Receptionist Alma Location

In Front of the Tent at the Base Camp

Receptionist Alma's location is in front of the Hunter's tent when they are at the Base Camp. The tent is on the right side from the Base Camp entrance.

Find Receptionist Alma on the Map

If Receptionist Alma is nowhere to be found, open the map and look for the Quest Counter Icon. On some rare occasions, she may have moved to a location other than the Base Camp.

Alma Follows the Hunter

When the Hunter is out on the field, Receptionist Alma will follow you. When you start engaging with a monster, Receptionist Alma will move away from the area so if you want to talk to her, you must move away from the monster and end the battle.

Receptionist Alma - What She Can Do

Accept and Participate in Quests

You can accept and participate in the quests from Receptionist Alma. If you want to accept a quest, select "Optional Quest", and if you want to participate, select "Lobby Member Quest", "Link Member Quest", or "SOS Flare Quest".

Quest Recruitment

You can also recruit other hunters on the quest acceptance/participation screen. If you want to play cross-play, set platform permissions to "All platforms."

Switch Between Palico Standby/Deployed

Palico's standby settings allow you to switch between Palico standby and deployed. Advantage of having Palico on standby is that the monster's target will be focused on the hunter, making it easier to predict the monster's movements.

Move to Another Lobby

You can move to another lobby by talking to Receptionist Alma. Use this when you want to play on another map with different time zones and weather conditions. You cannot move lobbies during a quest, so you need to return from the quest you have accepted first.

Pick Up Items in the Field

Receptionist Alma can pick up items in the field. The item that she has picked up will be placed in the Field Pouch in the menu.
