Best Teams for Cryo Traveler
Cryo Traveler Is Designed for Stellar Teams
| Team | Rating Description |
|---|---|
| ▼Stellar-Conduct DPS Traveler Team | ★★★★★ - Much like past Traveler versions, their Cryo kit has both Off-Field and On-Field viability. - They enable the team to convert Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct like other Stellar Linchpin characters, and have bare minimum synergy with existing Stellar Reaction supports. - In this setup, they are played as the main DPS that uses the majority of the field time, but is complemented by other Stellar Sub-DPSes like Odette and Yae Miko. |
| ▼Stellar Swirl Traveler Team | ★★★★★ - In similar fashion to Odette, Cryo Traveler can also convert Cryo Swirl triggers into the other Stellar Reaction: Stellar Swirl, which concerns Cryo reacting with Anemo and vice versa. - Unlike in Stellar-Conduct, Cryo Traveler does not need to use Normal Attacks to apply their Element. So long as the Traveler isn't in the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state, the Frostpierce Star from their Skill will now deal Off-Field Cryo DMG. - The damage potential of this team is fairly competitive with Stellar-Conduct comps. |
| ▼Stellar-Conduct Support Traveler Team | ★★★★☆ - Since Cryo Traveler can activate Stellar-Conduct, they can be flexed alongside buffed, non-Stellar Linchpin DPSes like Wriothesley or Cyno to gain access to their new passives or abilities that are gated behind being in the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state. - They can serve as a decent Odette substitute if you don't have or don't plan on getting her, but expect the DPS potential of this team to be a little worse since Odette provides actual buffs and better personal damage as a limited character. |
| ▼F2P Stellar-Conduct Traveler Team | ★★★☆☆ - Cryo Traveler can be unlocked once you reach Snezhnaya, similar to all other Traveler variations. - If you are relatively new or do not have any characters that can be deployed as a Stellar-Conduct DPS, then Traveler is more than capable of filling that role for you. |
Cryo Traveler is an accessible Stellar Glimmer reaction character that can be played as a Support for another teammate, as an enabler for Stellar Glimmer Reactions, or as an On-Field DPS that deals direct Stellar-Conduct or Stellar Swirl DMG.
They can make for a convincing damage-type character upon utilizing the new Stellar Glimmer mechanics and reactions, but the existence of the Exaiphanes Blade, which is a CRIT main-stat sword with a strong Traveler-exclusive passive is one of the larger contributors to their competitive performance in comparison to other Traveler forms.
Stellar Glimmer Reactions
Stellar Glimmer Reactions Quick Info
The official umbrella term for both Stellar reactions is Stellar Glimmer.
Stellar-Conduct builds on Superconduct as the base reaction, requiring Electro and Cryo application, but flips its mechanics so that rather than dealing damage, Stellar-Conduct deploys a special area called the Polestar Field that gives Cryo and Electro DMG% to the party while simultaneously lowering the Physical RES of the enemies inside the field.
Stellar Swirl, on the other hand, is converted from Cryo Swirl. Rather than a Polestar Field, this reaction creates a Stellar Vortex that deals damage after exploding and at intervals. The damage and range of the vortex increases the more Stellar Swirls are triggered.
Remaining within the bounds of this Polestar field enables the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state, while triggering a single Stellar Swirl already applies the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state. The state is active for the entire party and depending on their abilities, this state grants each character specific buffs or advantages.

Note! | Stellar-Conduct follows the same reaction formula as Lunar Reactions. This means that regular elemental DMG% Goblets do not buff Stellar-Conduct like other reactions, which is why Stellar-Conduct damage-dealers want to have ATK% Goblets instead. |
|---|
This setup uses a teammate lineup that is very similar to other Stellar-Conduct DPSes, and this is due to Odette and Alyosha being released as Stellar Reaction supports and Miko being the current best Off-Field Electro character for this team.
Premium Stellar-Conduct Traveler Team Rotation
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start the rotation with Yae Miko. Use her Skill (x3). |
| 2 | Switch to Odette. Deploy her Skill (x2). |
| 3 | Swap to Alyosha. Do Skill followed by Burst. |
| 4 | Field the Traveler. Use their Skill to create a Frostpierce Star. Use a combination of Normal and Charged attacks to build Frostglow stacks. End the combo with Burst to consume all the stacks. └ One of Cryo Traveler's optimal combo should be: Skill → [ Normal Attack (x2) → Charged Attack (x2) ] x2 → Normal Attack (x2) → Burst → Normal Attack (x2) → Charged Attack |
| 5 | Repeat from Step 1. |

