Base Stats

Vesna is a 5-star, On-Field Anemo Sword user in Genshin Impact. She does most of her damage after entering her enhanced state by activating her Skill. In this state, her attacks gain an Anemo infusion, and she can build stacks of Sword Essence that will let her use her special Elemental Skill after generating enough Sword Essence.

Vesna's special Skill will summon a Spirit Blade once she uses it at least twice. The Spirit Blade will deal Stellar Swirl DMG if Vesna is in the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state.

On-Field DPS for Stellar Swirl

Vesna is an On-Field Anemo damage dealer who is presented as a dedicated Stellar Swirl DPS. She uses her Elemental Skill to enter an enhanced state, allowing her to deal Anemo DMG with her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks while stacking a unique resource called Sword Essence.

After gaining a stack of Sword Essence, Vesna will gain access to her special Elemental Skill, which is her primary source of damage.

Convert Cryo Swirl Into Stellar Swirl

Vesna is one of the few characters with a Stellar Linchpin instead of a normal elemental Vision. Like other Stellar Linchpin users, having her in the party converts a specific reaction into its Stellar variant. In her case, Vesna will turn any Cryo Swirl triggered into Stellar Swirl. Additionally, she will also increase the Base DMG dealt by the reaction according to her ATK stat.

Enter Radiance States Through Stellar Reactions

Radiance: Stellar Swirl State
Cryo + Anemo	When Stellar Swirl is triggered, it creates a Stellar Vortex near the affected enemy. The Vortex will explode, dealing Cryo DMG, at a set interval. Every time the Stellar Swirl happens, the level and damage of the Vortex and its ensuing explosion is increased. Triggering the reaction the first time also causes the party to enter the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state.

After triggering Stellar Swirl the first time, everyone in the party enters a state called Radiance: Stellar Swirl. This state by itself does not give a general buff, but is an important requirement to trigger specific effects on a certain character's ability. The additional bonuses or enabled abilities granted by the Radiance state vary from character to character.

For Vesna, being in the Radiance state lets her Spirit Blades deal direct Stellar Swirl DMG.

Summon Spirit Blades Using Skill

When Vesna activates her Elemental Skill, she enters a mode or stance called Armed for Action and gains a resource called Sword Essence whenever she hits enemies with her now Anemo-infused Normal, Charged, and Plunging attacks.

Once she gains enough Sword Essence, Vesna will be able to use her special Elemental Skill called Windborne Sword.

Spirit Blade Occurs After Using Elemental Skill Twice

Every time Vesna uses her special Skill, it will increase the level of the special Skill by 1. The 2nd and 3rd levels are when the special Skill generates or summons a Spirit Blade to attack alongside Vesna. The Spirit Blade will initially deal Anemo DMG whenever Vesna hits an enemy.

If Vesna is in the, Radiance: Stellar Swirl state, which she always will be if you use her in a proper team with the right rotation, then any Spirit Blade created will instead deal direct Stellar Swirl DMG.

Gain Sword Essence Through Abilities

To use her special Skill, Vesna needs to generate Sword Essence by activating abilities or hitting enemies. This means her core gameplay loop will consist of her entering her Armed for Action Skill mode, using Normal Attacks to build Essence, and then using her special Skill whenever possible.

Burst Also Creates Spirit Blades

Once activated, Vesna's Elemental Burst summons multiple Spirit Blades before attacking a nearby opponent. While in Radiance: Stellar Swirl, the same effect applies, wherein these Spirit Blades will now deal Stellar Swirl DMG.

Stack Disciplinary Action for More Damage

Apart from Sword Essence, Vesna has an additional stacking resource called Disciplinary Action, which is tied to her first Ascension passive. Whenever she uses her special Skill or her Burst, she gains a stack of Disciplinary Action.

These stacks will increase the damage dealt by the Spirit Blade based on the current total that Vesna has. She can stack up to six (6) Disciplinary Actions, which will then reset after you swap out of Vesna or if you use her regular Elemental Skill again.

Stellar Jubilee Passive Description

Stellar Jubilee: Splendid Prelude

When party members trigger Cryo Swirl, it will be changed to a Stellar Swirl reaction, and party members' Base DMG for the Stellar Swirl will be increased based on Vesna's ATK. Every 100 ATK she has increases the Base Stellar Swirl DMG by 0.7%. The maximum DMG increase that can be gained this way is 14%. After a party member triggers a Stellar Swirl reaction nearby, Vesna enters the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state for 8s.

Stellar Vortex Description
When Anemo meets Cryo, and certain other conditions are met, a special Stellar Swirl reaction is triggered. This deals an instance of Anemo DMG to the opponent and generates a Stellar Vortex. Triggering Stellar Swirl multiple times raises the level of the Stellar Vortex, which explodes after a certain time or after a certain number of Stellar Swirl reactions have been triggered. This deals AoE Cryo DMG to nearby opponents. The aforementioned DMG can CRIT.
Up to one Stellar Vortex can exist on the field within a certain range. A Stellar Vortex on the field will level up to Lv. 2 after a certain number of Stellar Swirl reactions have been triggered. A higher-level Vortex deals more AoE Cryo DMG to opponents over a wider area when it explodes. After a Stellar Swirl reaction is triggered, certain nearby characters will also enter the Radiance: Stellar Swirl effect for 8s, which enhances certain Talents and skill effects. Certain characters can use their Talents to deal Stellar Swirl reaction DMG to opponents. This DMG can trigger CRIT Hits.
When the Stellar Vortex explodes, it will also grant nearby characters the ability to jump higher once, for a short time.

