How to Join MultiplayerDifference Between Solo and Multiplayer
Difference | |
---|---|
Solo | - Monster's health is low - You can have a Support Hunter accompany you *Playing with a Support Hunter is considered Multiplayer |
Multiplayer | - Monsters have more health compared to Solo *The more hunting experience you have, the more damage you output, so it doesn't matter too much - The number of usable items increases with the number of people *Traps, etc. can be set up by multiple people |
The key differences between Solo and Multiplayer in the Monster Hunter Wilds Arena are the monster's total health and the number of items you can bring to the arena.
Monster Health is Higher in Multiplayer

▲Damage caused by wall collision when riding
Between Solo and Multiplayer, it's expected that monsters have more health in multiplayer. Therefore, If you don't contribute enough damage, it will take longer than when soloing, so work together with your hunting partner to achieve better clear time by both outputting decent damage.
Support Hunters Can be Used in Solo
If you are soloing, you can have summon one Support Hunter to accompany you. You can decide whether to hunt with a Support Hunter on the equipment selection screen, so If you do not select this option, you will challenge the arena completely alone.
Item Total is Proportionate to the Number of People
The items you have from the beginning when you select Equipment limited to select options with fixed amounts. Therefore, if two people choose a weapon type that can receive Traps, they can receive and set Traps twice. It's easy to shorten your clear times by incorporating the items you have into your strategy.
How to Summon a Support Hunter
On the Equipment Selection Screen, Press the △ Button

You can have only one Support Hunter with you in both Arena or Challenge Quests. On the screen where you accept the quest and depart, press the △ button. The Support Hunter that participates in each quest is fixed and cannot be changed. Also, if you bring the Support Hunter with you, the time will be recorded as a two-player or Multiplayer clear.
Support Hunter GuideMonsters have Multiplayer Health When You Call For Support
The Monster's health in an Arena or Challenge quest after you call a Support Hunter noticeably increases to match its multiplayer health. Since this is more than when you solo it, it is a good idea to call according to your goal, so if you are aiming for the fastest record, go solo, if you want to get a stable clear time, go with support.
How to Check Arena Rankings
Check Rankings on the Expedition Record Board

Rankings for Arena Quests and Challenge Quests can be checked on the Expedition Record Board, located at the entrance to the Grand Hub, under 'Record Rankings'.

Your rank is displayed at the bottom of the "Record Board Rankings" screen. Use this to check your position in the rankings.
What Happens to Cheaters
Lose Records and Rewards
Using cheats or engaging in fraudulent activity in Monster Hunter Wilds can result in the cancellation of your record time and loss of reward eligibility if Capcom determines the activity as cheating during Arena Quests or Challenge Quests. Additionally, your account may be suspended or restricted, so it's crucial to avoid cheating at all costs.
End-User License Agreement (External Site)Be Cautious of Suspicious Players
Even if you are not engaging in any cheating during a multiplayer quest, if a party member cheats, you may also lose your ranking and reward eligibility. Be wary of players showing strange behavior, such as unusually fast quest completion or abnormal movements.
Unintentional Penalties May Still Occur
The official statement from Capcom clarifies that "no compensation will be provided for participation rewards or ranking rewards if a player is unintentionally flagged for cheating." Therefore, be mindful of the possibility of being involved in cheating in random multiplayer sessions.
