How To Join a Squad in Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds). This includes Squad Information Counter location, how to create, joining methods, and how to leave a squad in MH Wilds!

How to Create a Squad

  1. Select "Manage Squad" from the menu
  2. Select "Create New"
  3. Set up the Squad
  4. Decide on a Squad name to finish

To manage your squad in Monster Hunter Wilds, select “Manage Squad” from the Info section in the menu. The same can be done at the Squad Information Counter in Windward Plains or in the Grand Hub once you have unlocked it.

On the Manage Squad screen, select “Create New” under the option to start a new Squad.

No Requirements for Creation

To create a Squad, you don’t need any items or money. You can create up to 8 Squads.

Next, configure the Squad’s details. This includes member requirements and comments that will be visible to other players. Set the policies that match the kind of Squad you want to create. These settings can also be changed later.

If you enable the Join Procedure option, players will need approval from the leader or sub-leader to join the Squad.

Finally, decide on a name for the Squad to complete the setup. After it's created, you can manage settings and members through Manage Squad. Note that the Squad name cannot be changed later.

Invite Members

Once you’ve created a Squad, invite your friends or players you’ve teamed up with in multiplayer. You can invite others by sharing the Squad ID or sending an invite via the Squad menu.

How to Join a Squad

  1. Select "Manage Squad" from the menu
  2. Select "Conditional Search"
  3. Enter your search criteria
  4. Send a join request from the search results

To join via condition search in Monster Hunter Wilds, select “Manage Squad” from the Info section in the menu. The same can be done at the Squad Information Counter in Windward Plains or in Grand Hub once you have unlocked it.

Choose “Conditional Search” under Join a New Squad.

Fill in each search condition and run the search.

Send Join Request from Results

Search results will appear, so send a join request to the Squad you want to join. Once approved, you'll become a member.

  1. Select "Manage Squad" from the menu
  2. Use the "Squad ID Search" to enter an ID and request to join

Select “Squad ID Search” under Join a New Squad. You’ll be taken to an input screen—enter the ID of the Squad you wish to join and send the request.

  1. Select "Invitation List" from the menu
  2. Select the Squad invitation you want to accept
  3. Approve to join

To join a Squad via invitation in Monster Hunter Wilds, choose “Invitation List” from the Info section in the menu.

Choose the Squad you want to join from the list of received invitations.

Once you select an invitation, options to Approve or Decline will appear. If everything looks good, hit Approve to join the Squad.

How to Leave a Squad

  1. Select “Manage Squad” from the menu
  2. Open the Squad Menu for the squad you want to leave
  3. Select “Leave”

To leave a squad, first select “Manage Squad” from the Info tab in the menu. You can also do this at the Squad Information Counter in Windward Plains or in Grand Hub once you have unlocked it.

From the Manage Squad screen, select the squad you want to leave and open its Squad Menu.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, once a squad name is set, it cannot be changed later.

You Can Only Change It by Creating a New Squad

If you want to change your squad’s name, you’ll need to create a new squad from scratch. All members and chat history will be lost, so make sure to notify your members to move to the new squad before doing so.

What to Do When You Can’t Join a Squad

If your cross-play settings differ from the squad’s, you won’t be able to join it. If you can't join a squad, check both your cross-play settings and the squad’s settings.

Check if You’ve Reached the Squad Limit

The maximum number of squads you can join is 8. If you’ve reached this limit, you won’t be able to join a new one until you leave another.

Join Up to 8 Squads

You can belong to up to 8 Squads. If you're a member of multiple Squads, you can switch your active one from the “Manage Squad” option in the start menu.

At first, the Squad counter is located at the Base Camp in Windward Plains, but after unlocking the Grand Hub, it moves there and disappears from Windward Plains. But you can still access Squad functions from the menu anywhere.
