How to Get Ancient Wyvern Coins

Found in Scarlet Forest

In Monster Hunter Wilds, Ancient Wyvern Coins can be efficiently collected in Scarlet Forest. Along with these coins, you can also gather Gobletweed and Chaliceweed, which can be used for Item Trade with Rove.

Set up Pop-Up Camps in Areas 6, 8, and 12 of Scarlet Forest in advance. Directions to each camp can be found in the images above.

Rest in Area 8

Rest at Pop-Up Camp Area 8 for 300 points and change the environment to the Plenty. During the Plenty, the number of items that can be gathered will increase.

Geologist Increases Items Gathered

Activating Geologist Level 2 will increase the number of gatherable items obtained from one to two. The Geologist skill can be found on the Chainmail Equipment set, which is available from the start of the game.

Ancient Wyvern Coins in Area 8

The first Ancient Wyvern Coin can be obtained by capturing a Curioshell Crab, which appears to the right of the Pop-Up Camp in Area 8. The second coin can be found on the left side of the Pop-Up Camp, so use the Slinger to collect it.

Earn Zenny and Guild Points

At the Pop-Up Camp in Area 8, you can also earn Guild Points and Zenny by capturing fish in the nearby water. You can refund the 300 points needed to rest here and also earn Zenny with the scales.

Collect Items in Area 12

After Area 8, fast travel to Area 12. Gather the nearby Gobletweed from the five locations while picking up the Ancient Wyvern Coin near the Pop-Up Camp in Area 12.

Press L2 + D-Pad to Collect Underwater

You can select the target by pressing L2 + D-pad while underwater. Gathering can also be done manually by placing the cursor on the target. However, this method is not recommended as it is time-consuming.

Collect in Items Area 6

After gathering in Area 12, fast travel to Area 6. Gather the nearby Gobletweed from the three locations. while picking up the Ancient Wyvern Coin in the water near the Pop-Up Camp

After Collecting, Return to Area 8

Once you have collected all the Ancient Wyvern Coins and Gobletweed, return to Area 8. Both items will respawn if you rest at camp, so repeat from step 2 until you have the desired amount.

Item Trade With Rove

Gobletweed can also be traded for Ancient Wyvern Coins from Rove in Area 20 of Iceshard Cliffs. If you need Ancient Wyvern Coins, trade in any spare Gobletweed available.

Speak to Nata in Camp

After completing Chapter 4-1, if you speak to Rove at least once, you can access Item Trades with Rove by talking to Nata at Base Camp.

Items Change Over Time

Item Trade lineup will change over time, you can also manually change the lineup by resting at Camp. However, doing so will consume 300 Guild Points.

Obtain by Item Trade with Rove

In the Item Trade with Rove in Iceshard Cliffs, Ancient Wyvern Coin may appear in the lineup. It can be exchanged for Gobletweed or Chaliceweed, making it easier to obtain compared to other methods.

Pick Up in the Field

Ancient Wyvern Coin occasionally drops in the field. Since its appearance is random, it's rare to find even if you're actively looking for it. Consider it a lucky find if you happen to spot one.

Also Revealed by Monster Attacks

In Windward Plains, Ancient Wyvern Coin may be revealed when the dunes collapse due to attacks from monsters like Doshaguma.

Effect of Ancient Wyvern Coin

Use for Item Trade with Kirakamen

Ancient Wyvern Coins are used for Item Trade with Kirakamen in the Wudwud Hideout in Scarlet Forest. Valuable items such as Gold Melding Ticket and Gold Relic Ticket will also appear in the exchange list with a probability.

You Can Trade Items With Nata After Talking

After clearing Chapter 4-1, talking to Kirakamen at least once will allow you to trade items with him by speaking to Nata at Base Camp. From then on, you won’t need to visit the Scarlet Forest anymore.
