How To Defeat Electro Hypostasis
Recommended Free Party
By having two Pyro users in your party, you'll get an Elemental Resonance buff giving you +25% attack power. We strongly recommend Pyro for this boss as you can frequently trigger Overload!
Lower Defense With Kaeya
Since the Electro Hypostasis is covered in Electro, using Kaeya's ice Elemental Skill will always trigger a Superconduct, lowering its defense! Once the Hypostasis becomes vulnerable, immediately hit it with Kaeya's Elemental Skill.
Attack With Kaeya and Xiangling
Amber and Barbara, unfortunately, don't deal that much damage. As such, we recommend using them primarily for their Elemental Skills, and focusing on attacking with Kaeya and Xiangling.
Recommended Premium Party
This party likewise has two Pyro users for the +15% ATK Elemental Resonance buff. It also can deal massive damage with Elemental reaction combos.
Trigger Tons of Elemental Reactions
Set up Qiqi and Mona's Elemental Skills first and then switch into Diluc to trigger multiple elemental reactions. You'll be able to lower its defense and deal massive damage using Diluc.
Electro Hypostasis - Battle Strategy
Attack When Its Core Is Exposed
Dealing damage while the cubes are surrounding the core won't do anything - the cubes will periodically leave and give you an opening to strike. Don't waste your time attacking it while it's protected!
Use Elemental Skills To Prevent Healing
When the boss's HP gets low it will spawn three cores on the field. If you don't destroy these within a certain amount of time, the boss will heal itself up. These cores only take damage from elemental abilities, so don't waste time using regular attacks!
Run In During Rotating Beam
During the Electro Hypostasis's rotating laser beam ability, you'll want to run directly in the center and damage the core! When the beam ends, however, the cubes will reconvene in the center dealing damage, so make sure to get out in time.
TIP | The beams can be dodged by jumping OR by swapping characters right when a beam hits you. |

Get Far Away During Cube Wave
For this attack, Electro Hypostasis will shoot out undulating waves of purple at you. Don't even bother trying to attack the boss here! Instead, just run to the edge of the battlefield and focus on dodging all cube waves. The closer you are, the more dangerous it is.
Imprison Ability Is A Chance To Attack
The Imprison ability will surround you with purple pillars and then shower the shut off area with thunder. If you avoid these and get out, you can deal massive damage to the core. Even if you get imprisoned, just quickly destroy one pillar to get out before the thunder hits!
Don't Electro Abilities
Since Electro Hypostasis is unsurprisingly the Electro type, it is thus immune to Electro abilities. Don't bother using them!
Electro Hypostasis Attack Patterns
Drill Charge
The Hypostasis takes the shape of a drill and charges forward in the direction of your character. Dash to the side to dodge it.
Rock Paper Scissors
The Hypostasis will perform 3 attacks in the shape of Rock, Paper, Scissors move. It will first punch forward in the shape of a fist, then do a scissors attack, and finally clamp down from above like Paper. All three abilities can be avoided by dashing, so save up some stamina. It is also possible for this ability to be interrupted midway.
Imprison / Thunder
The boss will try to trap you into a circular section of the map, and then call down thunder to hit you. Try to avoid getting imprisoned in the first place!
Flying Cubes
The boss sends 4 cubes flying in your direction. Dash after you see them start flying, as they'll move in your direction.
Cube Clap
A clap attack. As soon as you see the animation start, dash away!
Rotating Beam
Four squares begin rotating around the core and firing a powerful laser. The core is vulnerable in the center, and you won't take damage there, so that's the best way to dodge. At the end of the ability the cubes will converge on the core again and do damage, so you'll have to get out in time.
Cube Wave
Sends out purple waves that deal massive damage. This is easier to dodge the further away from the boss you are. Don't bother attacking, keep calm, and from far away.
