Potential Arch-Tempered Monsters

The arrival of Arch-Tempered Rey Dau makes it likely for Arch-Tempered versions of Uth Duna, Nu Udra, and Jin Dahaad to appear in the future since they are the current fan favourites.

It is also possible for Gore Magala to receive an Arch-Tempered form, but it is also possible that the devs behind Monster Hunter Wilds choose to add Shagaru Magala instead.

Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) - Event Quests

Arch-Tempered Rey Dau is set to make its appearance during limited-time event quests. As such, unless event quests become permanent, you will need to hunt Arch-Tempered Rey Dau during its availability.

Requires HR50+

Because the first Arch-Tempered monster to be added to MH Wilds has a pre-requisite of HR50, it is highly likely that future Arch-Tempered monsters will also have the same requirement, possibly even higher than HR50.

What is Arch-Tempered?

Difference Between Arch-Tempered and Tempered Monsters

Info of Arch-Tempered Monsters from past titles.

  1. Health and Attack are Enhanced
  2. Highly resistant to Flash Pod
  3. Added Attack Patterns
  4. Tempered Wounds may not appear

Health and Attack are Enhanced

Arch-tempered monsters have higher health and attack stats than normal Tempered Monsters. With only normal equipment, you may not be able to defeat it within the quest time limit, so strengthen your armor in advance before attempting the quest.

Highly Resistant to Flash Pod

Arch-tempered bosses may take fewer times than Tempered Monsters before Flash Pod becomes ineffective, and flying monsters may not fall even if you use Flash Pods.

Added Attack Patterns

Arch-tempered monsters have new attack patterns that are not found in normal monsters or Tempered Monsters. It also uses the same attack patterns as regular Tempered Monsters, but note that there are additional patterns as well.

Tempered Wounds May Not Appear

The Tempered monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds have old wounds called "Tempered Wounds", but Tempered Wounds cannot be seen in the currently released Arch-tempered monster video. Arch-tempered monsters are very powerful, so it may not have Tempered Wounds.
