You'll generally want to use Nicole after your other supports have activated their Skill and/or Burst, preferably just before your On-Field DPS to maximize her ATK buff duration. Depending on the team setup and how essential her Burst is, you can sometimes skip using it entirely.

Off-Field Support With a Teamwide ATK Buff

In many teams, Nicole serves as both a buffer and a defensive support, since her Skill provides a shield for the active character and grants an ATK% buff to the entire party.

Has a Hexerei Passive

Nicole is a Hexerei character, meaning she has a special "Secret Rite" or "Witch's Eve Rite" passive that is only enabled after you finish her Witch's Homework quest. This passive is activated when the party has at least two characters who have completed their Witch's Homework.

Shield and Buffs Are From Her Skill

Nicole's Elemental Skill is the core of her kit, providing both a shield and her ATK% buff. These abilities are not limited to a single character or a set range; the shield follows the active character, while the buff affects the entire party.

Passive Increases Buff After Three Seconds

Once you activate her Skill, one of Nicole's Ascension passives further enhances her teamwide ATK boost after she "observes" the active character for three seconds. This process transforms the Grace of Kenosis buff into Guidance of Theosis.

Note!	Guidance of Theosis is activated immediately if the active character is a Hexerei unit.

Burst Summons Projections That Deal Damage

Nicole's Elemental Burst creates Arcane Projections. Whenever the active character hits an enemy, these Projections will perform a coordinated Elemental Attack that scales with the active character's ATK stat, not Nicole's.

Hexerei Passive Buffs Projection Damage

When the active character is a Hexerei unit, the Arcane Projections from her Burst receive a damage buff based on Nicole's ATK stat.

Note!	If the active character is a Hexerei unit, the Projections will take on that character's form. Otherwise, they will look like Nicole.

Upon activation: - Deals AoE Pyro DMG. - Nicole enters Silent Contemplation mode. Silent Contemplation: - When nearby active party members hit opponents, an Arcane Projection is summoned. - Arcane Projection performs a Coordinated Attack dealing AoE Elemental DMG matching the triggering character’s Element. - Damage scales based on the triggering character’s ATK and is considered their DMG. - Can trigger once every 3s. - Can trigger up to 4 times per Silent Contemplation: activation.

Activating Nicole's Burst summons Arcane Projections. When the on-field character hits an enemy, these projections will perform a Coordinated Attack. These Coordinated Attacks are considered hits from the active character, so their damage will also scale with that character's ATK instead of Nicole's.

When the party includes at least 2 Hexerei characters, you gain the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect, which enhances Hexerei characters. Hexerei: Secret Rite Increases the DMG dealt by Hexerei characters' Arcane Projections by 300% of Nicole's ATK.

After completing her Witch's Homework quest, Nicole gains a Hexerei: Secret Rite passive that boosts the damage dealt by her Arcane Projections. To enable this passive, there must be at least one other Hexerei character on the team.

Additionally, the buff will only apply to the Projections of Hexerei characters when they are on-field.

After using Elemental Skill (Revelation: Uncreated Light): - For 20s, Nicole continuously observes the current active character. - If the active character stays on-field for 3s: - Grace of Kenosis upgrades to Guidance of Theosis. - Guidance of Theosis grants an additional +300 ATK to the active character. - If the character is a Hexerei character: - Upgrade happens instantly (no 3s wait). - When characters other than Nicole with Guidance of Theosis leave the field, the effect reverts to Grace of Kenosis.

One of Nicole's Ascension Passives can further enhance the Grace of Kenosis buff, transforming it into Guidance of Theosis that has a higher ATK% buff total. This will only apply to the active character, and they must remain on-field for three (3) seconds for it to take effect.

Hexerei characters, such as Varka, are given the Guidance of Theosis immediately after Nicole uses her Skill.

Note!	Some non-Hex characters don't mind the wait time due to their gameplay needing setup (like Kinich), while others might have buff uptime problems as a result of the delay (like Mavuika).

Philokalia Does Not Affect Nicole's Buff

Philokalia	When Elemental DMG from nearby active party members hits an opponent, Nicole's own Grace of Kenosis effect is upgraded to Guidance of Theosis for 8s.

The +300 ATK upgrade from Nicole's Ascension 4 passive applies to herself and does not affect her teamwide ATK buff. This will instead make her shield more durable, since it scales with her ATK, while also increasing the damage dealt by the initial activation of her Skill and Burst.

But more importantly, the extra ATK she gains from this passive boosts the Coordinated Attacks of her Arcane Projections when Nicole's ▲Hexerei: Secret Rite effect is enabled.

Create Special Seelies With Her Charged Attack

Like other characters released during the Song of the Welkin Moon (Luna) versions, Nicole also has a special exploration passive. When out of combat in Teyvat, Nicole's Charged Attack creates a special Seelie that guides the player to points of interest, such as treasure or puzzles. This Seelie behaves like the treasure compass of the region you're currently exploring.

Constellation 1 Is Best For Supporting On-Field Hexerei DPS

Nicole's first Constellation provides another special projection that deals coordinated attacks, increasing the team's overall damage. This projection is also buffed by her Hexerei: Secret Rite passive, making it an excellent choice when pairing her with an on-field Hexerei DPS like Varka. Another advantage of pulling for her Constellations is the increased chance of also getting Prune and her constellations, a buffer who synergizes well with Nicole.

Signature Weapon Is Better For Off-Field Hexerei & Non-Hexerei Characters

Nicole's Signature Weapon, Angelos' Heptade, makes building her significantly easier by reducing her Energy requirements. At Refinement 1, it also provides a team-wide DMG bonus of up to 26%. However, this weapon becomes a lower priority if you already own a catalyst with a high Base ATK, such as Skyward Atlas.

Known by the codename "N", Nicole Reeyn is a member of the Hexenzirkel along with Alice, Rhinedottir, and Barbeloth.

First Appearance in Luna III

Nicole made her first in-game appearance during the Luna III update. Prior to this, she had only made voice-only appearances in the "Inversion of Genesis" and "Masquerade of the Guilty" Archon Quests.

Confirmed As An Angel

During her first appearance, Nicole revealed that she is an Angel. She is one of the few Angels who retained their original form and power.

This could also imply that there are other Angels similar to her in the world who did not succumb to becoming Seelies. One of them is confirmed to be the Lord of the Night.

An Orator Who Cannot Speak

Nicole cannot speak physically and instead uses her abilities to communicate directly with a person's mind. Despite this, she is a known orator who can talk endlessly about history.
