What is Item Trade?
Trade Materials with NPCs in Each Field

Item Trade in Monster Hunter Wilds is a system where you can trade materials with specific NPCs in each field. By providing the designated materials, you can receive items used for Equipment crafting and cooking.
Icons Appear on the Map

NPCs for Item Trade will appear as icons on the map. Since they move around the area, if they are not at the location shown in the image above, try checking the map for their icon's location.
Rare Materials for Armor Also Appear
Some of the materials available through Item Trade are rare and essential for armor crafting. Since obtaining these materials unlocks armor, be sure to trade for them when you see them.
Materials Appear Randomly
The materials available through Item Trade are random. Rare materials tend to be harder to obtain, so if you don't get what you need, keep updating the item lineup patiently.

▼What to do if the NPC is not there
Trade Available from Nata Without Visiting the Locations

Once you have spoken to and unlocked Item Trade with an NPC, you can also trade with them through Nata at Base Camp. This means you don’t have to visit each area to trade, so just talk to Nata to trade once the NPC is unlocked.
Refresh Item Stock
Resting at Base Camp

The Item Trade lineup can be refreshed by advancing time by resting at Base Camp. Each time it costs 300 Guild Points.
Lineup Also Refreshes Over Time
The lineup also updates as in-game time progresses. If you don’t urgently need specific materials, continue with the story or quests, and check the lineup again after some time has passed.
What to Do If the NPC Is Not There
Set the Time to Day and Visit Again

NPCs may disappear from the map, especially during late night or early morning. Change the time to daytime by resting at Base Camp and try visiting again.
