5.7 Update - Expected Release Date & Overview

Banners and events for the 5.7 update have yet to be officially revealed. This page is updated live, so check back again later for any new updates!

Speculated 5.7 Character Banner Dates

Following previous banner dates, the 5.7 Version Update for Genshin Impact may run with the above schedule. Note that this may change depending on what is announced during the 5.7 livestream.

Pre-Installation Expected on June 16, 2025

Unless it is delayed or comes early, pre-installation should be available on June 16, 2025, two (2) days before the Update happens. Pre-installing the update will allow players to immediately be able to enjoy the new Version once the maintenance is done.

5.7 Livestream Schedule

The 5.7 Livestream has been announced to happen at 08:00 AM (UTC-4) on June 6, 2025!

5.7 Update - Predicted Character Banners

Speculated 5-Star and 4-Star Rateups

These are possible character banner lineups for the 5.7 Update. Note that this is purely speculation and is highly subject to change!

Skirk is likely to launch in the first phase as a 5 star since she was announced first, and new 5-star banners typically go live first before reruns. That leaves the other banner of the first phase and the entire second phase to be composed of returning characters.

If Dahlia is a 4-Star, he might appear on either phases until the real banner lineups are confirmed by the 5.7 livestream. If Dahlia is a 5-star, he is more likely to appear in the second phase, but there has been a few times where they run the new 5-stars together.

5-Star Rerun Candidates for Version 5.7

Character	Reason for Rerun
Mavuika	Historically, Archons have returned quicker than other 5-stars, typically within 3 to 4 patches after their initial launch After Raiden Shogun's rerun in the second phase of 5.6, every Archon has gotten a rerun since Natlan's release, except Mavuika, who was released in version 5.3.
Emilie	Emilie is one of the few Fontaine characters that has yet to rerun since her release in Version 4.8. This makes her a strong candidate for a rerun in Version 5.7, especially since Kinich, who synergizes well with her, is going to rerun in the second phase of 5.6.
Citlali	Citlali is a possible rerun option by virtue of Mavuika being a contender as well, since she is Mavuika's ideal support and because they have a history of being ran together in a single version and phase. Citlali shreds Cryo resistance, and may be usable as a support for Skirk assuming she is a DPS.
Yelan	If Skirk is an-field damage dealer, she may work in a Freeze team and could possibly be paired with Yelan. Escoffier is currently on banner in the first phase of Version 5.6, and Yelan works as a Hydro teammate for teams that could use Escoffier, especially for Freeze. Rerunning one of Escoffier's best support options is likely.
Shenhe	Similar to Yelan, Shenhe may be a good partner for Skirk if she is an on-field DPS. Shenhe is the ideal fourth member of an Ayaka team, more so with Escoffier since she is designed to be the dedicated Cryo support.
Childe	Since Childe is Skirk's disciple, there may be a lore reason to run them together in the same version. If Skirk has any off-field capabilities, it may be possible to run them together. Childe is an alright teammate to pair with Escoffier for Freeze, so it isn't completely impossible to see Childe rerun as an Escoffier teammate.
Mualani	6 patches or versions have passed since Mualani's release. With Kinich rerunning in the second phase of 5.6, Mualani now holds the record for most days gone without a rerun since her release among the 5-star Natlan characters.
Chasca	Unlike Mualani, Chasca has less versions between her initial release and the current live version. She is less likely to rerun than Mualani, but may still be a candidate.
Albedo	Albedo was one of the main characters in the Interlude Chapter Act 4: Paralogism and this might be a reason for him to be reran again, especially since his last appearance was over a year ago on the first Chronicled Wish banner.

Featured 4-Star Candidates for Version 5.7

Other than Dahlia, the 4-Star rateups are often harder to predict, but here are some of the possibilities based off of their last appearance on the rateup banner and their synergy or relationship to the new characters.

Character	Reason for Rateup
Diona	Diona being Cryo and a shielder may make her a suitable teammate for Skirk or Dahlia.
Freminet	Freminet is one of the 4-stars that hasn't been on the rateup in a while, with his last appearance being in 4.6. He might fit into a party with Skirk or Dahlia since he is ideally run in a Freeze team for Shatter. He also likes Escoffier as a teammate.
Candace	Depending on their kits, Candace could make an alright option for either Skirk or Dahlia. She also hasn't been on the rateup for a decent amount of time, though not as much as Freminet.
Xingqiu	Like Candace, Xingqiu may prove to be a decent alternative for Skirk or Dahlia teams. He is also decent with Escoffier.
Barbara	She may be usable as an option for Skirk or Dahlia teams. Her association with Dahlia as a member of the Church of Favonius may also be a reason for her to be on the rate-up alongside him.
Rosaria	Like Barbara, Rosaria has the same reasons for being on the rateup as a teammate for Skirk or Dahlia and as a member of the Church of Favonius and answers directly to Dahlia. Rosaria is also a decent flex option for Ayaka teams that have Escoffier
Yun Jin	Yun Jin is currently the 4-star with the longest time held since her last rateup in Version 4.5. Despite likely not being an ideal teammate for Skirk and Dahlia, it is still possible to see her as a rateup 4-Star.

5.7 Update - Developer's Discussion For 5.7

Artifact Custom Loadout to be Added

Up to Two (2) Custom Loadout per Character

The long-awaited Artifact Loadout feature will allow characters to have up to two (2) loadouts available.

Artifact Comparison added in Set Filter feature

Travelers will now be able to compare Artifact substats when checking for alternative Artifacts in the Fast Equip menu.

Retry Button & Automatic Reward Claiming for Spiral Abyss

Retry Button added before Entering next Chamber

Travelers can now retry a chamber before they proceed to the next one if they chose to do so. Team configs are saved when retrying!

Automatic Reward Claiming

Upon clearing Floor 12, the summary screen will show the gained Abyssal Stars and also automatically claim the rewards for you.

Other Quality-of-Life Changes

Character Trial UI now shows Additional Information

Travelers will now able to see a summarization of the character's role and skills in the Test Run event page.

Continuous Skill Leveling

Players will no longer have to keep clicking on the Level Up button on the Talents screen. You will be able to continuously level the character's Skills if you have enough materials.

Resin Reward Claiming with More Options Now

With the new UI for Resin reward claiming, you can now claim rewards using your Fragile Resin or Transient Resin directly.

Adventurer's Handbook Now Shows Boss Weaknesses

Travelers can now see the archive entry of target bosses that shows the traits and weaknesses of the boss.

Chat System Changes

Emoji Grouping and Reordering

Travelers will be able to reorder and set a hotbar for ten (10) Emoji groups.

Emoji Favoriting for Custom Group

Along with the Emoji Grouping, you can also create your own Emoji group by Favoriting emotes!

Teammate Mentioning and Message Jump

Travelers can now @mention players in the Party Chat and jump instantly to last read messages!

Quest Resource Management Added

The File Resource Management Changes are only available for the Mobile platform and will not be available for PC or Console unless announced otherwise.

Resource Downloading Options Added

Travelers can now choose what resource option to download when downloading for the game. When progressing on quests, you can download the resources in the Quest menu.

Resource Management in Settings Added

Travelers can now manage the resource files for quests to lower the storage requirement.
