After finishing the "Chronicler of the Crumbling City" quest line, the next immediate quest "An Omen of Annihilation and the Final Entreaty" is started, which is the one and only sub-quest in the "A Finale Emberforged" quest line. Approaching the structure at the center of the map formally starts the quest line. There will be an option to review related quests using the "Recollection" feature.

Complete the "An Omen of Annihilation and the Final Entreaty" quest
- Approach the structure at the center of the map
- Remember to open the chests - Submit the Golden Entreaties
- Click on the 'Enter the Light' and agree to the enter the Heart of the Sacred Mountain
Attempt to defeat the "Source Dragon Mech"- Save the your companions
- Speak to the one who names themselves "Kukulkan"
Go to Huitzilopochtli's location- Choose to cancel activation of "Sweeping Skyfire", which will progress the quest

Choosing to Activate "Sweeping Skyfire"

Choosing to confirm activation of the "Sweeping Skyfire" three times results to a span of dialogue that implies that the Huitzilopochtli destroyed everything in Natlan. After a few lines of text on a white screen, the game will eventually loop back to the moments before you activated the Sweeping Skyfire. So you can safely choose this option if you want, but only cancelling the activation will progress the quest.

Successfully performing the on-screen prompt will halt the attack and allow you to deal significant damage to Source Dragon Mech's shield.
