Decreases health, but raises affinity and weapon stats. Attack and affinity further increased in certain conditions.

Increases Attack 1.1x & Affinity +30%

The Corrupted Mantle reduced health but increases Affinity by 5% and damage by weapon type. If you keep attacking, you will enter a new state where your hunter glows gaining 1.05x Attack and +10% Affinity.

Health will No Longer Decrease When in Glowing State

Your Health will gradually decrease while the Corrupted Mantle is equipped, but will stop decreasing in it the second phase where the hunter glows. Make sure to deal multiple attacks at a short span to activate this phase.

Keep Attacking to Go Into Second Phase

The second phase of the Corrupted Mantle is activated if you are able to deal a certain amount of damage to a monster. However, if the interval between the attacks is long, it will not go into this state. Focus on striking as much as possible in a short amount of time.

Further Additional Damage & Special Gauge Recovery

When you equip the Corrupted Mantle, some weapon attacks may deal additional damage. Since the recovery amount of the Bow and Bowgun's special gauge increases, using the Corrupted Mantle when running a Foray build is recommended.

Wear when Monster is Downed or Before Focus Strike

Wear When Downed or Before Focus Strike

The Corrupted Mantle is recommended to be worn when a monster is down or when you have a chance to attack, such as after a Focus Strike. The second phase lasts until the effect time expires so quickly enter the second phase after wearing it to maintain the buff as much as possible.
