Lohen's playstyle comes down to building up his Will to Win stacks. Will to Win is generated when a party member deals damage to enemies. This means Lohen prefers to be in teams alongside a Sub-DPS that contributes a decent amount of personal damage while Off-Field.

Note!	Lohen's Melt team with Durin triggers true or forward Melt (Pyro on Cryo), which has a higher damage multiplier of x2, compared to reverse Melt (Cryo on Pyro), which is only x1.5.

This Melt team focuses on allowing Durin to trigger Melt off of his Elemental Burst in his Denial of Darkness mode, which has a Melt and Vaporize DMG% self-buff. It'll likely be the best performing Lohen team thanks to the higher damage multiplier from true or forward Melt.

Citlali	Rosaria Shenhe Xilonen Sucrose	- There will be a noticeable dip in damage if Citlali is replaced due to the loss of her Cryo and Pyro RES shred. - The best alternatives for Citlali are other Cryo Supports. They perform the same function of activating Cryo Resonance and ensuring Durin triggers a lot of Melt. - Another option is to use an Elemental RES shredder, at the cost of losing Cryo Resonance and Melt hits. - Xilonen can only trigger Pyro Crystallize here, so Lohen won't receive the DMG% buff from the Cinder City set. - Sucrose is your only other Hexerei option if you don't have both Durin and Nicole.
Nicole	Bennett Kazuha Furina Citlali Sucrose Xilonen Albedo	- It is difficult to replace Nicole for the Lohen-Durin pairing since, as ATK scalers, they greatly benefit from Nicole's teamwide ATK% buff and an active Pyro Resonance. Expect the alternatives to have worse results. - Bennett isn't ideal since his ATK% buff isn't teamwide. However, he is a viable option if you're using Xiangling instead of Durin, as her Burst can 'snapshot' Bennett's buff, allowing it to persist even when she is Off-Field. - Your other options should be supports that can buff Durin or another competent Sub-DPS like Albedo, who you can pair with Xilonen to further increase his personal damage.
Durin	Xiangling Mavuika Thoma	- Lohen wants a team where the Sub-DPSes contribute a decent amount of damage, so Durin is the most ideal option because not only do he and Lohen enable each other's Hexerei passives, but because Durin's damage in his Denial of Darkness mode should easily generate Will to Win stacks. - As a rule of thumb, a competent Pyro Sub-DPS who can make use of Nicole's ATK% buff should be a viable alternative.

The other Melt Lohen team variation shifts the DPS focus to Lohen instead of Durin by introducing a Dendro teammate like Emilie to activate Burning. This results in Pyro being the dominant application on an enemy, therefore enabling Lohen to trigger Melt off of his attacks and abilities.

Emilie	Nahida Lauma Yaoyao	- Emilie alone might not satisfy Lohen's gameplay condition regarding Off-Field damage, but she should still be the better Dendro character for Burning-related teams thanks to her passive that reduces the Burning self-damage. - Other options will simply be Dendro applicators, who might be more serviceable if you have Durin to carry the responsibility of stacking for Lohen.
Nicole	Bennett Xilonen Zhongli Mavuika Thoma (C6)	- Nicole might seem more replaceable here since Durin may not be doing as much DPS, but she should still be the best option for Lohen because apart from her teamwide ATK% buff, her shield is what allows Lohen to perform uninterrupted combos. - Bennett is still a decent replacement (more so if you're using Xiangling over Durin), but it is less comfortable since you'll be confined to his Burst area and can be interrupted by enemy attacks. - The main goal of this team is to allow Lohen to be triggering the Melts more, so your best Nicole alternatives would be generic RES shredders like Zhongli, or other Pyro characters (with usable buffs) to still enable Pyro Resonance.
Durin	Xiangling Mavuika	- As mentioned, Lohen wants a team consisting of Off-Field teammates that can contribute a decent amount of their own personal damage. - This Melt team variation makes it so that Durin triggers fewer Melts, but you still want a Pyro Sub-DPS to deal decent Off-Field damage for Lohen's Will to Win stacks.

Lohen can make a convincing Freeze Cryo On-Field DPS when paired with Escoffier and Furina. Because Escoffier's Cryo and Hydro RES shred passive is much better when the team only has Cryo or Hydro units, this Lohen team needs to have Mona in order to have access to his Hexerei passive.

Furina	Yelan Xingqiu	- Furina is the most replaceable character in this team variation, but she is still one of the best choices for optimal DPS, especially since she should also contribute her own personal damage. - Yelan and Xingqiu can cover the Off-Field Hydro application to maintain the Freeze reaction, with Yelan being the preferred option since she provides a DMG% buff with her Burst.
Escoffier	Shenhe Mika Citlali	- Escoffier is much harder to replace than Furina because of her Cryo and Hydro RES shred. You have options to flex any other Cryo Support or even a Cryo Healer to at least gain Cryo Resonance, but the loss of the RES shred will cause a significant DPS decrease, especially since Lohen will be doing most of the damage in this setup. - Furina's HP drain encourages a teamwide healer, so make sure to take that into account as well.
Mona	-	- There might not be a good alternative for Mona in Lohen's Freeze comp since she's the only Hexerei character that lets the team have access to Escoffier's maximum RES Shred amount. - Even at the cost of disabling Lohen's Hexerei passive, more substitutes may become available and could be worth exploring, but this will require testing upon his release to determine their viability.

If you want to deal damage that's considered good enough to tackle endgame content, Lohen's Freeze team might need to include the premium Freeze supports, Escoffier and Furina, in order to make up for the absence of Lohen's best teammates, which are Nicole and Durin.
