Mika doesn't have a current best team as of the moment due to his overall buffing value being lackluster in comparison to other Cryo Supports. He is, however, viable just as a generic healer if the team is flexible enough to include Mika.

Roles & Playstyle of Mika and His Strengths and Weakness
Off-Field Support Mika
Mika will typically be deployed as a support whose buffing value comes down to his ATK SPD buff and Physical DMG% bonus increase. There are very few actual teams that can make use of the Physical DMG% buff, but he can still be flexed into teams with a Normal Attack-based On-Field DPS or as a generic healer.
Pros and Cons of Off-Field Support Mika
| Pros |
|---|
| - Very easy to play. |
| - Can active Cryo Resonance, which provides CRIT Rate against enemies that are Frozen or have Cryo applied to them. |
| - Teamwide healing is decent sustain and can enable Furina. |
| Cons |
| - No real meta comp as a Physical team Support. |
| - Buffing value is low compared to other modern supports like Escoffier. |
| - Mostly a sidegrade rather than the first option for a lot of his teams. |

Thanks to his ATK SPD buffs, Mika has some synergy with Normal Attack-based DPSes. See below for our top recommendations:

| Energy Recharge (ER) | 160%-210%~ |
|---|---|
| CRIT Rate | at least 50%~ |
Expect Mika's energy requirements to be much higher (upwards of around 250% ER) if you aren't using a weapon with an energy-restoring passive. His 4th Constellation however, should still be his biggest non-weapon or Artifact-related Energy source, and it notably can decrease the amount of ER needed for him to use his Burst every rotation by around 50%.

Best Weapon for Mika
Mika typically plays a supportive role on the team, and this should be complemented by weapons that increase his utility value. See below for our top recommendations:
Premium Weapons for Mika
| Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
|---|---|---|
| Best | Favonius Lance | Get from Banners - Energy Recharge (ER) main-stat weapon lets Mika reach his Energy requirements a lot easier, and since he's a Burst-dependent character, this enables him to perform his intended role more efficiently. - Passive creates an Energy particle every time the equipped character triggers a CRIT hit, so Mika needs to have some CRIT Rate on his Artifacts to reliably activate the effect. - The Energy particles can be caught or consumed by his teammates, which can be considered bonus utility that Mika can contribute. - Best at Refinement Levell 5 (R5). |
| 2nd | Symphonist of Scents | Get from Limited Banners - After initiating healing, the passive effect applies an ATK% buff to the equipping character and teammates who received said healing. - Might be worth considering if Mika is paired with an ATK-based On-Field DPS, but you would need to have a lot of Energy Recharge (ER) on his Artifacts to make up for this weapon's lack of an ER main-stat. - While Mika's arguably best choice for maximum buffing value, you might have stronger supports that could make better use of this weapon and can offer a higher DPS increase for their team, such as Iansan or Chevreuse. |
| 3rd | Skyward Spine Engulfing Lightning | Get from Weapon Banners - Both of these 5-star polearms have Energy Recharge main-stats, making them viable options for Mika who depends on his Burst to activate his buffs. - Recommended if you do not have the Favonius Lance and aren't using these weapons on other characters. |
There aren't a lot of premium buffing weapons for polearm characters, especially for someone like Mika who has negligible personal damage to boost with offensive-type weapons. Because of this, it's hard to justify using other options over the Favonius Lance, especially if it's at Refinement Level 5, simply due to how much utility it brings to the team through the Energy particles it generates.
Free-to-Play Friendly (F2P Weapons) for Mika
| Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
|---|---|---|
| Best F2P (Event) | Dialogues of the Desert Sages | Reward From Past Event(Alchemical Ascension) - An HP% main-stat weapon with a passive that restores a flat amount of Energy to the equipping character after they perform any healing. - Synergizes with everything that Mika wants to achieve with his abilities since his healing scales with his Max HP and his buffs are tied to his 70 Energy cost Burst. - No longer obtainable if you didn't participate in the event. |
| 2nd | Rightful Reward | Fontaine Craftable (Forgeable) Weapon - HP% main stat helps to strengthen Mika's healing with his Burst. - Restores a specific amount of Energy once the equipping character is healed. - The overall Energy gained is lower than other weapons that provide the same benefit, such as the Favonius Lance. - Best at Refinement Level 5 (R5). |
| 3rd | Prototype Starglitter | Liyue Craftable (Forgeable) Weapon - An Energy Recharge main-stat craftable option that should be readily available for new players upon starting the game. - Can be your stop-gap option for Mika until you're able to secure a better polearm. |
For Free-to-Play options, the event reward from Alchemical Ascension event grants the most value thanks to its HP% increase and energy restoring passive. But Mika should still be able to function with any other craftable polearm that has an Energy Recharge main-stat.
All Weapon ListMika Best Artifacts
Mika's supportive value on a team should also account for the utility he can provide through his Artifact set, so a utility set is going to be a priority. See below for our top recommendations:
| Artifact | Recommendation Details |
|---|---|
Noblesse Oblige | ★★★★★ - Since he's a Burst-dependent character, this set's passive effect that gives an ATK% buff after the equipping character uses their Burst ties in well with Mika's intended rotation. - Ideal for ATK-scaling DPSes. |
Ocean-Hued Clam | ★★★・・ - Despite not having a buff tied to the effect, a full 4-piece set of these Artifacts lets Mika contribute a bit of Off-Field damage based on the total healing he can do, which also accounts overheals. - Can provide a modest team DPS increase, which is preferable over nothing if someone else on the team has the Noblesse set already equipped. |
2-piece Energy Recharge 2-piece HP% | ★★・・・ - Any mixed set that pair the stats that Mika wants the most can function as decent transitional sets while you aim for a stronger, full 4-piece set of his best-in-slot Artifact. |

