How to Use Large Barrel Bomb

Deals 80 Damage to Monsters

Deals 80 Damage to Monsters

The Large Barrel Bomb deals 80 damage to monsters it hits with its explosion. This is regardless of the type of monster. If it detonates in a grassy area, the surroundings will catch on fire and will cause continuous damage.

Needs a Trigger to Detonate

The Large Barrel Bomb requires a trigger to detonate. This can be an attack with your weapon or a shot with your Slinger. Do note that monster attacks can also trigger it. When it is rolled, it will explode after 5 seconds if it hits a monster or wall, as well as if it falls off a step.

Increase Damage with Bombardier Skill

Increase Damage with Bombardier Skill

The Bombardier Skill can increase the damage of Ammo type items. If you want to deal more damage with the Large Barrel Bomb, add the Bombardier skill!

Easier to Hit when Monsters are Trapped

Large Barrel Bombs are large and unwieldy, making it difficult to hit fast moving monsters. By restraining the monster in a trap, it becomes easier to hit them with the bomb.

Effective when Used on Sleeping Monsters

Effective when Used on Sleeping Monsters

The damage of the first hit on a sleeping monster is doubled, making it possible to deal 160 damage with just one Large Barrel Bomb. It's an effective way to deal a ton of damage with one hit. This is a good strategy for when the monster goes to sleep or when they fall asleep from Sleep Ammo or Sleep Coating.

Make Sure Not to Hit the Sleeping Monster

When doing this strategy, make sure not to hit the monster with your attack when trying to detonate the bomb. If you hit the monster instead, the damage will be doubled and the Large Barrel Bomb will only deal normal damage. It's better to just roll the Barrel Bomb to the sleeping monster.
