The First Miasmic Contact is automatically unlocked upon progressing through the quest, Chasm Spelunker. This means players will have to go through the Chasm Spelunker quest line to be able to get this quest.

Defeat The Two Abyss Mages

After taking a photo of the location, a Pyro and Hydro Abyss Mage will spawn. You will need to defeat both of them to be able to progress through the story.