Focus On His Energy Recharge (ER)
Mika doesn't usually want other offensive stats apart from CRIT Rate if he has the Favonius Lance equipped. You can focus solely on reaching his desired Energy Recharge stat, with his max HP being a much lower priority after you've secured enough ER.

Despite having a Physical DMG% buff, Mika's value in dedicated Physical teams is on the lower end in comparison to other more potent buffing supports like Furina. In Varka's team, Mika at least serves the purpose of enabling Varka's Ascension 1 Passive that increases the damage he deals, provided there are at least 2 characters that share an Elemental type between Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo characters.
Mika's ATK SPD buff is also a nice bonus for Varka since fitting in more Normal Attacks does produce a decent increase to his personal DPS.

| 1. Begin with other teammates with longer ability durations than Mika's buff duration. 2. Use Mika's Hold Skill to aim and hit, then use Elemental Burst 3. If there are any, rotate to other remaining teammates with shorter ability durations than Mika's buff duration. 4. Swap to your On-field character and continue with their combos and rotation 5. Repeat from Step 1. |
Mika's ATK SPD and Physical DMG% buffs only last 12 seconds. This isn't very long, so plan your support order accordingly.
Basics of Using Mika (Beginner Guide)

Physical DMG% and ATK SPD Buffer
Mika's kit design has him play the buffer and healer role on the team by granting the active character increased ATK SPD (Normal Attacks only) and Physical DMG% with his Skill, while his Burst provides healing for the entire party.
Apply ATK SPD Buff to Active Character With Skill

Mika's Skill has a tap and hold version. Tapping it fires a shot that pierces through enemies. The hold version creates a projectile that can hit an additional three enemies within a given range.
Both of them deal Cryo DMG to enemies and can activate the Soulwind state for all his teammates. This state provides certain buffs to the current on-field character depending on certain conditions stated by his Ascension 1 Passive, Suppressive Barrage.
Soulwind State Buffs Physical DMG%
After firing his tap or hold skill, Mika's Ascension 1 Passive will grant them 1 stack of Detector for each additional enemy hit after the initial target. A stack gives the active character with the Soulwind state increased Physical DMG%, up to a maximum of three stacks.
These stacks are reset if Mika fires his Skill again while the duration of Soulwind state is still ongoing.
Note! | Mika's hold Skill fires a Rimestar Flare that rises from the initial target hit, then attacks up to three nearby enemies. This is a little more reliable in terms of getting more than one Detector stack than his tap Skill. |
|---|
Burst Applies Healing

All of Mika's healing comes from his Elemental Burst. It'll first trigger a teamwide heal upon cast, and then apply the Eagleplume effect to the current character on the field. If said character with Eagleplume attacks enemies with their Normal Attacks, they will receive additional healing.
Other Passive Increases Detector Stacks Limit
Mika's Ascension 4 Passive, Topographical Mapping makes it so that any active character in the Soulwind state with the Eagleplume effect active gains one more Detector stack to their current total if they trigger a CRIT with any of their abilities. This passive also increases the maximum limit for these stacks to five.
Note! | Mika's last Constellation (C6) adds another +1 Detector stack to the total limit. |

