Notes on Data Migration and Saving

Can Only Be Shared Between The Same Platforms

Save Data can be shared and transferred between the same platforms. While Crossplay is available, note that you cannot share save data to other platforms.

Cannot Create Multiple Characters

MH Wilds One Save File Only

In the beta test, only one character can be created per account. If you wish to start from the beginning, you have no choice but to delete the older save file.

Can You Create More Than 3 Characters in the Final Version?

In previous titles, you could create 3 characters. It looks like you can create more than 3 characters in Monster Hunter Wilds as well.

Some Data Will Be Reset

You can transfer save data; however, data such as Hunter friends, follows, followers, and circles you belong to will be reset. Note that this information is from the beta version and is subject to change.

How to Copy/Migrate Save Data on PS5

Subscribe to Playstation Plus and Back Up Saves to Cloud

MH Wilds playstation+

If you subscribe to PlayStation Plus, you can upload the save data to cloud storage. If you have deleted the save data on your console or want to play on a different PS5, you can download the save data from cloud storage.

How to Upload and Download

1 Open settings
2 Open save data and game/app settings
3 Select upload or delete from device storage
4 Upload Save Data

Open the settings menu on the top right of the PS5 home page.

Open the "Save Data and Game/App Settings" from the menu.

After selecting the save data (PS5), select " Upload or Delete from Console Storage".

Select and upload the Monster Hunter Wilds save data. If the upload is completed successfully, the save data will be saved on the cloud.

Open the settings menu on the top right of the PS5 home page.

Open the Save Data and Game/App Settings from the menu.

Choose to Download or Delete From Cloud Storage

After selecting the save data (PS5), choose Download or Delete from Cloud Storage.

Select and download the Monster Hunter Wilds save data.

If a save data file already exists in the main storage, a confirmation screen will appear. Select 'Yes' to complete the download.

How to Duplicate/Overwrite Save Data on Steam

1 Open Steam user info
2 Open user ID folder
3 Backup the 3065170 folder

Open your Steam user folder.

The folder with only numbers is the user ID folder, open your own folder.

Backup the 3065170 Folder

Copy the 3065170 folder and create a backup by saving it to a different directory. Note that 'data00-1.bin' and 'data001Slot.bin' in the folder are essential for save data, so be sure to save them together without changing their file names.

Replace Save Data

If you wish to access your old backup data, copy the two files 'data00-1.bin' and 'data001Slot.bin' from the backup folder to their original location.

Select Save From The Menu

You can save manually by selecting 'Save' on the menu screen. Use this to save changes made at your base.

Save From the Return to Title Screen

You can also save by selecting 'Return to Title' on the menu screen. If you do not want to save, select 'Go Back Without Saving'.

Autosave on Loading Screen

Autosave is turned on by default and will always save at the start of the quest and on the loading screen after quest completion. An icon will be displayed at the bottom right side of the screen to indicate that an Autosave is ongoing.

You can delete save data by pressing the △ button on the character selection screen. For the Steam version, use the R key instead
