Odette’s Roles, Playstyle, Strengths, and Weaknesses
Stellar Reaction Support and Sub-DPS

At a glance, Odette is intended to be a 5-star Cryo Support that lets her party trigger Stellar reactions due to her having a Stellar Linchpin. She is also a Sub-DPS, whose Skill summons a dancing clone of herself that attacks nearby opponents.
The initial attacks from the clone are considered Cryo DMG, but can become Stellar-Conduct or Stellar Swirl DMG after Odette uses her Skill again.
Pros and Cons of Off-Field Stellar Reaction Support and Sub-DPS Odette
| Pros |
|---|
| - Appears easy to play, especially since she's an Off-Fielder who only wants to deploy Skill and Burst before swapping out. |
| - The first Off-Field Cryo Stellar Linchpin user, meaning she lets existing DPSes and teams gain access to the new Stellar reactions. |
| - Off-Field Cryo application means Electro and Anemo DPSes will also be able to utilize Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl with her on their teams. |
| Cons |
| - No sustain abilities, so most Stellar teams would still need a shielder or healer. |
| - There are only a handful of DPSes that can make full use of her Stellar DMG% buffs since these do not buff the damage dealt by the base reaction, but direct Stellar DMG instead. |
| - You cannot prefarm for Odette since she is most likely going to use materials from Snezhnaya. |
Best Build for Odette
Note: Build assumes Odette is a Stellar Reaction Sub-DPS that scales with ATK%. Information can change after release!
In her teams, Odette fits the role of a Stellar Reaction enabler, buffer, and Sub-DPS. Her best performance should then be alongside a dedicated Stellar reaction DPS while being built to deal damage through offensive stats like CRIT. See below for our top recommendations:

| ATK | Around 2,400~ |
| Elemental Mastery (EM) | Around 150-200~ |
Like other damage-type characters, Odette would prefer to be built with a balanced CRIT Rate to CRIT DMG ratio (1:2) for the best average damage-per-second (DPS). Her Energy requirements are still unknown and will need more testing after her official release.

