Weapon Skill: Falling Rainbow's Wish
ATK is increased by 28%. When you use a Plunging Attack, you will gain the "Dawn's First Hue" effect: Plunging Attack CRIT DMG is increased by 28%. When you use an Elemental Skill or Burst, you will gain the "Twilight's Splendor" effect: Plunging Attack CRIT DMG is increased by 40%. The two effects above each last for 15s, and will be canceled 0.1s after the ground impact hits a target.

Great For Plunging Attack DPS
Vivid Notions is great for Plunging Attack DPS. Its weapon skill can increase attack and Plunging Attack CRIT DMG when Elemental Skill or Burst is used. Varesa's gameplay that uses both Skill and Burst can activate the skill reliably.
Few Possible Users
While all Catalyst characters can do Plunging Attacks, only Varesa and Xianyun have their kits centered on Plunging Attack and can use it without needing external support. Though Xianyun is commonly built as support, she can use this weapon for a DPS build.
Vivid Notions Is Good For Whom?
BiS Weapon Of Varesa
Vivid Notions is Varesa's signature weapon and her Best-in-Slot weapon currently available. Varesa can activate both CRIT DMG buffs since she uses Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skill and Burst in her regular rotation. Though the buff expires once her Plunging Attack's ground impact hits, she can reactivate easily.