Vesna has an Anemo Stellar Linchpin, and like other characters with the same vision type, this means she can convert a triggered Cryo-related reaction into a Stellar Variant, which is Stellar Swirl.

After she or a nearby party member triggers Stellar Swirl, Vesna can enter this state to start dealing direct Stellar Swirl DMG through her Elemental Skill. Additionally, her Stellar Jubilee passive (like other similar passives) will increase the base damage dealt by Stellar Swirl based on Vesna's ATK.

Vesna has multiple stacking resources in her kit, which she will generate perpetually as she uses her abilities and hits enemies. One of those stacks is called Sword Essence, and is what allows her to special Elemental Skill so long as she is in her Skill stance or mode.

One of Vesna's Ascension passives rewards her with a stat increase depending on the current elemental lineup of her team. While having extra Elemental Mastery is nice, it's still recommended to build Vesna's team with two Cryo characters (for application and Cryo Resonance) and an additional Anemo teammate (for Energy particles) for the best results.

This passive gives Vesna even more incentive to build her teams that way, especially since Stellar Swirl doesn't have a dedicated ATK% buffer like Stellar Conduct through Alyosha.

Max 6 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others'. When she has Disciplinary Action stacks active, the Spirit Blade summoned by Vesna will deal DMG at 100% of original DMG + (10% × Disciplinary Action stack count) instead. All active stacks of Disciplinary Action are cleared when Vesna uses the Elemental Skill The Art of Victory or when she leaves the field.

The other Ascension passive that Vesna has will further buff the damage dealt by her Spirit Blade each time she executes her special Elemental Skill and/or Elemental Burst.

The Disciplinary Action stacks further reinforce her 'ramp-up' type gameplay since she needs to generate the stacks first before gaining the buff.

Holding on Sprint or Jump when Vesna is not in combat will cause her to enter the Coursing state. Coursing Continuously consumes Stamina to hover in mid-air. Sprinting or tapping Jump to go higher expends additional Stamina. Including the hold on Jump that triggers Coursing, Vesna can go higher up to 3 times in each instance of the Coursing state. Additionally, in Snezhnaya (excluding Nod-Krai), when Vesna is switched onto the field while the currently active party member is in mid-air and not in combat, she will immediately enter the Coursing state and regenerate 50 Stamina. Unlike other characters, Vesna's Sprint and Jump can be replaced by a special state where she uses her wings to fly. This state consumes regular stamina, and can travel a decent amount of distance which is perfectly suited for exploration and fast travel.

This mechanic also has a feature similar to Natlan character where switching into her from any other airborne party member will cause her to immediately start flying.

Vesna's C2 Is Her Strongest Constellation

Vesna's DPS gains a notable boost through her C2, which makes it so that she gains the maximum amount of stacks from her Rite of Spring's Procession passive as soon as she enters her Skill state. This means the peak of her damage comes online immediately, eliminating the ramp up time she'd normally take at baseline investments. It also ties in well with her C1 that lets her use the highest level of her special Skill more times than usual.

It's because of this reason that, if you have enough wishes for it, getting Vesna's C2 is her strongest personal vertical investment option outside of going all the way to C6.

Vesna's Signature Weapon Offers Substantial Stat Boosts

While getting Vesna's C2 results in the most notable damage gain, it comes with a steep cost that most players may not have readily available. If you cannot guarantee her C2, then you can consider getting her Signature Weapon instead, especially if the other weapon on the banner is of some use to you.

It's still going to be Vesna's best-in-slot by far, and the value further increases if your only options are 4-star swords. It's passive that gives a sizeable CRIT DMG buff is also fairly accessible to most On-Field sword DPSes as well, so it has the added benefit of being somewhat universal.

Who Is Vesna?

Commander of the Druzhna

Vesna is the official Commander of the Druzhna, the force wielded by the Tsaritsa herself. She is also a member of the ancient Strivozha clan, a Vila bloodline that has existed since long before Snezhnaya's early history.

She achieved this position through her own skills and accomplishments, which came off as a surprise considering how young she seems, at least by Fae standards.

Loyal to the Tsaritsa and Snezhnaya

Vesna is known as the Snowy Banquet's Sharp Blade and is described as the keenest edge of the Druzhna. Despite being relatively young among the Vila, she has already earned a strong reputation through her accomplishments and remains unwavering in her faith in the Tsaritsa and Snezhnaya.

She works closely beside the Tsaritsa alongside Danica.

A Free Spirit

Vesna is described as radiant and graceful, with an effortless refinement and quiet poise. However, she is also a free spirit who refuses to be bound by the norms of polite society, which can lead to surprising antics such as driving trains at reckless speeds or secretly placing sour lemon slices on a colleague's plate.

One of Capitano's Mentees

Vesna was revealed to have been taught combat by Capitano alongside Danica. The two seem to share a close bond as a result.
