Strengths & Weakness Of Nilou
Strengths |
---|
- Powerful Bloom reaction and amazing passive that increases Elemental Mastery of the team. - Great Hydro Application on-field or off-field. - Bloom Teams are amazing at group battles, with Nilou you can clear group battles in a second. - Leveling up talents is optional since its main source of damage are Blooms. |
Weakness |
- Very limited teams and weapon to use to maximize all of her kit. - Performs decently at best outside her own niche. - Very difficult for beginners to maximized since her team requires unique builds for characters. ↳ For end-game players, maximizing Nilou is fairly cheap because of not needing Talents for DMG. |

Prioritize Increasing HP
To maximize Nilou's passive, you need 75,000 HP. Once you reached 75,000HP, it is better to invest on EM instead of it. If you have the Key Of Khaj-Nisut, it is possible to reach 75,000HP without using 2 sets of 2-piece HP Artifacts. If that is the case, you can opt to use 2pc. HP Set and 2pc. EM Set.
Flower Of Paradise Lost Is Good But Not Good For HP Building
Flower Of Paradise Lost can also work on Nilou but it is not ideal since you will have difficulty increasing HP. If you have amazing HP% rolls that allows you to reach close to 70,000 HP in this artifact, you can also use this artifact.

Notes About Team Comps For Nilou
To maximize the passive of Nilou, you will need to fulfill the following requirements: First, all members must be Hydro or Dendro. Second, one slot for a healer is preferred.
All Members Of The Party Must Be Either Hydro Or Dendro
Nilou's passive restrict which element can you use for her teams. She can still be use outside these teams but she will perform better with Hydro and Dendro only teams because of the buff that she provides for the team. 2 Hydro and 2 Dendro Characters are recommended for resonance but the passive will still trigger even if there is an unequal amount of elements (e.g. 3 Hydro and 1 Dendro).
Healers Are Preferred
The Bloom explosions that Nilou triggers also hits the teammates so it is normal for your character's HP to decrease while using Bloom. This may cause losing all HP of the characters because of the amount of Blooms Nilou can trigger. To mitigate this, it is recommended to have one healer in the team. Using Kaveh, who heals from explosions from blooms can also be a good way to mitigate this damage.

Nilou Skill Guide & How To Use Nilou
How To Use Nilou?
Nilou Is A Support That Buffs Bloom Reaction
Nilou is a character that is focused on Bloom (Dendro + Hydro) reaction. Her ability requires you to use Dendro or Hydro party members only. Nilou has the power to greatly boost Bloom reaction that she can make even F2P characters deal very powerful damage.
You Can Only Use Hydro Or Dendro Characters & You Need Healers
Bountiful Cores from Nilou's ability, while very powerful, requires you to only have Hydro and Dendro in the team. Additionally, Bountiful Cores also deal damage to the characters on-field so a healer is needed.. Because of this, team comps that Nilou can use are very limited.

Using Whirling Steps (E. Skill 3 Times) Is The Common Choice When Using Nilou
Effects Of Nilou's Elemental Skill |
---|
[Whirling Steps] (Best!) - At the 3rd step of skill, use E. Skill button → Summons a Hydro ring. - Inflicts Wet status to enemies off-field. (12 sec.) [Sword Dance] - At the 3rd step of skill, use Normal Attack → Lunar Prayer effect gained. - Gains a 3-hit combo Hydro Attack.(8 sec.) └Power is not that good below C5. |
Nilou can enter different form when using Elemental Skill. This depends on which command you entered at the third step or combo: Normal Attack or Elemental Skill. For a support focused Nilou, just triple tapping Elemental Skill to activate Whirling Steps is recommended. If you want to add a bit more damage, you can opt to use Normal Attacks on the first and second combo of Elemental Skill.
Circling Between Skills Is Very Important For Nilou Comps
Sample Rotation |
---|
1. Start with Kokomi and use Elemental Skill 2. Switch to Nilou and use E. Burst (If available) and use E. Skill x3 3. Switch to Dendro Traveler then use E. Burst → E. Skill (for Energy) 4. Switch to Collei and use E. Burst →E. Skill (For energy) 5.Switch back to Kokomi use E. Burst then deal attacks → repeat from no. 1 |
For Nilou teams, the priority is to quickly produce bountiful blooms. Using Nilou's E. Skill → Dendro Off-Field Skill→Hydro Attacks is the common rotation for most of the team with Nilou allowing you to maximize the power of special blooms.
Particularly Amazing Against Multiple Enemies
Nilou especially shines battle with multiple enemies. Multiple Enemies allows Nilou team to produce plenty of blooms at a very fast pace. The more enemies are gathered, the more the bloom damage produced. However, Nilou teams are weaker against single target.
It Is Also Possible To Use Nilou As Vaporize DPS
Using the sword dance of E. Skill and Burst can provide decent damage. You can ignore the passive of Hydro and Dendro and use Nilou as a Vaporize DPS. However, there are many Hydro characters that can do this outside Nilou so it is not that recommended.

Effect |
---|
Enters the Pirouette state, dealing Hydro DMG to nearby opponents based on Nilou's Max HP.While she is in the Pirouette state, Nilou's Normal Attacks and Elemental Skill will cause her to enter the Sword Dance and Whirling Steps stances respectively, causing DMG she deals to be converted to Hydro DMG that cannot be overridden and that is considered Elemental Skill DMG. In these stances, Nilou's third dance step will end Pirouette, and has the following effects: ・Sword Dance: unleashes a Luminous Illusion that deals Hydro DMG to opponents it touches and grants Nilou the Lunar Prayer effect. This effect converts Nilou's Normal Attacks into Sword Dance techniques, and her final hit will unleash a Luminous Illusion. ・Whirling Steps: Nilou unleashes a Whirling Water Wheel that deals AoE Hydro DMG and creates a Tranquility Aura that follows your active character around and applies Wet to opponents within its AoE. Nilou is unable to perform Charged Attacks when under the effect of Pirouette or Lunar Prayer. These effects will be removed once she leaves the field. |

Effect |

When all characters in the party are all Dendro or Hydro, and there are at least one Dendro character and one Hydro character: The completion of the third dance step of Nilou's Dance of Haftkarsvar will grant all nearby characters the Golden Chalice's Bounty for 30s. Characters under the effect of Golden Chalice's Bounty will increase the Elemental Mastery of all nearby characters by 100 for 10s whenever they are hit by Dendro attacks. Also, triggering the Bloom reaction will create Bountiful Cores instead of Dendro Cores. Such Cores will burst very quickly after being created, and they have larger AoEs.Bountiful Cores cannot trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeon, and they share an upper numerical limit with Dendro Cores. Bountiful Core DMG is considered DMG dealt by Dendro Cores produced by Bloom. Should the party not meet the conditions for this Passive Talent, any existing Golden Chalice's Bounty effects will be canceled. |
