What Are On-Field Characters?
Characters That Require Being On Field To Attack
On-Field Characters have Skills or Bursts that require them to be on the field. Often, these attacks are canceled once you switch out to another character on the team.
Characters That Spend Most Time As The Active Character
Because of how their kits work, these characters are those that spend the most time as the active character of the party. This will allow them to deal damage with their kit while their Sub-DPS's skills are active.
Either Driver Or Main DPS
As the on-field character, they often act as the Main DPS of the party. They can act as either main DPS or the driver to proc reactions.
On-Field Characters
Some Characters Can Only Be On-Fielders
There are some characters whose whole kit fits that of an on-fielder and cannot work as anything besides that. These are characters whose abilities expire or are canceled when they switch out.