Alyosha | Qiqi Nicole Escoffier Beidou Diona Sucrose | - Like in other Stellar-Conduct teams, Alyosha is the most replaceable teammate in this lineup due to being a 4-star. His buff value is slightly higher the more Constellations you have, but this isn't as impactful as Illuga's C6 is for Zibai. - Any synergistic Off-Field character that provides desirable stats like ATK%, RES Shred and Stellar-Conduct DMG% should all be decent alternatives. |
Odette | Alyosha Qiqi Nicole Beidou Diona Sucrose Escoffier Rosaria | - Odette's personal damage is hard to replicate since she can deal direct Stellar-Conduct DMG with her Dance Double. - You can, however, make do with other Off-Field characters that will provide usable stat boosts or opt for teammates with decent Cryo application to gain more stacks for the Stellar Prism (which increases the damage dealt by Stellar-Conduct for every stack). |
Yae Miko | Beidou Fischl | - Yae Miko currently has no real competition for the Off-Field Electro slot in terms of raw DPS. This is due to her damage output being significant enough that she contributes around 30-40% of the total team DPS. Expect the alternatives to have lower damage potential. - However, it is also possible to deploy Beidou, who also received similar buffs, as a passable but weaker Miko alternative if you do not have her or do not want to wish for her. - Fischl should perform better than Beidou if you have Nicole to activate the Hexerei Resonance effect, which opens up a wide array of extra buffs through Fischl and Nicole's Hexerei passives and through the Celestial Gift set. |
Stellar Swirl Traveler Team

![]() Cryo Traveler | Exaiphanes Blade└ A 5-star sword with a Traveler-exclusive passive that you can obtain for free in Version 7.0. Tenacity of the Millelith x4Main ATK% / ATK% / CRIT Rate or DMG Sub 1. Energy Recharge 2. CRIT Rate or DMG 3. ATK% or Elementa Mastery |
![]() Odette | Whitelake Frostfeather Heart of the Furnace x4Main ATK% / ATK% / CRIT Rate or DMG Sub 1. CRIT Rate or DMG 2. ATK% 3. Energy Recharge or Elemental Mastery |
![]() Mizuki | Sunny Morning Sleep-in Scarlet Proof x4Main Elemental Mastery / Elemental Mastery / Elemental Mastery or CRIT Sub 1. CRIT Rate or DMG 2. Elemental Mastery 3. Energy Recharge └ Remember to complete Mizuki's Witch's Revelation quest to enable her adjustments and Stellar Swirl buffs! |
![]() C6 Faruzan | Favonius Warbow Viridescent Venerer x4Main Energy Recharge / Anemo DMG% or ATK (use whichever gives ER) / CRIT Rate (for Favonius Warbow) Sub 1. Energy Recharge 2. CRIT Rate (for Favonius Warbow) |
Note! | Stellar-Conduct follows the same reaction formula as Lunar Reactions. This means that regular elemental DMG% Goblets do not buff Stellar-Conduct like other reactions. Since Swirl is mainly an Elemental Mastery-scaling reaction, there is a high likelihood that Stellar Swirl characters will mostly want to be built with EM. |
|---|
Version 7.0 introduces Sellar Swirl as a new Stellar Glimmer Reaction alongside Stellar-Conduct. Unlike their Stellar-Conduct gameplay, Cryo Traveler in a Stellar Swirl team is more Off-Field-oriented, and can provide Cryo Application just by deploying their Skill, then Burst.
Since Mizuki is a recipient of a Witch's Revelation buff, she is currently the most appropriate option for the role of On-Field character in this comp until a dedicated Stellar Swirl DPS is released.
Stellar Swirl Traveler Team Rotation
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start the rotation with Odette's Skill. Use it again to allow the Dance Double to deal Stellar Swirl DMG. |
| 2 | Swap to the Traveler. Use their Skill, then Burst. You can use their special Charged Attack after Skill, but it's not necessary. |
| 3 | Deploy Faruzan's Skill, then Burst. If you do not have her C6, you will need to use Charged Attacks to gain Energy to Burst. |
| 4 | Swap to Mizuki. Use her Skill. Move around enemies to trigger Swirls until her Skill state expires. |
| 5 | Repeat from Step 1. |

Odette | Alyosha Qiqi Nicole Diona Sucrose Escoffier Rosaria | - Odette's personal damage is hard to replicate since she can deal direct Stellar DMG with her Dance Double. - You can, however, make do with other Off-Field characters that will provide usable stat boosts or opt for teammates with decent Cryo application or damage. |
Mizuki | Varka Wanderer Ifa Shikanoin Heizou Venti | - Until they release a dedicated Stellar Swirl DPS, Mizuki is projected to be the best option for the On-Field role. - The alternatives will most likely be Anemo characters that can trigger Swirl consistently. |
Faruzan | Sucrose Qiqi Diona Lan Yan | - Faruzan's CRIT DMG buff from her C6 and the additional Pressurized Collapse trigger allows for strong RES shred uptime and a decent increase that can compete with Sucrose's Elemental Mastery (EM) sharing in Stellar Swirl teams. - Naturall, Faruzan can be substituted with Sucrose if no other team is using her. Other synergistic Stellar Reaction supports or RES shredders are also serviceable. - A secondary Anemo character is pivotal for vortex generation since Stellar Swirl requires consistent Swirl triggers, so this slot should ideally contain an Anemo character. |
Stellar-Conduct Support Traveler Team

