Complete 2 Hunting Monster Quest

An efficient way to collect Decorations in Monster Hunter Wilds is to do runs on quests that have multiple monsters as targets. You can check the number of Decorations you can get by looking at the Bonus Rewards, so you can choose quests that have the most number of rewards. The more difficult the quest is, the easier it is to obtain them. You may be able to obtain more than 15 items per quest.

Great Hunts Guide

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages- You can increase your HR
- You can complete quests with good rewards in multiplayer
- You can get monster materials
- Easy to aim for ones with 2 skills
Disadvantages- High difficulty level for people who are not good at hunting
- The number of rewards depend on luck
- Requires a large amount of Guild Points

The advantage of collecting Decorations in Great Hunt quests is the HR increases quickly, and if you raise it to 100 you will be unlocking more features. However, the disadvantage is that it is difficult to deal with 2 monsters, so it is not suitable for people who are not confident at hunting.

How to Start Great Hunt Runs

  1. Clear the Story up to Chapter 6-1
    - If you just want to unlock Great Hunts, you only need to reach Chapter 5-1
  2. Complete a Side Mission with 2 Tempered Monsters on each Map
  3. Take a rest until you find a Great Hunt quest with good Rewards
  4. Complete the Field Survey and repeat the process

Clear the Story up to Chapter 6-1

Clear the Story up to Chapter 6-1

First, clear the story up to Chapter 6-1. If you just want to unlock quests that lets you hunt 2 monsters you only need to clear Chapter 5-1, but it is easier to aim for high-rarity decorations after clearing 6-1, so it is recommended to finish the story first.

Side Missions are Recommended until HR40

To raise your Hunter rank to HR40, we recommend clearing the side missions. By progressing through side missions, useful features will be unlocked such as Material Retrieval and Palico's new actions.

Clear Quest with 2 Monsters on Each Map

2tempered monster mission

Next, clear a side mission with 2 Tempered Monsters as targets on each map. If you clear that side mission, two monster quests will start to appear in that area, and you can turn them into quests.

Rest Until You See a Quest with 2 Monsters

Take a break select quest with 2 monster

Continue to pass the time by resting in the tent until a quest with 2 monsters appears. These quests usually have better drops when they involve the tougher monsters like Arkveld, so it is recommended to search for a quest during Fallow or Inclemency.

Clear the Quest and Repeat the Farming Process

Clear the Investigation

Save as many Great Hunt quests with good rewards as quests, and once you clear them, repeat the process of finding them again to turn them into quests.

Choose a Quest that suits you

With Tempered Monster

If you just want to collect Decorations, the best quests are ones without Tempered Monsters. The rewards for quests with Tempered Monsters are mostly Artian parts, so choose a quest according to your goal.

Use Melding Tickets

Get 100-160 Decorations in 75 Minutes

Obtained about 100-160 Decoration in 75 Minutes
Estimated TimeTotal: 75 Minutes
Collecting Nightflower Pollen: 60 Minutes
Ticket Exchange: 15 Minutes (10 Times)
Number of DecorationsAncient Orb-Sword (Weapon): About 100 Pieces
Ancient Orb-Armor: About 160 Pieces

You can also try "Wyverian Melding" using Gold Melding Tickets, but the efficiency of obtaining "Nightflower Pollen" required to collect Gold Melding Tickets has been greatly reduced. It takes a long time and requires a large amount of guild points, so it is less efficient than Quest runs.

Depends On Luck

Note that whether Gold Melding Tickets are available for trade depends on luck, so it may take longer than expected. If you want not only Decorations but also Artian Weapon parts, you can also exchange them for "Gold Relic Tickets" if you find it in the trade list.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages- No need to clear Great Hunts
- Easy for those who are not good at hunting
- You can save the tickets until you need it
Disadvantages- Efficiency is significantly lower than Great Hunts
- Requires a large amount of time and guild points

You don't need to clear the quests with 2 monsters to collect Decorations with Melding Tickets, so this is for players who are not confident at hunting. On the other hand, the disadvantage is that it is less efficient than hunting monsters, and requires a large amount of time and guild points to collect Nightflower Pollens.

Nightflower Pollen can only be obtained on full moon nights. Also, there are 7 stages of the moon's shape, and each time you take a break, the shape changes by 1 stage. Check the current shape of the moon, and then repeat the break until just before the full moon. Also, each break requires 500 points, so it's a good idea to prepare your guild points in advance.

Meld Your Ideal Decorations

When you want to make your Favorite Decoration, use Meld Decorations

"Meld Decorations" allows you to meld your ideal Decorations. The advantage is that you can create a specified Decoration instead of a random one, but you cannot obtain a Decoration with combined skills. You will be able to meld those once you reach Hunter Rank 100.

Tips for Farming Decorations

Start Collecting After HR40

Start Collecting Decoration after HR40

It is most efficient to start collecting Decorations after clearing Chapter 6-1 (HR40 or later). Arkveld will appear on the map, the rewards for Great Hunt quests will be better, and you can aim for rarer Decorations with Wyverian Melding, so it's a good idea to start collecting Decorations after clearing the main story (Chapter 6-1).
