maximize its effects enabling high DMG, sturdy shields and buff to the team.
2nd	Freedom-Sworn	Elemental Mastery 198 (Lvl. 90) - Provides buff to the team making Layla an amazing support. - Great Elemental Mastery Stick enabling powerful reactions from Layla. - Does not help with the shields and DMG of Layla but helps DPS because of ATK buff from the weapon.
3rd	The Dockhand's Assistant	HP 41.3% (Lvl. 90) - Greatly increases HP. - Effect increases EM and Energy for higher Burst time.
4th	Sacrificial Sword	Energy Recharge 61.3% (Lvl. 90) - Allows you to spam Elemental Skill through the Cooldown reset. - Great Energy Recharge buff so you do not need to invest on it through artifacts.
5th	Primordial Jade Cutter	CRIT Rate 44.1% (Lvl. 90) - Increases HP by a percentage increasing Layla's DMG. - Very high CRIT Stats. - Great for Layla who's part of DMG comes from ATK and HP.
6th (F2P)	Harbinger Of Dawn	CRIT DMG 46.9% (Lvl. 90) - Great CRIT Rate and Damage buff for the character. - Easy to R5 because it is a 3 star weapon - Does not help in sturdiness of the shield but increases DMG of Layla alot. - HP restrictions on the CRIT Rate bonus is its down side.
7th	Favonius Sword	Energy Recharge 61.3% (Lvl. 90) - Able to provide additional Energy Particles for the team. - Since Layla is Cryo, investment on CRIT is not required in certain comps. - Does not help much on increasing the durability of her shields.
8th (F2P)	Festering Desire	Energy Recharge 45.9% (Lvl. 90) - Increases the off-field DMG that comes from Elemental Skill. - Energy Recharge is great for up-time of Elemental Burst. - Free but only available via an old Event.

Layla's kit, at low constellations, does not provide much buffs to the characters. It is recommended to use Artifacts that provides additional buff to the team with their effects. Tenacity Of The Millelith artifact works especially well because it also buffs the HP of Layla while increasing Shield Strength and ATK of the team.
