Take a rest at one of the Map camps Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, Ruins of Wyveria, and set it to Plenty. Giant Vigorwasp can appear in any time zone, so you don't have to set specific time.
How to Check & Change Weather EnvironmentAccept Quest with Plenty Environment

If you have a Quest with an environment set as Plenty, capturing Giant Vigorwasp during the quest is an option. Also, even if you end the quest midway through Capturing, you will still be able to complete the side mission.
Set it as a Waypoint and Use Auto-Move

It is recommended to use Seikret's Auto-Move to head towards Giant Vigorwasp. Open the map and select Giant Vigorwasp, then set it as a waypoint to head towards it with Auto-Move

Catch Using Capture Net
When you arrive at the location, use "Capture Net" to capture them. Giant Vigorwaspwill not run away when approached, so Ghillie Mantle is not necessary.

Sprinkle Powder That Continuously Recovers the Hunter's HP
Giant Vigorwasp generates powder with an HP recovery effect, and as long as you are in contact with it, your HP will continuously recover. Unlike Potions, which require a drinking animation, the Vigorwasp allows for immediate recovery the moment you touch the powder.
Faster Recovery Speed Than Vigorwasp
Vigorwasp is also an Endemic Life that generates powder with an HP recovery effect. However, when comparing recovery speed, the Giant Vigorwasp is significantly faster.
Can Be Activated From a Distance With Hook Slinger
You can also use the Hook Slinger to spread Giant Vigorwasp powder from a distance without getting close.
You Can Obtain East Honey Through Gathering and Capturing
Giant Vigorwasp can obtain 4 Eastern Honey ingredients during Honey Gathering and Bug Capturing. After gathering honey with the Hook Slinger, you can capture insects with the Capturing Net, and it's possible to obtain up to 8 pieces from a single insect.
Need to Capture in Side Mission

To complete the side mission, A Gutsy Move, you need to capture a Giant Vigorwasp. The mission can be accepted after Chapter 5-3.
