The shield can easily be removed with continuous application of elemental damage. Catalyst characters are great for this, as well as characters that have skills that deal continous Elemental attacks.

Respawns After One Server Day
After defeating Hydro Abyss Mage, you need to wait for the server reset the next day for it to respawn.

Enkanomiya Locations
Route 1 - Dainichi Mikoshi Location

Go to the Dainichi Mikoshi, and from the teleport waypoint, head towards the north staircase.

From the stairs, go down and you will found one (1) Abyss Mage.

One (1) Abyss Mage can be found at the edge of the southern cliff.

Two (2) Abyss Mages are located at the bottom of the cliff, at the east side of Dainichi Mikoshi.

From the teleport waypoint, you can spot one (1) Abyss Mage at the north area.
Route 2 - The Serpent's Heart Location

Go to the Serpent's Heart and proceed to the north area.

Two (2) Abyss Mages are located at the north side of the teleport waypoint.

One (1) Abyss Mage can be found at the north side of the teleport waypoint.

There is also one (1) located at the northwestern side of the teleport waypoint.
Route 3 - The Narrows

Go to the teleport waypoint in The Narrows, and head to northernwestern.

You can spot one (1) Abyss Mage at the end of the road. After defeating it, go further southwest.

You can find two (2) Abyss Mages inside the ruins.
Route 4 - Evernight Temple

You can spot one (1) Abyss Mage at the northeast of the teleport waypoint. After defeating it, proceed northwest.

One is located at the edge of the cliff.

Inazuma Abyss Mage Locations
Route 1 - Kujou Encampment Location

You can spot two (2) Abyss Mages at the beach in the northwest area.

One (1) Abyss Mage located at the southside of the beach.

You can spot two (2) Abyss Mages at the beach shore in the west side.

Three (3) Abyss Mages can be found at the northern beach shore.

From the Teleport waypoint in south of Tatarasuna, proceed to the sialnd on the eastern side.
Liyue (Lisha Area) Abyss Mage Locations

Go to the teleport waypoint in the west side of Mt. Tianheng, then glide down towards the east waterfall.

You can find one (1) Abyss Mage inside the cave.

Once can be found in the middle of the river.

Go towards the cave at the end of the river.

Go to the west side of Mt. Tianheng, near the domain. Then go to the bottom of the cliff, towards the Hilichurl campsite.

At Lingju Pass, from the ruins you can spot 4 Abyss Mages. Three (3) are located at the ruins and one (1) located above the ruins. Please check the image above for reference.

Still, from the ruins in Lingju Pass, go upstairs and head south.

From the north side of the QIngxiu pool, go to the Hilichurl campsite indicated on the image above.

From the north side of Qingxiu pool, go to the bottom area. Check the image above for reference.
Liyue (Minlin area) Abyss Mage Locations

Go to the north teleport waypoint in Jueyun Karst. Then from the teleport waypoint, go to the abandoned hut indicated in the image above.

Go to the teleport waypoint in Luhua Pool. At the bottom of the cliff, you can already spot one (1) Abyss Mage.

Go to the west of Luhua Pool, then proceed to the cliff on the other side. Check the image above for reference.

Go to the west of Cuijue Slope. An Abyss Mage is located on the slanted cliff.

At the west side of the Cuijue Slope, farther, located above the mountain, you can spot one (1) Abyss Mage.

Go down to the cliff where you can spot one (1) Abyss Mage.

Go down to the other cliff.

Go down to the Mt. Hulao, on the east side.

Once you go down to the mid-part of the Mt. Hulao (east) you can easily spot the Abyss Mage.

Cryo Abyss Mage
Go to the Dainichi Mikoshi, and from the teleport waypoint, head towards the north staircase.
