Beyond The Chrysalis Effect / Skill
Weapon Skill: Dance of Wings Unbound
- Each time the equipping character uses their Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst, they gain one of the following three effects in sequence:
- Winds of Devotion: Increases the equipping character's CRIT DMG by 56% for 10s.
- Winds of Defiance: Increases Stellar Swirl Reaction DMG dealt by the equipping character by 36% for 10s.
- Winds of Plenty: Regenerates 5 Elemental Energy for the equipping character. Up to 5 Elemental Energy can be regenerated in this way every 4s.
- The aforementioned effects are removed and the sequence is reset when the equipping character leaves the field.

Characters That Can Use Beyond The Chrysalis

| Vesna | - Signature weapon of Vesna. - Vesna takes full advantage of all three buffs in her Stellar Swirl teams. - The weapon supplies a substantial amount of CRIT DMG through main stat plus passive. - Energy Regen effect provides some leeway to prioritize CRIT or ATK sub-stats on her Artifacts over ER. |
| Clorinde | - Clorinde can make use of 2 out of the 3 buffs (CRIT DMG and Energy regen) given by the passive just by activating her Skill and Burst. |
| Skirk | - Skirk has no use for Energy and Stellar Swirl buffs, but the generous amount of CRIT DMG she can get from this weapon just by using Skill or Burst still makes it a decent option for her. |
| Alhaitham | - A strong stat-stick for Alhaitham just for the CRIT DMG increase from the main-stat and passive. - Energy Regen effect is also appreciated since some of Alhaitham's combos does want you to use his Burst, and this will also afford you more room to focus on CRIT and EM sub-stats on his Artifacts instead of ER. |
| Kamisato Ayaka | - Another strong CRIT DMG weapon for Ayaka even if she can't make use of the Stellar Swirl buff. - The Energy Regen effect is especially good for Ayaka whose DPS is heavily tied to her Elemental Burst. - Since Ayaka's Skill CD is 10s, she should be able to manage to cycle through all three buffs in a normal rotation. |
| Kamisato Ayato | - As a traditional DPS, Ayato will still benefit from the weapon's generous CRIT DMG buff from its main-stat and passive, especially since it only requires the equipping character to use Skill or Burst. - Since Ayato typically has long field time, you can opt into using a shortened combo instead. |
| Lynette | - On-Field DPS Lynette when built properly has potential to be viable, and this weapon with its high CRIT DMG increase should be a strong option for this playstyle. |
| Keqing | - A viable offensive weapon for Keqing where she can gain a decent DPS increase through the CRIT DMG main stat and the CRIT DMG buff on the passive. - Since each of the three buffs last for 10 seconds, and then resets upon a swap, Keqing should have the CRIT DMG buff active most of the time (especially since a lot of her teams are Quickswap oriented). |
| Kaeya | - Kaeya can cycle through all three buffs on the passive thanks to his low Skill cooldown, so he will be able to take advantage of the CRIT DMG and Energy Regen buffs in a normal rotation, so long as he's the On-Field DPS. |
