Customize your Character in Detail

Character customization in Monster Hunter Wilds has more detailed settings than their previous work Monster Hunter World. You can create the character you desire by fine-tuning each setting.

Characters Carry Over to the Final Version

Character presets created in the open beta can be transferred to the final version. If you are thinking of transferring your data, we recommend taking time creating your character.

You can also Customize your Palico

In addition to the Palico presets available, you can also make more detailed changes such as patterns, ear and tail type. You can also choose Palico's language and voice.

How to Re-do Character Appearance

Go to the Edit Character Menu

1. Go inside the tent	2. Select Change Appearance

You can edit your character appearance at any time by selecting the Change Appearance option from the base camp menu. It is possible to re-edit your character made after starting a new game (with exception to some settings).

Re-do Your Appearance with Vouchers

Character Edit Vouchers can be used in the save data selection screen to completely re-do your character design from scratch, including your name. You can select whether to edit your Hunter or Palico by selecting the saved data you created.

Get 1 Free Voucher in the Full Released Version

You can get 1 free voucher for both the Hunter and companion from the store after the release of the game. Otherwise this item needs to be purchased, so don't forget to receive it.

Infinite Character Edit Vouchers during Open Beta

During the open beta, you will have an infinite number of Character Edit Vouchers. This allows you to re-edit your character until you are satisfied. Character creation can be carried over to the released version, so aim for something that will satisfy you to save vouchers for the released version.

How to Transfer Character Appearance

Can be done from Edit Menu

You can carry over your Monster Hunter Wilds Character Appearance from Beta Test Data in the Edit Menu when creating your character. If you have not saved your character appearance save data during the beta test, you will not be able to transfer it over.

Important Note

In the beta version, you won't be able to use the same character in the released version if you don't play the game at least once after editing your character. You need to play the game again after editing your character to transfer it to the released game. If you haven't done so in the 1st beta test, you can still do it in the 2nd open beta.