![]() Nicole | Angelos' Heptades 2-piece ATK% x2 2-piece ATK% x2 or Noblesse Oblige x4Main ATK% / ATK% / ATK% Sub 1. ATK% 2. Flat ATK |
Note! | Stellar-Conduct follows the same reaction formula as Lunar Reactions. This means that regular elemental DMG% Goblets do not buff Stellar-Conduct like other reactions, which is why Stellar-Conduct damage-dealers want to have ATK% Goblets instead. |
|---|
For Off-Field Cryo Traveler teams, they will most likely function as an Odette substitute for non-Stellar Linchpin DPSes that can deal direct Stellar-Conduct DMG, such as Wriothesely and Cyno.
Stellar-Conduct Support Traveler Team
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start the rotation with Nicole's Skill. No need to use Burst. |
| 2 | Swap to Yae Miko. Use her Skill (x3). |
| 3 | Switch to the Traveler. Deploy their Skill, perform at least one Charged Attack or Normal Attack. Use their Burst. |
| 4 | Swap to Wriothesley. Use his Skill to enter his Chilling Penalty state. Use Normal Attacks to lower his HP to the threshold needed to activate his special Charged Attack. Once you see the red indicator, hold his Normal Attack to use his special Charged Attack. Keep doing this until any of the key supports' abilities expire. └ One of Wriothesley's optimal combos should be: Skill → [ Normal Attack (x5) → Charged Attack ] x3 → Normal Attack (x2) |
| 5 | Repeat from Step 1. |

Nicole | Beidou Diona | - Replacing Nicole results is way less damage potential from this Wriothesley's team since her teamwide ATK% buff is currently unique to her. - Shielders with Stellar-Conduct synergy will be a little more favorable versus generic shielders, with an emphasis on Beidou and Diona who also part of the Witch's Revelation system and have gotten relevant Stellar-Conduct buffs. |
Wriothesley | Sandrone Cyno Lohen | - The Cryo Traveler has bare minimum synergy with the other Stellar-Conduct DPSes, more so as a reaction enabler, so you can safely substitute Wriothesley for any of them. - Like Odette, Cryo Traveler can be played with a Cryo or Electro On-Field DPS that doesn't deal direct Stellar-Conduct DMG since they can still make use of and interact with the reaction's mechanics. This option is more serviceable if you have Yae Miko to contribute direct Stellar-Conduct DMG. |

Note! | Stellar-Conduct follows the same reaction formula as Lunar Reactions. This means that regular elemental DMG% Goblets do not buff Stellar-Conduct like other reactions, which is why Stellar-Conduct damage-dealers want to have ATK% Goblets instead. |

Since Cryo Traveler is free, you can form a usable F2P Stellar-Conduct team with them alongside any Stellar Reaction Support and an Electro or Cryo Sub-DPS that you have access to.
F2P Stellar-Conduct Traveler Team Rotation
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start the rotation with Fischl. Use her Skill or Burst, whichever is currently available. |
| 2 | Swap to Beidou. Hold her Skill until maximum charge, then release. Use her Burst. |
| 3 | Switch to Alyosha. Deploy his Skill, followed by his Burst. |
| 4 | Field the Traveler. Use their Skill to create a Frostpierce Star. Use a combination of Normal and Charged attacks to build Frostglow stacks. End the combo with Burst to consume all the stacks. |
| 5 | Repeat from Step 1. |
Substitute Characters

|---|---|---|
Alyosha | Qiqi Nicole Escoffier Beidou Diona Sucrose | - In terms of F2P availability, Alyosha is the only character that provides a Stellar-Conduct DMG% buff, not counting 5-stars. The next best alternative is Qiqi, who also has a similar buff and consolidates the healer role on the team as well. - Any synergistic Off-Field character that provides desirable stats like ATK% and RES Shred should also be a decent alternative. |
![]() Beidou | Odette Alyosha Qiqi Nicole Diona Sucrose Escoffier Rosaria | - Beidou functions as the secondary buffer once you equip her with a utility set like Noblesse Oblige. - If you have her C6, she will grant Electro and Cryo RES Shred. - You can flex other offensive supports you have available, such as Nicole for a teamwide ATK buff or RES Shredders with Cryo or Electro application like Escoffier. |
Fischl | Yae Miko Beidou Ororon | - Fischl fills the Sub-DPS role that Yae Miko takes on in the premium Stellar-Conduct teams. Unlike Miko, she doesn't deal direct Stellar-Conduct DMG, but Cryo Traveler's On-Field playstyle does warrant usage of Normal Attacks, which can trigger her 'Begone Thy Sinful Hex' passive. - While it isn't as good as Miko's output, she is one of the stronger 4-star Electro Sub-DPSes. - Of course, if you do have Miko, she should be included in the lineup for better overall DPS. - Ororon or Beidou can fulfill the same function, but their damage potential is much less than Fischl's at base investment (C0). |
