A Hexenzirkel Witch
Alongside Alice, and Rhinedottir, Barbeloth (B) is a member of a group of witches called the Hexenzirkel. She is exceptional at astrology and went on to teach her students hydromancy to accurately divine fortunes. Barbeloth is implied to be powerful enough to ascertain the fates of individual nations or even Teyvat itself.

After Varka cleared the Witch Trials, Barbeloth showed him the future as a reward, which prompted him to start his journey outside of Mondstadt.
Mona's Master
Barbeloth, also known as "B", is widely known as Mona's master who taught her hydromancy-based astrology. Both have a habit of mentioning each other at every chance they get. Mona typically refers to Barbeloth as the "Old Hag".
The Goddess of Prophecy in Simulanka
During the World Quest "They Once Walked The Starry Sky", which was part of the Summertide Scales and Tales event story in Version 4.8, a statue of the Goddess of Prophecy was shown. This statue turned out to be Barbeloth in her prime. Mona also stated that her master has a good sense of fashion, based on an entry in B's diary.
Presides Over the Hexenzirkel Trial
Like Alice, Barbeloth also made her first physical appearance in the Interlude Chapter Act 4: Paralogism as a "Giant Dodoco" with a unique blue hat and tail. She oversaw the second Hexenzirkel trial, which Albedo and the Traveler had to pass for the mages to grant Albedo's request.
She disappeared following the completion of the trial.
