This team was made with Bloom reactions in mind. Since Nilou's Hydro application is so strong, having a strong Dendro applicator is a must for this team. The Elemental Resonance between characters are also beneficial for the team.
With the release of Lauma, this team now has a much higher damage ceiling thanks to her enabling Nilou's Blooms to Crit. This is further boosted by Lauma's Elemental Burst buff that increases Bloom damage, the Dendro RES shred from her Skill, and her own personal damage from the Hold Skill, which counts as Lunar-Bloom damage. Note that the Bountiful Blooms converted into Lunar-Blooms in this team deal roughly the same damage as regular Blooms, since Lunar-Bloom as a reaction mainly functions as a source of Verdant Dew stacks.
Rotation Of Bloom (Lunar-Bloom) Nilou Team
No. | Procedure |
---|---|
1 | Start with Nahida's Burst, then apply her Skill to all enemies |
2 | Switch to Nilou and use Elemental Skill 3 times to create a Hydro Aura. |
3 | Switch to Kokomi and use her Elemental Skill |
4 | Switch to Lauma then use Elemental Burst into Elemental Skill (Hold). |
5 | Switch to Kokomi and use Elemental Burst then proceed using Normal Attack to create more blooms while healing and dealing Burst damage. |
6 | When you gain another three stacks of Verdant Dew, swap to Lauma then use Elemental Skill (Hold) again. |
6 | Repeat from no. 1 once Nilou's skill is no longer active. |
The rotation of this team is very flexible, where each character can take turns On-Fielding for Energy, healing or to apply their respective Element. So long as Nilou's passive is active when creating Bloom it should deal good damage. Try to stay close to enemies so that the aura inflicts consistent Hydro and Lauma's Frostgrave Sanctuary field (from Skill) can apply Dendro as well.

---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() ![]() | - Dendro Traveller's Burst confines you to a certain area, but Traveler can be the better option into multi-wave content since Nahida needs to reapply her Skill to deal with multi-wave. - Yaoyao's Dendro application AoE increases with her Constellations, but she can still be a decent Dendro option, especially when she's played like an On-Field character who spams her Burst. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | - Barbara can be a decent F2P alternative for Kokomi's role as the Hydro applicator and healer, albeit with less AoE. - Yelan and Xingqiu can be decent choices into single-target scenarios. - With her C6 giving her AoE Hydro application, Candace becomes a decent source of Hydro from either an On-Field or Off-Field position. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | - Only Lauma can enable the conversion of Blooms into Lunar-Blooms. Other options will simply result in a regular Bloom team. - The fourth slot in Nilou's teams should ideally be a Dendro character, since too much Hydro can overwhelm a single Dendro source, leading to lesser Bloom production. - Nahida's Dendro application when she's played On-Field can be enough to sustain three Hydro characters, so you can simply choose from the Kokomi substitutes for the fourth slot in this case. |
Nilou's passive, Court of Dancing Petals, makes it so that Bountiful Blooms will be produced if she's in a party of only Dendro and Hydro characters. Because of this, you want to have either 2 Hydro and 2 Dendro characters for consistent Bloom production, or 3 Hydros and 1 Dendro character that can On-Field. Usually only Nahida has enough AoE Dendro application to produce a good amount of Blooms when paired with 3 Hydro units.
Note | You may feel tempted to use Furina as your source of Hydro, but because Bloom is a reaction whose damage doesn't increase with DMG% buffs (which Furina gives in abundance), you're better off slotting Furina in different teams instead of alongside Nilou. |

Vaporize Nilou Team Comp / National Nilou

Nilou in a Vape team is an unconventional composition since it goes against Nilou's intended design, and may not be any stronger than dedicated Vape reaction teams (such as Mualani teams), but it's still a viable option if you want to explore other team types for her.
Rotation Of Vaporize Nilou Team
No. | Procedure |
---|---|
1 | Start with Xiangling Skill |
2 | Switch to Kazuha and use his Burst, then skill |
3 | Place down Bennett's Burst, then quickly switch to Xiangling and use her Burst |
4 | Switch to Nilou and use her Skill twice, then a Normal Attack |
5 | Spam Nilou's Normal Attack until it expires |
6 | Repeat 1 |
In this comp, Nilou's main purpose is to deal Vaporize with her Elemental Skill's Sword Dance. Do not use her Elemental Skill's other stance (Hydro Aura) because it does not deal damage, wasting the Vaporize reaction.

![]() | ![]() | - Sucrose can increase the Elemental Mastery of the team. With a full VV set, she can also apply Elemental Shred to enemies while also being to interrupt/crowd them |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | - Dehya doesn't have as high of a damage potential as Xiangling, but her Pyro application is a good substitute - Thoma is a more direct replacement, but do note that his attacks may cause reverse vape instead |
![]() | ![]() | - Jean will not give an ATK buff to the team, but her Burst can heal the whole team at once. With a full VV set, she can still increase the damage of the team's Burst |
Xiangling and Bennett are hard to replace, and if you do, you will take a huge damage loss. To get the best out of this team comp, you need the both of them. Kazuha can be replaced by Sucrose as a direct replacement.
Electro-Charged Nilou Team Comp
Team Composition & Equipment
Character | Weapon Artifact & Stats |

![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() Main HP% / Hydro DMG / Crit Rate/DMG Sub 1. Crit Rate/DMG 2. HP% 3. Elemental Mastery |

![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() Main ATK% / Electro DMG / Crit Rate/DMG Sub 1. Crit Rate/DMG 2. ATK% 3. Elemental Mastery 4. Energy Recharge |
This comp works similarly to other Electro-Charged team comps, but with Nilou as the main Hydro driver. Yae Miko can gain energy from Kuki Shinobu for her Burst for additional damage. Kuki can keep the team sustained, but do note she can only heal the active character and she takes damage whenever she uses her skill. This team setup leans more towards Off-meta and can be a fun exploration into a different Nilou playstyle if you're tired of her typical Bloom setups.
Rotation Of Electro-Charged Nilou Team
No. | Procedure |
---|---|
1 | Set up Yae Miko's Skill. Create the three totems before switching |
2 | Next, use Nilou Burst, then her skill (4 times) |
3 | Switch to Kazuha then his use his Burst, then his skill |
5 | Switch to Kuki Shinobu and use her skill |
4 | Switch to Nilou and use her Skill three times, then do a Normal Attack on the last one |
5 | Spam her Normal Attack until it expires |
6 | Repeat 1 |
You will need to juggle between Nilou's stances depending on whether she'll be on the field or not. When Kuki Shinobu or Yae Miko's Skills are active, you can do her Hydro Infusion stance, but if you are still on set up, it's better to have her Hydro aura active instead.

![]() | ![]() | - Fischl's on-field Skill has an almost 100% uptime so long as you juggle her Skill and Burst well |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | - Jean can work in this group, but with another character already with VV, it's better if she has a Noblesse Oblige set instead - Dori is another Electro healer. Her Electro application is not that strong however |
When changing characters in this build, it's important to see whether they'll be able to keep up the Electro application. Since Nilou has very strong Hydro application, it's better to have her as the only Hydro applicator in this team.
