What Are Weak Points?

Focus Strike Targets

Focus Strike on the exposed weak point

▲Arkveld's weak point is easy to spot

Attacking a weak point in Monster Hunter Wilds is to perform a Focus Strike directly on the weak point exposed by the monster's specific action. All monsters except Xu Wu have specific weak points, and remembering them will give you an advantage when hunting.

Results Shown in Multiplayer

Displayed as a weak point during Multiplayer

On the multiplayer results screen, the record of successful attacks on Weak Points are shown.

Similar to Wounds Destruction

Attacking a weak point is considered different from destroying wounds, but you can get the same benefits, such as increasing the Spirit Gauge of the Long Sword. Even if it doesn't cause the monster to get knocked down, it is worth going for depending on the weapon type.