Best Weapon for Odette
Note: Weapon choices are based on the assumption that Odette is a Stellar Reaction Sub-DPS that scales with ATK%. Information can change after release!
Since a lot of her abilities highlight her personal damage, Odette will naturally prefer weapons that'll further increase her DPS potential. See below for our top recommendations:
Premium Weapons for Odette
| Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
|---|---|---|
| Best | Whitelake Frostfeather | Get from Limited Banners - Odette's Signature Weapon. - A CRIT Rate main-stat weapon that has an ATK%, CRIT DMG and DMG% buffs dealt by all Stellar Glimmer Reactions caused by equipping character after they hit an enemy with their Skill. - The weapon also has a modest Energy restoration effect that Odette has no trouble maintaining throughout combat. - This sword is more focused on Odette's personal damage, and it's undoubtedly tailored to make her more efficient in her role as a Sub-DPS. |
| 2nd | Absolution Primordial Jade Cutter Azurelight | Get from Limited Banners - CRIT main-stat weapons with high base ATK and some form of ATK% buff. Assuming Odette scales with ATK, these should help increase her damage output. - The main stats of these weapons allow you to reach an appealing CRIT Ratio on Odette. |
| 3rd | Light of Foliar Incision Uraku Misugiri Mistsplitter Reforged | Get from Limited Banners - Other CRIT swords with suboptimal increases from their passives, such as generic DMG% buffs. - These will function more like stat-sticks where you equip them primarily to increase Odette's CRIT Rate or DMG. - While having a functional passive is ideal, a damage character like Odette would still appreciate the higher CRIT Ratio you can achieve with these weapons. |
| 4th | Freedom-Sworn | Get from Limited Banners - A supportive, Elemental Mastery (EM) main-stat sword with a passive that increases the team's ATK% and provides non-Stellar-DMG% buffs. - Despite having an ATK% buff, the lack of CRIT and low base ATK makes this sword less effective for Odette, who should primarily be DPS-oriented. - Buffing your On-Field DPS may seem appealing, but since Stellar Reactions aren't affected by the DMG% from this weapon, its utility will be halved and therefore less ideal than any other CRIT sword. |
| Note! | As a rule of thumb, any passive that says it increases DMG will not buff Odette unless it is specified as Stellar DMG%. This is due to how Stellar reactions and DMG is calculated. |
|---|
Odette is projected to fare better when given offensive weapons, even if she can't make use of their passives. Any CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG main-stat sword should be viable if not optimal for her, as a lot of her abilities are centered around attacking and dealing Stellar and Cryo DMG to nearby enemies.
Free-to-Play Friendly (F2P Weapons) for Odette
| Weapon | How to Get Rating | |
|---|---|---|
| Best F2P (Forge) | Finale of the Deep | Fontaine Craftable (Forgeable) Weapon - A craftable ATK main-stat sword with a passive that gives even more ATK from the passive. - Simply including a healer on Odette's team lets her gain the full buff from the passive. - Odette's best F2P option as an ATK-scaling DPS. - Best at Refinement Level 5 (R5). |
| 2nd (Forge) | Snezhnaya Craftable Sword | Snezhnaya Craftable (Forgeable) Weapon - Since Odette is releasing alongside Snezhnaya, there is a chance that she will have minimum base synergy with the free 4-star sword that you can get via crafting or forging. - Likely best at Refinement Level 5 (R5). - It would ideally have some form of Stellar Reaction DMG or ATK% buff to be viable on Odette. - Depending on the stat increase, it might even be Odette's best F2P choice. |
| 3rd (Forge) | Iron Sting Prototype Rancour | Craftable (Forgeable) Weapons - If you're just starting, you can make do with whatever ATK% main-stat weapon that you can craft at the moment. - These two swords have passives that are useless for Odette to some degree, but they can function as temporary options until you can secure a better sword for her. |
For Free-to-Play options, you can look to use most craftable swords that you have access to, with ATK% weapons being favored. The Fontaine forgeable sword is temporarily ranked as Odette's best F2P choice until further information about the Snezhnaya craftable weapons is released.
Expect Finale of the Deep to still be 2nd Best at the very least, thanks to its generous ATK buff.
All Weapon ListOdette Best Artifacts
Note: Artifact choices are based on the assumption that Odette is a Stellar Reaction Sub-DPS that scales with ATK%. Information can change after release!
Odette's designated niche appears to be damage-oriented on top of having some supportive ability, so she naturally prefers sets that can either increase her DPS output and/or her buffing value for Odette's intended teams. See below for our top recommendations:
| Artifact | Recommendation Details |
|---|---|
Heart of the Furnace Scarlet Proof | ★★★★★ - New Artifact sets that will be released in Version 7.0 with Snezhnaya. - Heart of the Furnace is a Stellar-Conduct-focused set that increases the equipping character's ATK but also boosts the party's Stellar Glimmer DMG. - Scarlet Proof is Stellar Swirl-oriented that gives the equipping character CRIT Rate and increases their Stellar Swirl DMG. - Both sets are projected to be Odette's best overall choices for either Stellar team types. |
Disenchantment in Deep Shadow | ★★★★・ - A Stellar-Conduct and Superconduct Artifact set that grants the equipping character relevant DMG% buffs and additional CRIT Rate against enemies affected by said reactions. - Since Odette seems to be made to fit into Sandrone's teams, she gets the full benefit of this set's passive in that team. - An ideal temporary set for Odette while you farm for a full 4-piece set of her best-in-slot Artifacts. |
2-piece ATK% 2-piece EM | ★★★・・ - Any mixed set that pair the stats that Odette wants the most can function as decent transitional sets if you’re a new player and do not have access to her other options at the moment. - Aside from the two sets listed here, you can mix and match 2-piece set effects while farming for a full 4-piece set. - The setup is not strict, and you can also use any combination between the 2-piece versions of: ・Shimenawa's Reminiscence (ATK%) ・Vermillion Hereafter (ATK%) ・Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods (ATK%) ・Echoes of an Offering (ATK%) ・Gilded Dreams (EM) ・Night of the Sky's Unveiling (EM) - ATK% is a little more favored than Elemental Mastery (EM) assuming Odette's abilities primarily scale with this stat. |
Artifact Stat Priority
Note: Stat priority are made on the assumption that Odette is an ATK-scaling Stellar Reaction Sub-DPS that wants to use her Elemental Burst every rotation. Information can change after release!

