A Hexenzirkel WItch
Alongside Alice, and Rhinedottir, Barbeloth (B) is a member of a group of witches called Hexenzirkel. She is exceptional at astrology and would go on to teach her students the usage of hydromancy to accurately divine fortunes. Barbeloth is implied to be powerful enough to ascertain the fates of individual nations or even Teyvat itself.

Barbeloth "B" is widely known in the game as Mona's master who taught her hydromancy-based astrology. Both have a habit of mentioning the other at every chance they get. Mona typically refers to Barbeloth as "Old Hag" in the game.
The Goddess of Prophecy in Simulanka
During the world quest "They Once Walked The Starry Sky" that was part of the Summertide Scales and Tales event story (in version 4.8,), a statue of the Goddess of Prophecy was shown in the quest that turns out to be Barbeloth in her prime. Mona stated that her master has a good sense of fashion based on B's diary entry.
Presides Over the Hexenzirkel Trial
Like Alice, Barbeloth also makes her first physical appearance in the Interlude Chapter Act 4: Paralogism as a "Giant Dodoco" with a unique blue hat and tail. She oversees the second Hexenzirkel trial that Albedo and the Traveler must pass so that the mages may grant Albedo's request.
She disappears following the completion of the trial.
