The skip button on PS5 is a long press on the "touchpad". It's hard to confuse it with the down button on the D-pad, but there will be no problem if you can just press and hold the touchpad.

All Members Need to Press Skip When in a Party

When hunting in a party, you cannot skip the result by pressing and holding the touchpad by yourself. All party members must press and hold the touchpad to skip. Always take note of this.
