Nicole's Elemental Skill creates a Pyro Shield while also granting the entire party an ATK% buff, which makes her ideal for team comps with more than one source of damage.

- Nicole's teamwide ATK buff is used to its fullest here since both Varka and Durin scale with this stat. - Varka will greatly appreciate the comfort that Nicole's shield will provide, especially due to his mobile and Normal or Charged Attack-heavy playstyle. - While Durin is in his Confirmation of Purity mode in this team, he still contributes a bit of damage that, when buffed by Nicole, can lead to an increase in team performance or DPS. - Prune is Varka's de facto dedicated support thanks to being Anemo and having synergistic ATK% buffs for him on top of that.

This setup should be one of Nicole's intended comps due to the synergy between all the characters on the team, with the focus solely being on buffing Varka. His Hexerei status as an On-Field character will also let Nicole's Projections from her Burst gain a damage buff, which should be a nice boost to the total DPS.

Off-Field Support With a Teamwide ATK Buff

In many teams, Nicole fills the role of both a buffer and a survivability support, since her Skill not only provides a shield for the active character, but it also grants an ATK% buff for the entire party.

Has a Hexerei Passive

Nicole is a Hexerei character, meaning she, like other similar units, has a special Secret Rite or Witch's Eve Rite passive that is only activated after you finish her Witch's Homework quest. This passive is only active when the party has at least two (2) characters who have completed their Witch's Homework.

Shield and Buffs Are From Skill

Nicole's Elemental Skill is the highlight of her abilities since this is what provides the shield and her ATK% buff. These abilities are not limited to one character or have a set range: the shield follows the active character, while her buff affects the entire party.

Burst Summons Projections That Deal Damage

Nicole's Elemental Burst creates Arcane Projections. Whenever the On-Field character hits an enemy, these Projections will perform an Elemental Coordinated Attack that corresponds to the On-Field character. These attacks scale with the On-Field character's own ATK stat, rather than Nicole's.

Hexerei Passive Buffs Projection Damage

When the active character is a Hexerei unit, the Arcane Projections made by her Burst receive a damage buff.

Summon a Seelie For Exploration

Nicole has a special exploration passive where, as long as you are not in combat and remain within Teyvat, her Charged Attack creates a Seelie that acts like a Treasure Compass. Nicole plays like any other traditional support in the game, since she doesn't have any other special mechanics that require her to do more than simply using her Skill and then her Burst.

Skill Creates a Shield and Buffs All Allies

Nicole's Elemental Skill is the defining feature of her intended playstyle and role. This is what creates the shield on the active character, as well as activates her teamwide ATK% increase.

Burst Summons Arcane Projections

Activating Nicole's Burst summons Arcane Projections. When the on-field character hits an enemy, these projections will perform a Coordinated Attack. The Projections are considered attacks from the active character, so their damage will also scale with that character's ATK instead of Nicole's.

After completing her Witch's Homework quest, Nicole gains a Hexerei: Secret Rite passive that boosts the damage dealt by her Arcane Projections. To enable this passive, there must be at least one other Hexerei character on the team.

Create Special Seelies With Her Charged Attack

Like other characters released during the Song of the Welkin Moon (Luna) versions, Nicole also has a special exploration passive. When you are out of combat and within Teyvat, Nicole's Charged Attack becomes a Seelie which will guide the player to points of interest such as treasure or puzzles. The Emissarial Guidance will behave like the compass of the region you're currently exploring.

Who Is Nicole Reeyn?

A Member of the Hexenzirkel

Known by the codename "N", Nicole Reeyn is a member of the Hexenzirkel along with Alice, Rhinedottir, and Barbeloth.

First Appearance in Luna III

Prior to Luna III, Nicole has only made voice-only appearances during Archon Quests. She made her first in-game appearance during the Luna III update.

Previously, she was only heard in the Inversion of Genesis and Masquerade of the Guilty Archon Quests.

Confirmed to be an Angel

In the same quest where she is first introduced, Nicole revealed that she is an Angel. She states that she is among the few Angels who retained their original form and power.

This could also imply that there are other Angels similar to her in the world who did not succumb to becoming Seelies. One of them is confirmed to be the Lord of the Night.

An Orator Who Cannot Speak

Nicole cannot speak physically, instead using her abilities to communicate directly with a person's mind. Despite this, she is a known orator who can talk endlessly about history.
