How to Cure or Overcome Frenzy

Continuously Land Attacks

Frenzy Bar

To overcome or cure Frenzy, you must keep landing attacks before the Frenzy gauge fills up. When infected, a Frenzy gauge will appear above your Health bar, so watch the gauge closely and keep attacking to resist the infection.

Nulberry Can Reduce the Frenzy Gauge

Use Nulberry

The Frenzy gauge can be partially reduced by using a Nulberry, making it a useful countermeasure when consistent attacks aren’t possible. This item serves as a fallback to delay Frenzy onset, but it cannot completely reset the gauge, so timely and aggressive offense remains the primary method for overcoming the status.

How to Get Nulberry & Effect

What is Frenzy?

Characteristics of Frenzied Monsters
1Lower Health but More Aggressive
2Some Attacks Can Infect You With Frenzy
3They Rarely Move On Their Own
4Can Receive Rewards Like Frenzy Crystals

Lower Health but More Aggressive

In Monster Hunter Wilds, Frenzied Monsters have lower health but are in a highly aggressive state. Compared to their regular counterparts, they appear darker, with 'Frenzied' added to their names. They exhibit changes in some attack patterns and faster movement speeds.

Suitable for Farming Materials and HR

Compared to regular monsters, Frenzied Monsters have significantly lower health, which leads to shorter hunting times. Since hunting takes less time, this makes them ideal for farming the same type of monster materials or increasing your HR.

How to Raise Hunter Rank

Some Attacks Can Infect You With Frenzy

Some Attacks Infect Frenzy
Effects of Frenzy
Frenzy: Onset- The gauge increases with hits or over time.
- Overcome it by dealing a certain amount of damage before the gauge reaches its maximum.
- If the gauge is blue, it indicates the premonitions of overcoming Frenzy.
Frenzy: Cured- When cured of Frenzy, Affinity is increased by 15%.
Frenzy: Infected- Increased damage taken + no natural recovery.
- The red gauge does not persist when taking damage.

Frenzied Monsters can infect hunters with Frenzy through certain attacks. If overcome (cured), it results in an affinity boost, but if the infection occurs, it brings negative effects.

They Rarely Move On Their Own

Frenzied Monsters rarely move on their own unless triggered by factors like Turf Wars with other monsters. This makes them a convenient choice for efficient farming and quick hunts.

Receive Unique Rewards

Frenzy Crystal from Frenzy Monster

Frenzied Monsters can drop materials like Frenzy Crystals and Frenzy Shards as quest rewards. These are used for certain equipment, but if you no longer need them, selling them is also a good option.