![]() | Main: CRIT Rate or DMG Sub: CRIT Rate or DMG / ATK% / Elemental Mastery or Energy Recharge |
| Note! | Stellar Swirl cannot be triggered in game as of the moment. Official information about this reaction is also limited. Expect builds or teams for this reaction to solidify after Odette's release! |
|---|
Prioritize Offensive Stats For Now
Until the Energy Cost and overall importance of Odette's Elemental Burst are known, it is recommended to first aim for a set that can provide a fair amount of Energy Recharge (ER) with a balanced mix of CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG at a 1:2 ratio for the best average DPS. ATK% and Elemental Mastery (EM) sub-stats can also be considered unless Odette is revealed to scale with other stats.

Best Team Comp for Odette
Note: Possible teams are based on the assumption that Odette is a Stellar Reaction Sub-DPS that scales with ATK%. Information can change after release!
Premium Stellar-Conduct Team
| Sub-DPS | DPS | Sub-DPS | Support |
|---|---|---|---|
Odette | Sandrone | Yae Miko | Alyosha |
| Details | |||
| - Odette can very clearly slot into Sandrone's Stellar-Conduct team alongside Yae Miko. - Odette's Stellar Reaction DMG% buffs will benefit both Sandrone and Miko. This leads to the team having a relatively high baseline performance since Odette will also contribute some of her own personal damage to the total team DPS. - The fourth slot should still be relatively flexible, but it seems Alyosha (who can heal) can be an upgrade or alternative to Qiqi and Escoffier to fill the sustain and secondary buffer role. | |||
Odette should fit without much issue into a Stellar-Conduct team with Sandrone as the On-Field DPS, since this comp previously had two slots with less-than-optimal teammate options. With Odette being both a damage and utility character, the comp is expected to average a fairly high to competitive amount of DPS, and it won't be a surprise to see the comp quickly rising to the top of the meta.
Other Team Comps For Odette
No Sandrone Stellar-Conduct Team
| Team | Detail | |
|---|---|---|
Odette | Cyno | - Odette is meant to be played in Stellar Reaction teams, so it follows that she can be deployed as the Stellar enabler for other DPSes that can work in those teams, like Cyno or Wriothesley. - The other teammates are also synergistic Stellar-Conduct Sub-DPSes or supports, but the best setup should be very similar to Sandrone's premium Stellar-Conduct team. |
Miko | Alyosha | |
Stellar Swirl Team
| Note! | Teams and builds related to Stellar Swirl still needs to undergo post-release testing once Version 7.0 is live. All info is subject to change! |
|---|
| Team | Detail | |
|---|---|---|
Odette | Mizuki | - Odette can deal both Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl DMG, so she fits into both team archetypes. - Mizuki has been revealed to have the ability to deal direct Stellar Swirl DMG, so she is going to be the best On-Field DPS for this team until a dedicated Stellar Swirl DPS is released. - Stellar Swirl wants constant Swirl triggers, so having a secondary Anemo character like Sucrose is going to be preferred. |
Qiqi | Sucrose | |
F2P-Friendly Team Comp
| Team | Detail | |
|---|---|---|
Odette | Fischl | - A F2P-friendly team comp that uses free or easily obtainable characters. - Assuming Cryo Traveler can be played as an On-Field Stellar Reaction DPS, this is the only setup that will let you take full advantage of everything Odette has to offer as an Off-Field Support and Sub-DPS while also dealing direct Stellar-Conduct DMG. |