How To Use Mika's Skills & Passives?
ATK SPD Support That Can Give Physical DMG% Buffs
| Basic Rotation of Mika |
|---|
| 1. Start the rotation with the supports that have a longer ability duration than Mika. 2. Swap to Mika. Use his Hold Skill, then Burst 3. Deploy any other support with shorter ability or buff durations than Mika if there are any. 4. Field your chosen DPS to execute their damage combo. 5. Repeat from Step 1. |
Everything that Mika wants to achieve as an ATK SPD and Physical DMG% buffing support can be achieved simply by activating his Skill (hold) before following it up with his Burst. He plays like any other traditional support that deploys their Skill and Burst before swapping out until the next rotation.
Attack Multiple Enemies With Skill
Elemental Skill Summary
| Icon | Elemental Skill Summary |
|---|---|
Starfrost Swirl | - Activates the Soulwind for all nearby party members. -The Soulwind state increases the ATK SPD of the on-field character. Tap: - Fires a Flowfrost Arrow. - Pierces through opponents. - Deals Cryo DMG to enemies hit. Hold: - Enters Aiming Mode. - Locks onto an opponent and fires a Rimestar Flare. - Deals Cryo DMG on hit. Rimestar Flare: - Rises into the air after hitting. - Explodes and launches Rimestar Shards. - Shards can target up to 3 additional opponents. - Deals Cryo DMG to affected enemies. |
Mika's Elemental Skill can hit multiple enemies regardless if you tap or hold it. This is relevant for his passive that applies his Physical DMG% buffs. It is almost always ideal to use the hold version since the Rimestar Flare effect has a larger effective range than the Flowfrost Arrow when it comes to targeting.
Note! | The ATK SPD buffs from Soulwind only affect Normal Attacks. |
|---|
Use Burst to Heal
Elemental Burst Summary
| Icon | Elemental Burst Summary |
|---|---|
Skyfeather Song | Upon activation: - Restores HP to all nearby party members based on Mika's Max HP. - Grants all nearby party members the Eagleplume effect. Eagleplume: While active: - When an affected active character's Normal Attack hits an opponent, Mika restores HP based on his Max HP. - This healing can only occur once per short interval for each affected character. |
Mika has decent overall value as a sustain considering the initial cast of his Burst applies the healing across the entire party. The lingering healing effect provided by the Eagleplume effect should also ensure that the on-field character can restore enough HP to full for better survivability.
Active Character Can Gain Detector Stacks
Ascension 1 Passive Description| Icon | Ascension 1 Passive Description |
|---|---|
Suppressive Barrage | Per the following circumstances, the Soulwind state caused by Starfrost Swirl (Skill) will grant characters the Detector effect, increasing their Physical DMG by 10% when they are on the field. ·If the Flowfrost Arrow hits more than one opponent, each additional opponent hit will generate 1 Detector stack. ·When a Rimestar Shard hits an opponent, it will generate 1 Detector stack. Each Rimestar Shard can trigger the effect 1 time. The Soulwind state can have a maximum of 3 Detector stacks, and if Starfrost Swirl is cast again during this duration, the pre-existing Soulwind state and all its Detector stacks will be cleared. |
Detector stacks are what grant the active character increased Physical DMG% Bonus. At base, these stacks have an upper limit of 3. But with Mika's Ascension 4 Passive and his C6, it can go as high as six stacks.
Note! | Detector stacks only apply to each enemy hit after the initial target. So if Mika's Skill attacks three enemies total, there will only be 2 Detector stacks accounted for. |
|---|
Detector Stack Limit Can Be Increased by One (+1)
Ascension 4 Passive Description| Icon | Ascension 4 Passive Description |
|---|---|
Topographical Mapping | When an active character affected by both Skyfeather Song's (Burst) Eagleplume and Starfrost Swirl's (Skill) Soulwind at once scores a CRIT Hit with their attacks, Soulwind will grant them 1 stack of Detector from the Ascension Talent Suppressive Barrage. During a single instance of Soulwind, 1 Detector stack can be gained in this manner. Additionally, the maximum number of stacks that can be gained through Soulwind alone is increased by 1. You must first unlock the Ascension Talent "Suppressive Barrage." |
This passive essentially raises the Detector stack cap by one, while making it easier to get to three in the first place by letting the on-field character generate the third stack after triggering a CRIT hit.
Should You Pull for Mika's Constellation Or Best Weapon?
Aim for C6 if You're Able To
| Constellation Priority |
|---|
| C6 > C4 > C2 |
C6 is Preferable for Physical Teams
While Mika at low constellation levels can be an okay sustain option that brings a few nice to have buffs, Physical teams would appreciate his presence more if his C6 activated, mostly due to the significant Physical Crit DMG bonus it provides. If you plan to include Mika in your Physical teams, then it's recommended to pull for C6 if you are able to. Otherwise, stopping anywhere between C0 and C4 is a viable option.
