Ororon is a 4-star Electro character who wields a Bow in Genshin Impact. His gameplay focuses on off-field Electro support and synergy with Hydro-based reactions like Electro-Charged. His Elemental Skill, "Night's Sling," launches a bouncing Electro projectile that builds up Nightsoul points when allies trigger certain reactions or use Electro and Hydro attacks. Once enough points are gathered, he automatically enters Nightsoul's Blessing, firing "Hypersense" Electro damage to up to four enemies at intervals, even while off-field. His Elemental Burst summons the "Supersonic Oculus," a construct that taunts enemies and continuously deals area Electro damage. Lore-wise, Ororon is a calm and mysterious member of the Masters of the Night-Wind from Natlan.

Ororon will need to reliably be able to cast his Burst from time to time so sacrificing some of his DMG-oriented stats is OK. If there is no Electro application, the team will not be able to trigger Electro-Charged meaning his passive for off-field Electro DMG will not be activated at all. But if he is not solo Electro in his team, lowering his Energy Recharge for more DMG stats is the new stat goal.

Team Rotation of Ororon and Combos
Team Rotation of Off-Field Ororon
Basic Rotation Of Ororon |
---|
1. Use Elemental Skill. 2. Use Elemental Burst before switching characters. |
Ororon's Off-Field Sub-DPS gameplay is simple since he only needs to use his Active Skill to activate buffs. Using his Elemental Skill will enable him to regenerate Energy for the active character and him while using his Elemental Burst taunts enemies to approach.
Basics of Using Ororon (Beginner Guide)
As a character from Natlan, Ororon has access to the Nightsoul mechanic. For Ororon, his Nightsoul mechanic allows him to deal an Off-Field Electro Attack when Electro-Charged/Lunar-Charged/Nightsoul-aligned damage is dealt by his teammates.
What Is Nightsoul State / Nightsoul Points for Ororon?

Ororon's Nightsoul State is unique from other Natlan characters. As a strictly Sub-DPS only character, Ororon gains Nightsoul points more than losing it. In a Taser team, his Nightsoul bar is often full.
▼ In-Game Description of Nightsoul State of OroronHypersense Attack when Electro-Charged or Nightsoul-Aligned Damage is Dealt
Ororon consumes 10 Nightsoul points to deal a Nightsoul-aligned Electro Attack when Electro-Charged, Lunar-Charged, or Nightsoul-aligned damage is dealt on enemies. It can hit up to 4 nearby enemies.
Nightsoul Burst for Ororon

▲ Ororon's Nightsoul Burst Effect is only the first part of his Nightshade Synesthesia Passive.
Nightsoul Burst is an effect that activates when Elemental Damage is dealt when there's a Natlan character in the team. This effect has different buffs for the Natlan character. In Ororon's case, it gives him 40 Nightsoul points and allows him to gain 5 more when Hydro or Electro attacks hit enemies.
Effect of Nightsoul Burst

No. of Natlan Characters | 1 | 2 | 3~4 |
---|---|---|---|
Cooldown | 18 sec. | 12 sec. | 9 sec. |
Nightsoul Burst cooldown depends on how many Natlan characters are in the team. For Ororon, having him as solo Natlan is fine as long as he is in a Taser team. Outside of Taser or Natlan teams, Ororon performs worse and shouldn't be used as Sub-DPS aside from his Elemental Burst.

How To Use Ororon?
An Electro Sub DPS for Electro-Charged Team

Ororon is an Electro Sub-DPS character with a focus on Electro-Charged teams (Hydro + Electro). Ororon uses Electro-charged to activate a strong additional attack. With Scroll Of The Hero Of Cinder City Set, he can buff and provide additional damage.
The Passive Is Amazing From Dealing Damage Off-Field
▲The lightning strikes are Ororon's additional attack.
How To Use Ororon? | |
---|---|
1 | Gain Nightsoul Points - Nightsoul Burst occurs. (+40) - After using E. Skill, use Hydro / Electro from teammates (+5) |
2 | Enter Nightsoul State - Deal Electro-charged damage - Let a Natlan Character do a Nightsoul Attack hit an opponent. |
Because of Ororon's passive, he transforms into his Nightsoul State and deal constant damage off-field. He is very simple to use, you just need to continuesly deal Electro-charged damage to enemies. There is no need to put Ororon onfield.
Use E. Burst to Taunt Enemies and Deal Powerful DMG
The Elemental Burst of Ororon is a summon-type Skill. It summons an Oculus that continuously taunts enemies and also deal DMG to them when they are in range. This helps group up enemies so that the Main DPS will be getting more DMG windows.
Recovers The Energy Of Teammates And Himself Off-Field
After the Elemental Skill of Ororon hits the enemies, when teammates deal Normal / Charge / Plunging Attack that character and Ororon will gain energy. While it only gain 9 points, it is really good for Ororon who is often off-field and not receiving energy particles.
Hold Jump Button for Higher Jump Height
Ororon has the ability similar to Iktomisaurus which can jump at great heights. When you have Ororon, you do not need to transform to Iktomisaurus to explore.
Should You Pull for Ororon's Constellation Or Best Weapon?
All of Ororon's Constellations are Good to Have
Constellation Priority |
---|
C6 > C4 > C2 |
Any Constellation Level is a Good Stopping Point
Ororon's peak performance as a supportive character that applies buffs should be at C6, but he will still work as intended and produce decent results even at C0, with his constellations generally increasing his own damage output. Because Ororon is a 4-star, it'll be harder to obtain his constellations even when he's on the rate up-banner. Unless you want to get the rate up 5-star character, it's fine to stop at whatever constellation you end up with for Ororon.