Team Rotation of Odette and Combos

Basic Team Rotation for Off-Field Sub-DPS and Support Odette
| Basic Rotation For Off-Field Sub-DPS and Support Odette |
|---|
| 1. Start the rotation with the Off-Field characters in order of longest ability duration to shortest. └ Odette will come in either first or second if her Skill has a decently long duration. Otherwise, you will want to deploy her right before your On-Field DPS. 2. Swap to Odette. Use her Skill, then Burst (though this may be optional). 3. Switch to your On-Field DPS to execute their damage combo. 4. Repeat from Step 1. |
Odette will follow the same rotation trend as her fellow Off-Field characters, where she activates all her essential abilities first before swapping out. Her Burst may or may not be optional depending on further testing after her official release.

Sub-DPS and Support for Stellar Reactions
As a character with Off-Field Cryo DMG and a Stellar Linchpin, it is clear that Odette is supposed to be played as a complimentary Off-Field teammate in Stellar Reaction teams.
Her most obvious use cases are as a strong teammate addition for dedicated Stellar DPSes while also allowing older, buffed characters, like Wriothesley and Cyno, to deal Stellar DMG or to activate Stellar-related abilities.
Stellar Linchpin Enables Stellar Reactions
Odette is one of the few characters that is confirmed to have a Stellar Linchpin instead of a Vision, which, like Moonwheels for Lunar Reactions, is what lets her and her teammates convert existing reactions into their Stellar variant.
| Note! | With the introduction of Stellar Swirl, everything related to the Stellar reactions, including the damage they deal, is collectively called Stellar Glimmer. |
|---|
Enter Radiance States Through Stellar Reactions
Radiance: Stellar Glimmer State Effects| Radiance: Stellar-Conduct State | |
|---|---|
![]() Cryo + Electro | When Stellar-Conduct is triggered, it places a star-like construct called a Starlight Prism on the ground. The Prism then causes a certain area around it to become a Polestar Field. So long as the active character remains within this field, Odette and her other teammates will be in the Radiance: Stellar state that corresponds to the triggered reaction. |
| Radiance: Stellar Swirl State | |
![]() Cryo + Anemo | When Stellar Swirl is triggered, it creates a Stellar Vortex near the affected enemy. The Vortex will explode, dealing Cryo DMG, at a set interval. Every time the Stellar Swirl happens, the level and damage of the Vortex and its ensuing explosion is increased. Triggering the reaction the first time also causes the party to enter the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state. |
The additional bonuses or enabled abilities granted by the Radiance state vary from character to character. For Odette, her current Radiance state dictates the type of Stellar Glimmer Reaction DMG that her Dance Double will deal after she casts her special Skill.
Skill Creates Dance Double

Odette's most notable ability is her Skill, since this summons a clone of herself called a Solo Dance Double that deals Cryo DMG to nearby enemies. After the first activation, her special Skill will become available to use for a short period of time.
Using the special Skill causes her to dance alongside her Double, dealing direct Stellar-Conduct DMG or Stellar Swirl DMG (depending on her Radiance state) once the dance ends and then over the duration of the Dance Double at certain intervals.
| Note! | Odette's Skill is her primary damage and Cryo application source, and her likely combo will be using her Skill twice per rotation in quick succession. |
|---|
Increases Party's Stellar DMG
Odette has the ability to increase Stellar Glimmer DMG dealt by her party after she deploys her Dance Double. This includes Stellar-Conduct and the new reaction, Stellar Swirl.
Burst Deals Damage and Increases Stellar Glimmer Damage
Apart from dealing Cryo DMG, Odette's Burst also buffs her personal or her teammates' Stellar Reaction DMG.

