Cryo Traveler Is Designed for Stellar Teams

Cryo Traveler is an accessible Stellar Glimmer reaction character that can be played as a Support for another teammate, as an enabler for Stellar Glimmer Reactions, or as an On-Field DPS that deals direct Stellar-Conduct or Stellar Swirl DMG.

They can make for a convincing damage-type character upon utilizing the new Stellar Glimmer mechanics and reactions, but the existence of the Exaiphanes Blade, which is a CRIT main-stat sword with a strong Traveler-exclusive passive is one of the larger contributors to their competitive performance in comparison to other Traveler forms.

Stellar Glimmer Reactions

The official umbrella term for both Stellar reactions is Stellar Glimmer.

Stellar-Conduct builds on Superconduct as the base reaction, requiring Electro and Cryo application, but flips its mechanics so that rather than dealing damage, Stellar-Conduct deploys a special area called the Polestar Field that gives Cryo and Electro DMG% to the party while simultaneously lowering the Physical RES of the enemies inside the field.

Stellar Swirl, on the other hand, is converted from Cryo Swirl. Rather than a Polestar Field, this reaction creates a Stellar Vortex that deals damage after exploding and at intervals. The damage and range of the vortex increases the more Stellar Swirls are triggered.

Remaining within the bounds of this Polestar field enables the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state, while triggering a single Stellar Swirl already applies the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state. The state is active for the entire party and depending on their abilities, this state grants each character specific buffs or advantages.

Note!	Stellar-Conduct follows the same reaction formula as Lunar Reactions. This means that regular elemental DMG% Goblets do not buff Stellar-Conduct like other reactions, which is why Stellar-Conduct damage-dealers want to have ATK% Goblets instead.

This setup uses a teammate lineup that is very similar to other Stellar-Conduct DPSes, and this is due to Odette and Alyosha being released as Stellar Reaction supports and Miko being the current best Off-Field Electro character for this team.

His buff value is slightly higher the more Constellations you have, but this isn't as impactful as Illuga's C6 is for Zibai. - Any synergistic Off-Field character that provides desirable stats like ATK%, RES Shred and Stellar-Conduct DMG% should all be decent alternatives.
Odette	Alyosha Qiqi Nicole Beidou DionaSucroseEscoffier Rosaria	- Odette's personal damage is hard to replicate since she can deal direct Stellar-Conduct DMG with her Dance Double. - You can, however, make do with other Off-Field characters that will provide usable stat boosts or opt for teammates with decent Cryo application to gain more stacks for the Stellar Prism (which increases the damage dealt by Stellar-Conduct for every stack).
Yae Miko	Beidou Fischl	- Yae Miko currently has no real competition for the Off-Field Electro slot in terms of raw DPS. This is due to her damage output being significant enough that she contributes around 30-40% of the total team DPS. Expect the alternatives to have lower damage potential. - However, it is also possible to deploy Beidou, who also received similar buffs, as a passable but weaker Miko alternative if you do not have her or do not want to wish for her. - Fischl should perform better than Beidou if you have Nicole to activate the Hexerei Resonance effect, which opens up a wide array of extra buffs through Fischl and Nicole's Hexerei passives and through the Celestial Gift set.

Since Swirl is mainly an Elemental Mastery-scaling reaction, there is a high likelihood that Stellar Swirl characters will mostly want to be built with EM.

Version 7.0 introduces Sellar Swirl as a new Stellar Glimmer Reaction alongside Stellar-Conduct. Unlike their Stellar-Conduct gameplay, Cryo Traveler in a Stellar Swirl team is more Off-Field-oriented, and can provide Cryo Application just by deploying their Skill, then Burst.

Since Mizuki is a recipient of a Witch's Revelation buff, she is currently the most appropriate option for the role of On-Field character in this comp until a dedicated Stellar Swirl DPS is released.

Other synergistic Stellar Reaction supports or RES shredders are also serviceable. - A secondary Anemo character is pivotal for vortex generation since Stellar Swirl requires consistent Swirl triggers, so this slot should ideally contain an Anemo character.

Wriothesley	Sandrone Cyno Lohen	- The Cryo Traveler has bare minimum synergy with the other Stellar-Conduct DPSes, more so as a reaction enabler, so you can safely substitute Wriothesley for any of them. - Like Odette, Cryo Traveler can be played with a Cryo or Electro On-Field DPS that doesn't deal direct Stellar-Conduct DMG since they can still make use of and interact with the reaction's mechanics. Fischl	Yae Miko Beidou Ororon	- Fischl fills the Sub-DPS role that Yae Miko takes on in the premium Stellar-Conduct teams. Unlike Miko, she doesn't deal direct Stellar-Conduct DMG, but Cryo Traveler's On-Field playstyle does warrant usage of Normal Attacks, which can trigger her 'Begone Thy Sinful Hex' passive. - While it isn't as good as Miko's output, she is one of the stronger 4-star Electro Sub-DPSes. - Of course, if you do have Miko, she should be included in the lineup for better overall DPS. - Ororon or Beidou can fulfill the same function, but their damage potential is much less than Fischl's at base investment (C0).
