What is Item Trade?

Trade Materials with NPCs in Each Field

Item Trade in Monster Hunter Wilds is a system where you can trade materials with specific NPCs in each field. By providing the designated materials, you can receive items used for Equipment crafting and cooking.

Icons Appear on the Map

Icons Appear on the Map

NPCs for Item Trade will appear as icons on the map. Since they move around the area, if they are not at the location shown in the image above, try checking the map for their icon's location.

Rare Materials for Armor Also Appear

Some of the materials available through Item Trade are rare and essential for armor crafting. Since obtaining these materials unlocks armor, be sure to trade for them when you see them.

Materials Appear Randomly

The materials available through Item Trade are random. Rare materials tend to be harder to obtain, so if you don't get what you need, keep updating the item lineup patiently.

Gold Melding/Relic Tickets

Gold Melding/Relic Tickets are Recommended

The most recommended items obtainable via Item Trade are the “Gold Melding Ticket” and “Gold Relic Ticket.” Both can be used as materials for Melding.

Used to Craft Decorations & Artian Parts

In Melding, the Gold Melding Ticket is used for crafting Decorations, while the Gold Relic Ticket is used for crafting Artian parts. Both offer an exceptional 1,200 Melding Points, making crafting highly efficient.

Materials for Armor Crafting are Also Available

You can also use Item Trade to obtain materials for armor crafting. They can be obtained by exchanging items like Ancient Wyvern Coin.

Item Trade NPC Locations

Windward Plains

The Item Trade NPC in Windward Plains is Kirama in Kunafa Village. Kirama often walks around the village, so check the map to find their icon.

Scarlet Forest

The trade NPCs in ‘Scarlet Forest’ are Kirakamen and Mekikimashu in Wudwud Hideout. Kirakamen sits immediately to the right after using Fast Travel to enter the hideout, while Mekikimashu is sitting around a campfire further in on the left side.

Oilwell Basin

The trade NPCs in Oilwell Basin are Aida, Yaburan, and Guard in Fire Kiln Village Azus. All three move around the village, so look for the Item Trade icon.

Iceshard Cliffs

The trade NPC in Iceshard Cliffs is Rove, found at Base Camp or Area 20. Check the map to see the location of the Item Trade icon.

Sekka Location

The trade NPC in Suja is Sekka, near the Tent. Sekka sometimes moves around the area, so look for the Item Trade icon.

Ruins of Wysteria

The trade NPC in Ruins of Wysteria is Ren in Guardian’s Village Sild. If Ren is talking to another NPC, you won't be able to trade, so wait for the conversation to end.

Trade Available from Nata Without Visiting the Locations

Trade Available from Nata Without Visiting the Locations

Once you have spoken to and unlocked Item Trade with an NPC, you can also trade with them through Nata at Base Camp. This means you don’t have to visit each area to trade, so just talk to Nata to trade once the NPC is unlocked.

Refresh Item Stock

Resting at Base Camp

Resting at Base Camp is Recommended

The Item Trade lineup can be refreshed by advancing time by resting at Base Camp. Each time it costs 300 Guild Points.

Lineup Also Refreshes Over Time

The lineup also updates as in-game time progresses. If you don’t urgently need specific materials, continue with the story or quests, and check the lineup again after some time has passed.

What to Do If the NPC Is Not There

Set the Time to Day and Visit Again

Set the Time to Day and Visit Again

NPCs may disappear from the map, especially during late night or early morning. Change the time to daytime by resting at Base Camp and try visiting again.