Note: All info is subject to change until Odette's official release.
How To Use Odette's Skills & Passives?
Flexible Off-Field Stellar Reaction Teammate

All of Odette's abilities or talents are related to Stellar Reactions in some way, either by having her deal Stellar DMG or by allowing her to boost her teammate's Stellar DMG. While she can function as a simple Cryo applicator or Sub-DPS, the total extent of Odette's kit is only fully realized in teams that want to deal direct Stellar-Conduct or Stellar Swirl DMG.
Convert Reactions to Stellar Reactions

| Elements | Reactions |
|---|---|
Cryo + Electro | Base Reaction |
- Deals AoE Cryo DMG - Reduces Physical RES of enemies affected by the reaction. | |
| Stellar Version | |
- Creates a Polestar Field and grants Cryo and Electro DMG bonus to everyone inside. - Starlight Prism at the center of the field will store energy made by Cryo and Electro hits, later increasing the DMG buff and the base damage dealt by Stellar-Conduct. - Reduces Physical RES of enemies affected by the reaction. - Party enters the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state. | |
Cryo + Anemo | Base Reaction |
- Deals Cryo DMG to enemies in an AoE, but will only deal Anemo DMG to the enemy the reaction is triggered on. - Swirled element can be used to trigger other reactions such as Freeze. | |
| Stellar Version | |
- Creates a Vortex that will deal damage intermittently before exploding. - Multiple Stellar Swirls triggered will increase the Vortex's size, level and explosion DMG. - Party enters Radiance: Stellar Swirl state. |
Like other Stellar Linchpin holders, having Odette on a team transforms certain reactions into their Stellar form after applying the necessary Elements to an enemy. Each Stellar Reaction has different effects, but both have specific Radiance states tied to them, and Odette (with her other party members) will enter said states after the corresponding Stellar reaction is triggered.
Like Sandrone, it is expected for Odette to have a passive that increases the base damage of Stellar Reactions according to her primary scaling stat.
| Note! | Stellar-Conduct follows the same formula trends as Lunar Reactions. The only DMG% buff that boosts it is the ones labeled Stellar DMG%, specifically, meaning things such as Elemental goblets or Skill DMG% passives are suboptimal for Odette. |
|---|
Summon Dance Double With Her Skill

Odette's Elemental Skill has her leave a shadow of herself behind, which is called a Solo Dance Double, dealing Cryo and Stellar-Conduct or Stellar Swirl DMG.
The second cast of her Elemental Skill is considered Odette's special Skill. Once activated, the Double will now periodically deal direct Stellar DMG to enemies according to her current Radiance state, making this Odette's hardest-hitting ability overall.
Burst Deals Damage

Odette's Elemental Burst is a standard DPS ability. Additionally, Odette's Burst grants her an effect that will increase her personal Stellar DMG or teammates' after activation.
Special Idle Allows Her to Perform More Pirouettes

Odette has a special, interactable idle animation where she starts spinning in place. Activating her Skill during this animation will allow her to perform more spins or pirouettes. The interaction does not seem to be infinite, and Odette will eventually stop dancing after a certain number of spins.

Who Is Odette?
Prima Ballerina of the Korolevskiy Troupe

As stated in official sources, Odette leads various ballets in Snezhnograd, the capital city of Snezhnaya as the Prima Ballerina of the Korolevskiy Troupe. This makes Vodyanitsa, the Prima Soprano of the same troupe, her colleague and possible associate.
Active Fatui Member

It has been stated that apart from being a ballerina, Odette is also a regular Fatui member who receives and executes missions that are implied to involve some form of combat, which is further backed up by her appearance in the Snezhnaya Trailer with a dagger in-hand.
She was under La Signora's tutelage up until the latter's death.
Likely a Reference to Swan Lake
Odette is shown wearing a ballerina's dress and has bird-like elements such as feathers in her outfit. While her outfit is primarily white, her reappearance in the trailer has black feathers scattered next to her.
Called as Lelek by Vodyanitsa

Another hint towards her Swan Lake reference is the nickname Vodyanitsa calls her. Her name, Odette, has no "le" syllables in it, but the name Odile, which also appears in Swan Lake, does. Odile might be another name for her if Vodyanitsa is using a nickname for that name.
